The person who did the ultrasound was nice but I was there such a long time someone else was going home and apparently her job was to take out the trash because she kept coming in the room and doing so while I was having the procedure which was odd. I was told I have multiple "bad" veins in each leg and the doctor even told me he could visually see additional ones that didn't show on the ultrasound (that they needed to get an insurance authorization for). What I thought was just cosmetic suddenly turned into a medical problem! They gave me a "treatment plan" and after waiting an entire month for my first treatment appointment as they said it was the first available, again the waiting area was standing room only but I managed to get a seat. At one point I had to use the restroom but didn't want to get up as I knew I would lose my seat! After 1.5 hours waiting I got up and the bathroom was disgusting. No toilet paper and there were paper towel rolls and paper hand towels thrown all over the place and no hooks on the door to hang belongings. Asked the receptionist if she had an idea of how much longer and she said there were 5 people still ahead of me (and the whole time I was there I only saw a few go in). I left. The whole environment made me feel disrespected as a person and I was very hesitant to return after the initial appointment but wanted to give it a chance. The doctor seemed nice and maybe doing the best he can, but not nice enough to overlook ridiculous wait times and unsanitary conditions. Follow up: I went to NYU Langone as I was not going back to this vein clinic. The first step again was an ultrasound, but this time I was told there is absolutely nothing wrong with ANY of the veins in my legs! Add fraud to my complaints above and stay away!!!!

I was not alone--lots of people walked into the wrong lobby while I was there. The receptionists seemed really on top of things. Taking and making calls and sorting out things in a very professional way. I was there was a cpap mask fitting and was taken off guard that I was taken into a bedroom, but it totally makes sense. A couple of weeks ago, it must've bumped against something and the entire thing swelled up and a large blood clot formed. I was in a lot of pain and nervous about what to do next. I did some research and found the Vein Treatment Clinic. I was able to get a very quick appointment which is impressive given we're in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. The staff took all the precautions to make sure safety protocols were followed and checking in was seamless. I met with one of the staff (Julianne) who was friendly, knowledgeable, and walked me through what to expect. Then I met with Dr. Juan Montoya who examined me. Both of them were total pros and really took their time to answer questions while giving me a broad overview of my problem and veins in general. I felt like I received an invaluable education. Going in, I was expecting the worst of course. Dr. Juan made me feel totally at ease and gave me assurances that he didn't want to do anything too overboard and that I'd be fine. I got a very honest and straight forward diagnosis. What more could you ask for? He gave me some tips on how to handle the injury and then they offered to do a broader Ultrasound to make sure things were ok. Truly grateful to have met with Dr. Juan, Julianne, and the team.

I did my part, I emailed and texted my insurance and my drivers license about 5times before my appointment because I had an appointment that was scheduled for January 9th and it was cancelled. The entire behavior of the staff gives unprofessionalism. The girls screaming, discussing other parent's information in the waiting room. I did not make it in the back to see the doctor, I left, but before I left I asked the same loud uncouth young lady her name in which she did not provide, she ask why I need her name, and by her No, she knew her behavior was unprofessional and I was going to make a complaint for her, so i decided to wait around to speak to a doctor in which I did speak with Dr.Ha, he was very apologetic however I still refused to seek treatment because first impression for me is very important and that loud unprofessional uncouth behavior says a lot about the kind of medical office I was about to receive treatment from. On procedure day, I was a bit nervous but the assistant was great about easing my nerves. I had been dealing with worsening varicose vein pain for nearly five years, so I was relieved by how quickly Metro Vein Clinic scheduled my appointment. At first, my experience was positive. The front desk staff was kind, my ultrasound technician was patient and gentle, and the doctor was personable and explained the procedure in a way that made me feel comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience after treatment has been very concerning. Months later, my leg has still not healed and is in worse condition than before I sought care. I raised these concerns multiple times, but did not receive meaningful follow-up or support from the doctor, which has been incredibly frustrating and worrying given the outcome. In addition, the cost and insurance aspects were not clearly communicated upfront. I am now left with a significant, unexpected bill on top of dealing with ongoing physical issues. I'm sharing this so others can make a fully informed decision. While the initial experience felt reassuring, the lack of transparency around costs, the complications following treatment, and the absence of adequate follow-up have made this a very difficult experience.
