The store clerk was extremely rude to my fiancé who showed up right before the shop was closing. He wanted to buy something for me at the last minute and the clerk flipped the sign right in front of his face. To make it worse, another man was behind him who wanted to purchase something right away. Both he and my fiancé both pointed at one thing and said "I will purchase this now, here is my card." The clerk was snarky and kept repeating himself saying "we are closed". This man would have literally made almost $500 within one minute and he didn't care. I suppose they rip off so many other tourists that money doesn't matter that much to him. To make matters worse it wasn't even like he was trying to leave the shop, he just was unpacking inventory, so god forbid he had to deal with 2 paying customers. I've worked at shops and in the food service industry, you literally don't "slam" a sign in front of paying customers because you're done. Perhaps that's the Midwest in me to actually be polite and nice and thankful to have business and treat others with kindness because perhaps they'll come back. There are plenty of other similar shops, and even if I don't get what I want, just the sheer attitude makes me not want to step foot in there ever. I hope no one else wastes their time coming here as you can find many other places that will be grateful for your business. read more

My wife and I stopped in this shop during our first stay in Sedona. Olivier, the gentleman working the counter, exceeded expectations, providing excellent advice on which jewelry would look chic on my wife and which would look merely fine. Several customers entered the store during the time Olivier was helping us, and he adroitly worked among them and us to provide advice and make sales. My daughter, her wife, and I were in Sedona on day 9 and 10 of our 11 day trip through the Southwest. We had shopped in many stores that carried Native American jewelry, from Zion, to Bryce Canyon, to Monument Valley, to Sedona, and one of our favorites is Ninibah, located in the charming shopping center, Tlaquepaque. The quality and variety of rings, cuffs, pendants, and necklaces was exceptional here, and the prices were fair, unlike many of the other shops in town. We visited the shop one day and ended up returning the following morning to buy a fairly elaborate spiny oyster sterling silver signed cuff ($200, for me) and a pair of Albert Nells earrings. We had seen the exact same earrings for $70 more at Garland's, another jewelry store in Oak Creek Canyon, near Sedona. We did not see these earrings or a similar cuff in other stores we visited. We especially enjoyed the salesperson, whose name I did not write down, but who is well-informed, pleasant, not pushy, and turned out to be an artist as well. I would strongly recommend stopping here if you are looking for Native American jewelry in Sedona. Also recommend the tables set up by the Dairy Queen in Oak Creek Canyon. read more

Please plan to arrive at least an hour before closing time. The woman behind the counter was quite annoyed with us arriving 45 minutes before closing and immediately started in on my friend to make up mind before she would help her as she was busy closing up. I went directly to an area of items I wanted to be shown, was was entirely ignoresd while the rudish woman stammered on about how frustrated she was that we were there. Then a group of 5 people walked in and she was super warm and friendly with them, taking the time to explain on the history of the store and assuring them of how welcome they were to peruse the merch.they left immediately as they weren't interested in buying anything. Fortunately, the boss lady showed up and helped me to look at my objects of interest. They have an awesome selection. We ended up buying a few things. One of the expensive bracelets was not purchased because the rude lady refused to pull it out of the case because she had already finished writing up the receipt and couldn't be bothered further. The rude woman stopped being rude when her boss showed up. We left 10 minutes before closing as a new group of white folks were warmly welcomed in. Of note:. My friend is a person of color. Hi, We took my Dad to Sedona for a little get away. Had a great lunch then found this very nice gallery of southwest art. A wonderful collection of art from all groups of first nations folks from the four corners area. He purchased a refined Mana Katsina for his home. This fantastic shop is located in the beautiful Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village of Sedona. I'd been searching for a unique, beautiful, and quality turquoise cuff for years. My husband and I found this shop on the first day of a week long vacation to Sedona. I saw a cuff that I felt "fit the bill", but I didn't want to commit since we'd just gotten to town. After visiting just about every other shop that carried turquoise anything, I still had the cuff from Ninibah on my mind. My husband and I returned to the shop on the last day of our vacation. I was extremely fortunate that the cuff I liked was still there (rare that that happens!). Rex was very kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Bonus - he's a Navy vet, and he actually picked the cuff out for me! The prices are also very competitive with every place else you'll find in Sedona (despite what I would assume are high rent costs for being in the Village). I really can't say enough good things about this shop (can ya tell?!). Rex took the time to show me how to properly put on my bracelet, and explained how to best care for it as he shined it up for me before purchase. I left with a beautiful ring for myself and a money clip for metal sensitive husband. The ladies were extremely informative with who created each piece and provided information on the designer. They are set up to support the local Indian reservations which made me feel proud to purchase such beautiful hand crafted, one of a kind pieces, while supporting the artist and their families. We had a ball at Ninibah. The two ladies that were running the place, when we were there, were extremely knowledgeable. They really knew their Indian jewelry. The stock was of such uniformly high quality; and so artfully chosen, that we spent almost three hours there, making up our minds. In most of these stores; you come across a couple pieces that really strike your fancy. Ninebah had scores of things that we wanted to own. (Hence the three hours narrowing down our choices.) There are not only hundreds of pieces; but hundreds of exceptional pieces. Someone with really excellent taste must do their buying.
