I went to get a haircut and "lo and behold" it was exactly as I remembered except a couple of hundred yards around the corner in the same shopping center. Paul and Hoyt were still cutting hair. They give great haircuts for a reasonable price ($18). The place is family oriented, no TV, loud music, or foul language, just pleasant conversation. Hoyt just retired recently. One of the original barber's daughter, Cindi, is a barber there. Anyway, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Most take for granted the little things, like being OK with scissors and buzz clippers with noise and unexpected motions around the head. Our kid is watching like a hawk and scared to death. Our stylist has worked a miracle in only 3 visits to now we can at least use the buzz cutters with significant distractions. Having the toys nearby, cars to sit in, tablets to view, and being willing to work at his pace has made all the difference in the world - and has gained our hard-earned trust in the process. One of the main reasons for this review is to give props to my hair stylist, Brooke Moore. She's the bomb. The first time I met her, we hit it off. She's also extremely gifted with her hands and knows what to do. There are not many barbers or stylists around that know how to properly execute a flat top, but my-oh-my does she know how. I've had so many compliments about my hair after she gets through, I can't tell enough people about this amazing person. Recently, my 5-year-old grandson needed a cut and so we made an appointment with Brooke. He is usually a squirmy and inquisitive young man, but for this session, he sat still, responded to her requests to turn his head or look up or down, and the results were such a handsome young man. Another reason I like this place is that it is conveniently located across from West Town Mall. Also, they take walk-ins but for me, a big draw is that they take appointments. My time is valuable, so being able to make an appointment and be in and out in 30 minutes is huge. So if you're looking for a barber, this is your go-to place and Brooke is your must see stylist.
