Used this company to get to Wurstfest from Austin last year and it was one of the worst (no pun intended) bus experiences I have ever had. I will NEVER use them again. Here's the TLDR summary: 1. On the way there, bus/driver wouldn't take us all the way and left us in a random dark parking lot in the rain 15 minutes from our destination to "wait for another bus". 2. Driver refused to stop for the bathroom unless we each paid him $100 cash. 3. Bus left early without us on the way back. Full story: First, bus driver was very rude when multiple people asked to stop quickly to go to the bathroom after we'd been on the bus in traffic for quite a while. Driver said he wasn't paid enough for that and he'd only stop if we each paid him $100. I asked for his name and he became even ruder. So yeah... bathroom extortion. Then, when we almost reached New Braunfels, the bus turned into a strip mall parking lot and parked. Driver told everyone to get off and that another bus would be there soon to take us the rest of the way. There was no problem with the bus or driver, it just wasn't taking us the whole way. No one told us this would happen. The bus could've easily taken us the rest of the way (it wasn't a size issue, there were tons of other large buses dropping people right at the entrance). Eventually, 2 small vans came to pick us up. Only about half of us could fit in them and they didn't know when any more would arrive. We waited about 20 minutes in the dark parking lot in the pouring rain before we gave up and called an Uber instead. Lastly, after the festival, we waited for the bus at the designated pickup spot at the time we were told. No bus came for us. We tried texting and calling the bus driver. We waited for over half an hour and walked to other buses to double check. Turns out the bus had left 10 minutes early without any notice and had abandoned us there. We were a group of at least 6 people who should have been noticeably absent from the bus. Once again, had to call an Uber for ourselves all the way back to Austin which was VERY expensive. Complete waste of money. read more

Would not recommend this company! Horrible service! Will change what you book, make excuses, then use contract to get away with it. My event turned into an embarrassment using this company. A disgusting city bus turned up, no call to say what I booked was not going to be used so I could have at least tried to make other arrangements, or been prepared for the embarrassment. AMAZING PEOPLE!!! Micheal was the GOAT. We rented two buses for my brother's wedding yesterday and the vehicles themselves were very comfortable, clean, and had a great vibe. Beyond that though, the bus drivers were the best part. Being who I am, I left my phone on the bus on accident and one of the drivers (Michael) not only answered the "lost phone" call immediately, but he then proceeded to drive ALL the way back to where I was staying to give it back to me. He wasn't mad at all and was actually wicked nice about it which just warmed my heart. Especially since we had someone throw up all over the bus on the way back... Stix and Ninja Buses were incredible for our Non-Profit event this past weekend. We utilized them(and had our driver Daryl!) - pick up around South Congress Hotel and traveled to Jester King Brewery. They were super nice! And even upgraded us for free! What an incredible company filled with incredible employees delivering top notch services. I will most certainly recommend them moving forward. Pick up - They were on schedule and prompt. They were incredibly efficient at pulling up right across the street from our meet-up area. Daryl kept in constant contact throughout the day with me, and picked up within 15 minutes of me alerting him. We arrived back at the end location ahead of schedule. Also - we left some product on the bus, to which Stix and ownership have been so great at meeting up for to obtain back. Inside the bus, we had multiple refrigeration areas. We picked up ice before to ensure we could keep product cool on the bus. They also added a cooler for us for additional areas of storage. read more

The amazing driver from Ninja Buses stopped a man from stealing my phone and returned it to me free of charge!!! After leaving my phone on the bus in a bag as I was entering Wurstfest, the driver spotted a man with said bag trying to take it on a returning bus. This angel of a man stopped the guy trying to steal my phone, and I picked it up from the driver the next morning. He charged the phone too! 10/10 service for this man and this bus service!!! read more

Used their services for Wurstfest from Austin, what a horrible experience. I will never use them again. Advertised shuttle from Austin to NB in busses equipped with restrooms for $49pp, 'choose a pick-up time' for a guaranteed seat at that time. What a joke that was. It was all first come first serve. With hoards of people rushing the bus when it arrives without any direction or organization. So we finally get on a basic school bus, just for it to stop at Buccee's in San Marcos. "Everyone off and another bus will pick you up." We wait around and it's the same story. People rushing towards the sprinter van that holds 15 people trying to get a seat without any lines or organization in the Buc-ees parking lot. We ordered an Uber to take us the rest of the way because it was such a disaster. While waiting for the Uber, finally an all white city style bus showed and we jumped on that. Took every back road possible to Wurstfest. To arrive at Texas Tubes and the said it's a short 5-min walk to gate 1. In reality it was at least a 10 min walk. Never was it disclosed that we would have a transfer. They were likely scrapping to find any sort of transportation because they likely oversold. What the hell was the point of these connection transfers. Several people were upset because a commute that should have taken an hour, was 2 and a half hours. They provided no communication. Don't use them! You will regret it. Shoulda just ordered a Fetii like we initially planned. read more

Dishonest. My wife and I scheduled Calypso well over a year in advance due to covid for our wedding. 2 days before the wedding Mike called to let me know Calypso was no longer operating due to mechanical issues. We subbed in a lower cost bus as the best available on the fly. That bus got to the venue but broke down at the venue leaving guests stranded. After some time, an even lower cost city bus came and picked everyone up. Not ideal. What drives the 1 star most of all is the countless emails and phone calls that have intentionally (Mike ignores my number but will answer when another number calls right after) been ignored to get a refund for the money spent for Calypso when 2 lower cost buses were eventually delivered. read more

Michael is amazing! I was so crazy with planning and then changing plans but he was always super accommodating! He answers every time I call (even Friday night at 1am). We had ninja for 3 days and most of the drivers were great (4 total)! They were on time or early! I will say the buses were expensive for what they were. It was $4k with a bulk discount for the buses and it was just a city bus with lights and music. The bus's AC broke (they accommodated) but to a lesser quality bus, then the upgraded bus leaked from the ceiling in multiple places and wasn't conducive for a large group, very separate sections without audio playing throughout. If looking for a luxury party bus this isn't the option but definitely count on ninja for great customer service! read more

I booked the grey ninja bus for a group of 25 from Austin to the Hill Country. From the beginning they were extremely communicative and accommodating. They even reached out and offered to help with reservations, as several distilleries have rules and restrictions for buses. Our driver, Patrick, was great- prompt, reliable, and friendly. We and a large group rented a couple of these buses recently to take us to a crawfish boil, which then turned into a downtown Austin pub crawl. The buses were awesome and we had a blast. The drivers were friendly and accommodating, as was the owner when we asked for an extension of time. The John Denver bus, an old touring bus John named "Calypso" due to his friendship with Jacques Cousteau was particularly epic, especially for this old John Denver fan. Calypso seems to have been preserved very well in its original condition, and comes complete with a Fender Stratocaster under the back seat as well as an old Nintendo Play Station with a choice of classic games. Super cool way to make your way around town or on a central Texas road trip. We're already planning our next :). read more
