My husband and I hired Niki for our wedding. We were on a tight budget and didn't think we'd get that great of a photographer, but just wanted someone there to take some pictures. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we met with Niki and she was willing to work with us on the price and did an OUTSTANDING job! We love our wedding photo's so much and get lot's of compliments on them also. Now if you're like me and hate having your picture taken, then that is just another reason to hire Niki. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable and was very clear with what she wanted us to do in the pose. And don't think that you're going to get a bunch of cookie cutter pictures either! All of our pictures are beautiful and unique. Now our wedding was in 2010 and in 2012 we had our first child. So naturally when our daughter turned one this month (5-12-13) we called Niki to do some 1st birthday photos and some family pictures. We have yet to see the photo's but I know they are going to be great. I know that photographing kids, especially a one year old, can be kind of tricky. She was able to get and hold our daughters attention to get some great shots. She also took advantage of some candid's of our daughter just being a curious kid. So would I refer her to someone? I can't say enough about Niki - she is just phenomenal. We hired her for our 5/24/14 wedding, and she did an amazing job in every way. Niki was there for me throughout the planning/scheduling process and really went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. She came up with a schedule for the day that was realistic and allowed for some flexibility time-wise, and was really excellent at coordinating our wedding party and family photos. On the day of, she and her two assistants were efficient and friendly - they made sure to bring us water while we were baking in the sun, and when some favors were forgotten at home one of Niki's assistants was kind enough to run out to our house. The wedding photos we have gotten so far (teasers on Facebook and her blog) have been so amazing and all of our friends and family are really impressed by how beautiful and unique her photography style is. I also really like that she gives you the rights to your photos (where many photographers in the area do not) and her packages are very reasonable. The engagement session was included (and so much fun) and it really solidified the fact that working with Niki was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Niki is an amazing photographer. After meeting with countless other photographers we ended hiring her for our wedding and we couldn't have been more happy. She had so many great wedding packages that met our budget and was extremely helpful throughout the process. One thing that was an added bonus to us is that she gave us rights for our photos without charging us an arm and a leg like other photographers. She had so many ideas for our engagement session and we had a blast because she made it very fun and not stressful. She has a wealth of knowledge in this field and for a bride who knows very little, she is very helpful. At our rehearsal, she gave very great advice on what we could do and made the night go very smoothly. On the wedding day, we ran a little behind but she helped keep me calm and focused on what we could do. I really enjoyed all the pictures she took and couldn't be more happier. Niki was the photographer for my wedding in August of 2013 in Truckee, CA and she was absolutely fantastic. She is extremely easy to work with and made my husband and I feel comfortable throughout the entire picture process.
