They initially were just for men as they had their products in London's top hotels. They source their ingredients from beautiful and amazing places all over the world, such as The Himalayas, Far tropics of Indonesia, Australasia etc. Unlike cheap shower gels, the oil content in these products is very high, so you only need and use a small amount, the fragrance lingers all day and I always receive many compliments from friends asking what I'm wearing. You can buy the small shower gels in a gift set, or the large containers. Soaps, hand washes and now beauty treatments such as bath salts are also available. They are wonderful on your skin, even the soap is a great moisture boost for the blokes. They are very friendly in here, and once you realise that you can't live without these products, you can also sign up to a free email letter, like a newsletter, at the till, to keep you updated on new releases etc. My favourites include classical heavenly gingerlilly, sensual henaleni (only available at Christmas), wild indigo, and the silver birch tree bath salt. This is pure luxury, the scents of the products and creams are like no other, although they are not cheap, you'll value these and love the compliments!

Everything is available that you could think of from clip in extensions, new trends and hair pieces to those party wigs, and not only for women, but children and men too. The lady in here also told me they have a catalogue that you can use to order! They offer a lot of bespoke pieces and I felt very welcome in here. It is not the biggest women's hairdressers around, but it certainly looked the part. The equipment they used looked very modern, clean and hygienic. I was very comfortable in their waiting area. The seats were comfy and they had a nice selection of magazines on offer to browse through whilst I waited. I was even offered a beer or a glass of white wine, but I only really wanted a cup of tea. I told them this and they were more than happy to offer me a cup. The haircut and blow dry cost my girlfriend thirty pounds and she was very pleased with the job done. I thought her hair looked great and would therefore recommend them to all the women I know.

I've been really staggered by the great relationship Anna has with her customers. She takes time to talk to them and they seem to love her to bits. Top Rock sells all sorts of gothic garb: top hats, velvet tailcoats, satin corsets and lacy-layered skirts. Some of the items are quite pricey, especially for goth teenagers, but there are plenty of affordable cosmetics and jewellery items. If you like wearing black and crushed velvet, then you'll love Top Rock.

I decided to write about Top Rock as I seem to be in there quite frequently. They have a great selection of coloured hair dyes by Stargazer, Crazy Color and La Rich'e (DIrections) and they also stock Stargazer make up - this stuff is brilliant for clubbing and fancy dress; particularly the Neon range as it shows up under UV light. There is also a huge selection of fake eyelashes and everything is so much cheaper than Boots or Superdrug. As well as all the usual goth attire that you'd expect, they have a large range of tutu style petticoats which are great to wear under a 50s rockabilly dress or skirt. These are more on the expensive side at around £20/£30. Eyelashes and hair dyes are about £3.99 and make up varies in price but I think it's very reasonable (I've done my research online).

The inside reminds me of Superdrug in layout and decor and I find it a very straightforward shop to use and find items that I want. The stock varies from week to week, so if you find yourself a real bargain then I suggest you stock up as chances are you could return tomorrow and they have sold out. Recent bargains I've had are Charles Worthington hair products at 99p each, Montagne Jeunesse masks for 19p and L'Oreal lip gloss costing just 49p. I could go on forever, but these are the ones that I bought so much of that my bathroom shelves are heaving! As you walk in you'll see the shelving units are really standard and simply go up and down the shop, unlike the annoying way Boots have started setting their shelves up where they are all going off at right angles to one another. This makes browsing really easy in Savers and because similar products are all displayed together you can compare them at a glance and make the right product choice for you. There are tonnes of hair care products which range from celebrity hairdressers stuff (Worthington, Nicky Clarke etc) to middle of the road items (Tresemme) and then brands I've never heard of but which are extremely cheap. I usually buy my shampoo and conditioner here as there is always something great within my budget, and also because this branch regularly stocks the L'Oreal Kids brand so I can buy the childrens' shampoo at the same time as my own. The deodorants and shower gels are also excellent value in Savers, with brands that I would usuaaly pay more than £2 for costing just 79p - 99p. The Lynx sprays in particular are excellent value and this branch always has a very good selection of these, as well as the shower gels. I think this branch of Savers has an excellent range of gift sets too, at vastly cheaper prices than other shops of this type. At this time of year the range of gift sets is better than ever as Savers attempt to lure shoppers away from the nearby Boots, obviously a discount shop like this will never be as good as the more expensive cosmetics shops but if you are prepared to spend some time mooching then you'll find plenty of top name gift sets at extremely good prices. Savers sells lots of make-up, again at knock down prices, and the make-up ranges from top brands such as L'Oreal to lesser known brands which are very cheap indeed. I even spotted some Urban Decay products in there recently which cost just pennies, compared to the mega pounds this brand usually costs! The staff in this branch of Savers are a mixed bunch, some of them are ready and willing to answer any questions you have while others are obviously just there for their wages at the end of the week and will do little to answer your queries. I have been going there for a while now and recognise the staff to ask and the ones to avoid, it's quite easy really as the unhelpful ones generally go around with faces like a wet weekend so you don't really want to approach these!

It's a decent salon and my husband has his hair cut here and his beard trimmed quite regularly. There is always a bit of a wait but there is often no need for an appointment which is a good thing. The salon obviously has regulars which is great and they always do a really good job I think so does my husband! Its quite reasonably priced although they have put the price up. On his lst visit I think my husband paid £10 for his hair cut.

If you are looking for variety in hair extensions and wigs, this is the place to visit in my view. Although this is a big shop, the passageways here are very narrow and there were times where I struggled to get past fellow customers. Considering this is a shop that specialises in cosmetics and is targeted at predominately females, I was surprised to see the majority of staff working here are male. But despite this they do know their stuff. Customer service is second to none and they will help you out.
