If you're in this area you NEED to have dinner here! You will not regret it. The most delicious authentic German food is found here in this cozy small restaurant that has something for everyone. The portion sizes are very big and come with multiple side dishes. Menu is in German and English and the staff speak good English. I got the Pork Fillet (#85 on the menu) and husband got the Roast Wild Boar (#171). Meat was cooked to perfection, while the side dishes alone were enough to fill you up (no need for an appetizer). My friends had their wedding reception here about 10 years ago (memories!) and we went for late lunch the other day. There's a beautiful outdoor patio and the interior is simply charming. Everything was lovely. I had a venison ragout with spaetzle (because I had to give in and have some carbs) and apple sauce with a lingonberry-esque berry garnish. My friends took the sauerbraten and viewer schnitzel, which both were very nice as well (and as usual, it seems). Conveniently, they are open all day Sunday, which is a plus in this region. read more
