My first interaction with Dr Gordon was top notch. He listened about my unique health challenges…read moreand worked with me to adjust newly prescribed medications so they would be tolerable. However at the second visit, which was supposed to be for an echocardiogram and also being set up with the heart monitor, I was unfortunately deeply disappointed. In fact so much so that I have canceled future appointments and moved on to a new cardiology practice. The echocardiogram technician instructed me to remove my clothing and put on a gown while he prepared to do the echocardiogram. I don't know @ what point over the last few years that this practice (having a male technician with a woman alone and partially disrobed) has became considered normal, but to me it is certainly not acceptable to me to have a male technician do an echocardiogram! (By the way, I had forgotten what was involved in an echocardiogram, or I would have asked up front for a female.) So I refused the ultrasound, politely telling the technician that I would go elsewhere where I had a choice of a female technician. I also mentioned several times that it was nothing personal, but I did not agree with this policy. I sat down in the waiting room again to prepare for the next part of the appointment at this practice, after telling the woman at the front desk. Within less than 5 minutes I received a phone call from the Dr himself, accosting me about what I had supposedly said to his technician that was a personal upfront. I deny the accusation. It certainly was not true and what took place was NOT according to the story of the young technician. Dr Gordon was amicable in moving to reschedule the echo elsewhere, of course, (where I could choose to have a female clinician). Unfortunately, this situation is fraught with several challenges. One being the unprofessionalism of the echocardiogram technician, trotting right over to the doctor and complaining about me as if I had done something wrong. Secondly the unprofessionalism of the Dr himself, calling me up and confronting me about what I had said to his technician. Thirdly, why are women being railroaded through tests like this in doctor's offices without being given a choice first? I felt like I was ambushed, but I did stand up for myself, for which I am glad. I can't imagine other senior women being in this predicament as I was initially with being told to disrobe and put on a gown for a young male technician to do an ultrasound that would include a gown open at the front, revealing my breast area. I wanted to ask the doctor, how would you feel if this was your daughter, your wife, or your sister?! And what is happening in our culture that doctors are allowed to speak to patients this way? It's difficult enough to be ill and need medical care, but to have to endure this kind of disrespect?! This is just way over the top. I feel that all of what took place is quite tacky and unprofessional and I will no longer be returning to this practice. Heads up!

Dr. Alyssa is truly one of the best doctors we've ever had…read more My parents have been seeing Dr. Alyssa for about a year now, and I can honestly say she is one of the kindest, warmest, most genuine primary care doctors you will ever meet. She doesn't talk down to you or rush you -- when you speak with her, it feels like talking to a good friend who truly cares. What really stands out is how incredible she has been with my parents, who both have dementia. We were previously going to one of the top dementia clinics in all of Arizona, but Dr. Alyssa has done more for them with her compassion, patience, and understanding than any specialist has. She explains everything clearly, takes her time, and always makes sure we understand the plan moving forward. She has a true heart for people, especially seniors with cognitive issues, and her kindness shows in every interaction. It's no surprise she already has a 5-out-of-5 star rating(in my eyes)-- she absolutely deserves it. If you're looking for a doctor who is thorough, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her patients, Dr. Alyssa is the one you want. She's simply outstanding.

Dr. Ronan is one of the best doctors I've ever had. Unfortunately, I've had A LOT, due to chronic…read morerespiratory issues. Dr. Ronan was the third pulmonologist I sought care from and have never looked back. She's EXTREMELY smart, up-to-date on all current medical research, spends so much time with each patient, and is genuinely invested in your well-being and health. I have a habit of googling and researching my symptoms and diagnoses and this is not always received well by other doctors I've had. However, Dr. Ronan encourages me to do this, as she knows the patient is an expert on their own bodies, so she wants to take into consideration any possible theories you may have about what's going on. In addition to Dr. Ronan, her staff are amazing. Her MA is quick and responsive. They have the prior authorization process down and will work to challenge insurance companies if initially given a denial. I've told Dr. Ronan that I literally owe her my life. She brought me back from the lowest point in my life, due to chronic illness, to a place where I can live a happy, healthy, "normal" life of a 42 year old. She never gave up, even though my conditions were complex and took a lot of trial and error, and was along side me through everything. Everyone deserves a doctor like Dr. Ronan!

I had the best experience with Dr. Bridgett Ronin and Arizona Pulmonary Specialists. I had a chest…read morex-ray that was very concerning and wanted to see a specialist ASAP. I called the office and Maggie the scheduler, was able to get me in to see Dr. Bridgett Ronan in a few days. The office assisted me in having my CT scan results sent to their office prior to my visit. Once I arrived at the office they checked my temperature before I entered the lobby, ensuring the safety of all patients present in the waiting area. Kasia, the doctor's assistant checked my vitals and gave me a brief pulmonary function test. She was very friendly but also very efficient. Shortly after I was checked into the room, Dr. Ronin arrived and explained my CT scan in great detail. She was warm and friendly at the same time very professional. She not only explained the results of my CT scan, she showed me the images and how she arrived at her determination. She took a lot of time explaining my condition and I felt very confident in her advice. She did deliver good news but I must say that even if she were giving me not such good news, she would have done it in a very detailed and compassionate way. I will be followed by Dr. Ronin for the foreseeable future to monitor my condition, and I really look forward to seeing her again. I'm 61 years old and Dr. Ronin is one of the best doctors I've ever encountered. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a very knowledgeable, educated, warm and compassionate doctor.

While my first visit was nice, recurring visits were awful…read more The main doctor I saw was nice, knew what he was talking about and explained everything I needed to do/testing/etc. clearly and concisely. Then; my follow up appointments were shoved around twice because he wasn't available. I had to see a nurse who noticed issues with my lungs; when I asked about trying to figure out what had caused the issues she clearly wasn't interested - "Well they seem to be getting better so call us if you have any issues". This is my *lungs* we are talking about and she didn't care at all about my concerns. My last visit was a visit scheduled months in advance; I had brought everything to the appointment as I wanted to talk to the doctor about things. The front desk then informs me that I cannot see the doctor because my referral had expired. When I informed her that it was insanely unprofessional to just let their patients' referrals expire without warning she merely told me "Sorry, it's the patient's responsibility to keep track of referrals." How am I supposed to keep track of this when *your* referral department (spoiler: They do not have one! Red flag!!) has all this information? My time was wasted and nobody who worked there could care less. Needless to say I've switched providers and I absolutely do not recommend anyone else visit.
