The current Yelp! rating is not indicative of the service or experience here. It seems everyone rating poorly are angry they weren't allowed to bring in outside food. Maybe because I went to a matinee on a weekday, I wasn't searched. But I also brought a very small, clear bag that showed I was only carrying the bare essentials. The ticket prices (I saw two movies) are the lowest I've seen, around 12 bucks. I realize they are more expensive for evening shows, but this is still beyond reasonable. The theaters are large and the recliners are comfy. They have stadium seating and some theaters have partitions. They have swivel tables for food. In the beginning of the show, if you order at the concession stand, they'll bring your food to you. I had a couple of their drinks (yes, you can have cocktails while you watch). They are sugary and nothing spectacular, but that's okay. It's a theater staffed by high school and college aged students, not cocktail connoisseurs. I was hungry between movies, so I had some of their cheese fries. Again, okay. The fries themselves were hot and well seasoned, but I could have done without all the nacho cheese and ranch dressing (I realize that's the appeal for some people). For a large plate of cheese fries and a double shot drink, I paid about 38 bucks. Honestly, that isn't crazy to me given what I ordered. They also have popcorn, pretzels (which is what I wanted, but they were unable to make them that day), hotdogs, pizza, burgers. They also have places to sit in the lobby as well as a small table you can park at to eat. Everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. Some of them were very conversational about the films playing. The auditoriums were clean, as were the bathrooms. I am pleased with my experience here and think this was just the first of many matinees in my future. read more

Will not be returning here nor do I recommend it to anyone. I came here cause I seen it was a smaller theater rather than going to regal in Clarksville or Fandango at the mall but that was a mistake. They are overpriced, the food is nasty & you gotta buy a combo can't just grab a bag of popcorn & the popcorn tasted old... rude guy when they check your purse which I find weird even if I had brought outside snacks it was still an invasion of my privacy. I would not consider this place if I were you. read more

Do not support this place. Highest prices for a theater around and they forcibly make u get a combo for any popcorn just to make their stale popcorn prices higher. Where in the world can you not get a small popcorn? Go to Clarksville and let this place close again. read more

Have been there multiple times and every time I've been there, they've been absolutely spotless. I even had an incident where I bought a movie ticket on accident, but I was able to call the manager/owner was able to help me. The food, yes it is a little over priced, but that's per usual for any movie theater I've ever been to. We've ordered food before and they brought it to us instead of us having to wait until it's done. Staff is friendly, they do check bags, but again I lived in a small town with a movie theater that was locally owned and they do that as well. All over 10/10 experience I love coming here. read more

Absolutely worst experience ever. Please go to nearby Regal in Clarksville. Bags were checked and yes we had food, 4 & 6 year old grandchildren who can't have the junk they sell. Once I went to the car they checked my purse again and refused to even allow a water bottle in. On top of that the the staff was extremely demeaning. The manager then had the audacity to tell me that since he is a small business owner I shouldn't tell people that his business is unreasonable and to go elsewhere. Please do not support this theatre until they make some changes to match the policies of other theatres in the area which are way more reasonable. read more

My children and I always have a good experience when we go. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable.

The movie experience was just fine. love the seats! however the young man at the entrance who demanded that I open my purse was not ok. he was rude and definitely on a power trip. he didn't ask nicely, he demanded and then had attitude from there on out. Also embarrassed my husband by shouting at him about the no blanket policy. it was for our young son and we had no idea you couldnt have a blanket. Theres a way to speak to people and he was very condescending. I ended up putting my bag in the car instead of having him look through it. Please explain your staff how to deal better with people. read more

Heard about The Showbox from my awesome barber, Heather L. at 2 Heathers in Clarksville. Went online and got tickets to see The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Once we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The concession prices are reasonable and being able to get an affordable mixed adult beverage was a bonus. The seating is a bit far from the screen, considering the size of the screen. I look forward to coming back and trying the dinner theater, oh yes that is a thing here. read more

Had my kids for the weekend and decided to take them and my wife to this new theater (or "theatre" for those that care about old spelling) over the weekend. To start, the place was very impressive as far as cleanliness is concerned and everything looked new. To be fair however, they did just complete a full remodel, so I guess that's expected? As we all know, cleanliness can change the outlook of any business, but especially theaters where we sit for an extended period and eat, so kudos to them for setting that standard. Couple things I need to mention though before y'all head out there: 1) we initially went there because we wanted to enjoy a meal as advertised while we watched a movie, however they only a meal (dinner) at the 6:00pm showing, so keep that in mind before choosing which movie to go see. 2) they actively search any bag brought in before going to see the movie to ensure you don't sneak in any snacks and passively ensure you buy the extremely overpriced snack bar food. I'm honestly conflicted about this-on one hand I get why they do it and don't fault them for it, but on the other hand...I mean, that's a historical thing people do...and they do it because they don't want to pay $10 for a freaking soda...so I get that as well. They were very cordial and service was awesome and the joint was clean, so that alone gets a lot of props from this guy, but the active bag search is a tad on the chincy side. Showbox, focus on making your business a place people want to go and that will pull in revenue. Searching people's bags will probably only serve to push people away, whether you agree or disagree, so need to think about that. read more

Great seats, intimate theater, great sound. Went for the dinner experience and the food was pre-cooked, bland and overpriced. After paying $20 for a meal we found that drinks were not included so another $7. Would go again strictly for a movie but never for the dinner. read more

They completely gutted the old theater and redid it beautifully. Everything is over the top. Including a full bar! The closest theater I've ever been to that even compares is in Nashville but that one is twice the cost I would recommend watching a movie in our hometown over anywhere else! read more

This is the dirtiest nastiest place I have ever been in. The carpeted floors are unbelievable dirty and stained. The fabric on the wall is COVERED in dust. The other walls are sticky. The concession area seems to be clean as well as the bathrooms. I can't imagine the health department has not shut them down. HOWEVER....it is the only movie theater in town and my grandson likes to go after school so I suffer through it occasionally. read more

We are visiting from Maryland and found this movie theater. It is behind a building, tucked in all way back. It is clean and seats are really comfortable. The price is reasonable. Restrooms are spotless. Tuesday's is half off popcorn and fountain drinks. Service was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this theater if you are in the area. We will be back for sure. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is TERRIBLE. worst experience of my life. I went and as I was pulling into my parking space with other cars around me I walked to the door and noticed it was locked and I was very confused considering the closing hours were later than my arrival time. As I checked my watch I noticed a girl peeking from the corner of what I'm assuming is the kitchen. And another peeking from behind the counter. They were hiding from me!! The price was right but it smelled like a dirty bathroom and the seats and carpets were filthy. They forgot to turn out the lights until the movie was almost over. We left feeling like we needed a shower and to have our clothes dry cleaned. The movie was great but we'd NEVER go back. read more
