I originally came to Metro Vein Clinic after Mount Sinai was unable to obtain insurance approval for my treatment two years in a row. I had been dealing with worsening varicose vein pain for nearly five years, so I was relieved by how quickly Metro Vein Clinic scheduled my appointment. At first, my experience was positive. The front desk staff was kind, my ultrasound technician was patient and gentle, and the doctor was personable and explained the procedure in a way that made me feel comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience after treatment has been very concerning. Months later, my leg has still not healed and is in worse condition than before I sought care. I raised these concerns multiple times, but did not receive meaningful follow-up or support from the doctor, which has been incredibly frustrating and worrying given the outcome. In addition, the cost and insurance aspects were not clearly communicated upfront. I am now left with a significant, unexpected bill on top of dealing with ongoing physical issues. I'm sharing this so others can make a fully informed decision. While the initial experience felt reassuring, the lack of transparency around costs, the complications following treatment, and the absence of adequate follow-up have made this a very difficult experience. I strongly encourage prospective patients to ask detailed questions about risks, recovery expectations, follow-up care, and financial responsibility before proceeding. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Office management is a complete disgrace. They have had me waiting for 3 months for an appointment after having insurance approval. On the day I was scheduled for my procedure and was already sanitized by the nurse prepared for my procedure they had to cancel me because they had not checked the doctor's name on my insurance authorization!!! Everything was ready to do their job, except management and billing had not. I spent time, money and my day off for nothing. read more

I was told by the doctor that one treatment would get rid of a small spider vein on my leg. It didn't and when I expressed my disappointment they offered a free "touch up." Sadly, the vein looks the same as before I wasted my money and time. Don't waste your money on Metro Vein Center, they don't deliver results. read more

It saddens me to write this review as for the better part of a year, my experience with Metro Vein Center was wonderful. I was treated by Dr. Ha at the SoHo location. Both he and the staff were a delight. They were professional, attentive and quick to respond to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, that all shifted. Twice I was told by Dr. Ha at the end of a treatment that he would treat a different area on my next visit and that they would contact my insurance company for approval. On both occasions, I was just given an ultrasound and told they would schedule a treatment for another date. I didn't protest it, but it was certainly annoying given I have a hefty co-pay for specialists. The third time it happened I was done. I called the office on three separate occasions to get it resolved. Each time I was told they would speak with Dr. Ha and get back to me. They never did. It's clear that they perhaps operate this way to increase profits but it's bad business. It's a shame because I loved my experience there as a patient for quite some time. read more

Very disappointing. Went for swelling in leg was given a gnarly radio frequency leg ablation which did absolutely nothing. Went back, Dr Mandy explained i needed another 'flush out' and I also wanted treatment of spider veins. Upon booking the appointment they asked me to come back again for another ultrasound to decide what to do? I'd already been back after surgery when i thought that was decided. Kinda feel there's a lot of unnecessary visits to charge the insurance and no health results. Moving my custom to another practice that seems to be more engaged with the patient to efficiently treat with less visits. Worth saying the admin staff were always a pleasure to deal with. Such a pity about the medical care that I lack faith in after my experience. read more

Dr Justin Ha treated my veins without my permission and lied about that i gave him permission. I only told him specifically what veins to treat. He injected medication in healthy veins without discussing it with me first. I was in dismay when I got home with terrible effects in the veins i never asked to be treated. He tried to wiggle out of this situation in dishonest and sneaky way. Never returned my calls or emails. Not only that, he disfigured otherwise healthy veins. Now I am suffering from pain, swelling and clots He suggested i go to Emergency Room I have been asking for his supervisor's contact info. I never received one. Nobody from Metro Vein Center reaches out to me to address my complaint. It has been more than three months now. No improvements of bruising, clots, engorged veins in otherwise perfectly healthy-looking veins. I feel terrible malpractice has occurred and no one tries to fix it read more

This place is as dishonest as it could get. The front desk had assured me multiple times that my treatment/ s would be covered by my insurance. As like my previous visits, On my 4th visit I asked again whether my insurance is covering or not and they said I shouldn't worry because BCBS covers it. I replied why do I have a balance of about $300+ on my online portal of my health insurance EOB? The front desk asked if I spoke to finance bec she wouldn't know. Oh, now she doesn't know. Now I have to speak to finance after my 4th appointment? Why wasn't I redirected to finance from the get go? She also gave me the paper that I'm responsible for what my insurance doesn't cover on my 3rd/ 4th appointment, which I felt something shady going on. I was put on the phone with finance and long story short they said I have a $400 deductible and I'm lucky because some patients have $5000 deductible and I shouldn't receive any more bills after the $400. I'm lucky??!! Anyway, fast forward I continued with the treatment as the bill almost reached my deductible, paid the bill, and I receive a new surprise bill of $400+. So $800+ later my main concern, which was my popped vein, is still visible and management won't take responsibilities for my bills. TOTAL SCAM. I was ordered to go for multiple treatments always hoping to treat my popped vein but so they can milk my insurance I was made to go multiple visits and not being clear as to why I have to go for my next visit, they'd 'treat' something else read more

Hello... I cannot recommend this amazing medical practice high enough... Dr. Mandy, the nurses, and the staff are ALL absolutely amazing... and kind, patient, and listened to me with genuine interest. Nine years ago I was bitten by a dog and the five tiny tooth marks grew out of control. Endless visits to a doctor using the UNNA BOOT as the wound continued to grow out of control as I suffered... I finally did a more in-depth research and read about Metro Vein Center and made an appointment... and what they have done already in two visits has been life changing,.. As a lifelong church and temple organist I use my feet all the time playing the organ pedals and PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS.., and I adore swimming... and the disgusting leg wound was extra terrible, not to mention painful, and horribly embarrassing... Now I am on my way to FULL RECOVERY because of Dr. Mason Mandy and Metro Vein Center. I give them my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. and if you need help like I did please call them and make an appointment. I've had a second procedure, and it went just as well as the first.one. now that both are done, there is little pain. Could be because of the rainey weather. Anyway, I only took Ibuprofen twice. Don't be alarmed the bruising will go away. Let's not forget, I am 59 3/4. I take no medicines. That being said, I am truly healthy. Follow the aftercare instructions, and you should be fins. My third procedure will, hopefully, be the last. So long for now, I will fill you in later. read more
