Nit's Thai Food is always so ridiculously good. Easily one of the best restaurants around Moose Jaw and Regina. We got the #12 with seafood and the #23 with shrimp and cashews. We also got an appetizer, #2. Had never tried it before, but it was amazing. Will definitely order it again! read more

Everything you expect from a great hole in the wall! Mostly empty, old furniture and outdated devout. While traveling in Moose Jaw, this immediately became my go-to spot. Jasmine tea is so fresh that you get to strain the leaves out yourself. The noodle bowls were spiced excellently. Improvements could be made to appearance and the menu needs updated. Did not look up on Yelp due to no internet access As other reviewers state, the prices are out of line, way too expensive for the dining experience you actually get. Pad Thai and one spring roll set me back $23. Outdated dingy decor. No apparent air conditioning, uncomfortable in July. Wait staff was friendly yet inattentive with only a few tables occupied. I had to ask for water several times. On to the food! Appetizer: The fresh spring rolls are the kind that more resemble a burrito than the crisp cool spring rolls I prefer. An order consists of one large loosely wrapped roll filled with raw cabbage and hot fresh cooked ground spicy pork. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected in a spring roll. No dipping sauce a minus. Main Course: I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and was served Pad Thai with pork. Not wanting to extend my stay any longer by sending the dish back, I ate it anyway, it tasted pretty good. I ordered it hot and the kitchen got that part as I expected, (not native Thai hot, but pretty hot). In summary, if this was a funky little hole in the wall Thai take-out that cost $10 less, I'd be writing about what a cool find in Moose Jaw. I wanted Thai food, crummy reviews be damned. Very happy we went here. We were in the restaurant about an hour before closing and there were only a couple other tables occupied when we arrived. We didn't know what to expect, we didn't even know what to pick, the server didn't know how to explain anything. Ordered our meals. 15 minutes later, she stops by to say I have to pick something else because they were all out of what I ordered. So I ordered the black bean basa dish. ? Took over 30 minutes to be served. Mine came 15 minuets after my spouses dish. Which turned out to be soup like. A very thin broth loaded with black bean pieces and About a cup worth of julienne cup raw ginger. I had a few bites but the amount of raw ginger made it unappealing. read more

I was skeptical with the reviews I had read, but noticed that the most recent review was 3 years old. It was a hot 42.8 C day, so Thai probably was a silly choice, but the food was still good. I had the pud thai, which was just pad thai with a different name. The service was great and the food was acceptable for the price. I was in and out in about 40 minutes with a bill of about $23. I was the only customer in there, but I'd attribute that mostly to the heat and time of day. I would return to this restaurant if I wanted pad thai again. read more

Whoa nellie, was this ever a weird restaurant. I can't say that the wait staff was rude in the sense of being mean or unfriendly, but I can definitely say that this was the crudest, most rough around the edges, most CLASSLESS serving staff I've ever encountered. It began when they bellowed across the rather large restaurant for us to come to the back. Then, when looking at the menu and we asked what was Nit's specialty, our first waitress loudly barked "You're looking at it." The waitress who brought our food practically threw a plate of chicken satay skewers on our table along with two small bowls of sauces and mumbled, "Spoon some of this then spoon some of this then start shoveling it in." Then she walked away. When she heard us commenting on her instructions ("What did she say?? Did I hear her right) she came back and repeated it again. Except louder! Besides the ludicrously uncouth wait staff, the other shocker was the prices. I'm willing to overlook unpolished serving staff and a dump of a restaurant in exchange for great food at good prices, but $20 for chicken coconut soup?? Many of the entrees were up in the $17+ range, and the portion size was simply average. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where prices are insane, and I eat a lot of Thai, and have NEVER seen prices like this. And I'm not some snooty American either -- I'm born and raised in Saskatchewan and love to eat good food, regardless of how fancy it is. Nit's is practically an icon in Moose Jaw, but WHY? Why? I called for take-out and got suggestions for ordering for 4 people, since I didn't have a menu. I ordered vegetarian Pad Thai and then went with the server's suggestions: ginger beef, cashew chicken, satay chicken, fresh rolls (garlic beef and cabbage) and a noodle dish with vegetables. Let's start with the Pad Thai which I would say was inedible. Soggy deep-fired pieces of tofu, gummy noodles dressed with ketchup and sugar. No vegetables. Is revolting too strong as an adjective? Nope, we're going with revolting. The other food was mediocre at best and visually unappetizing. To be fair, the steamed rice was good. Speaking of unappetizing...if I was in Thailand and learned that the name I had chosen for my restaurant translated as "egg of head lice" I would hastily choose another name. Oh, I almost forgot the best part! The bill was $90! I laughed out loud when the server said $90. The guy behind us picked up a greasy bag of take-out (leaking out of the bag) and his bill was $85! read more

Where to begin...shovels and brooms leaning in the corner...definitely a smell in the air...still trying to figure out what it was. I echo most of the other reviews...average food at unbelievably high prices. The waitress was another whole story...unfriendly is being way too nice. She mostly sat with her man friend and acted like we were interfering with her date night. No music. We were the only other customers and asked if they had music, because we could hear their conversation and she said no! The food was barely okay...one dish was cold. I eat Thai food every where I go...from Atlanta, to Anchorage, to Asheville, NC and this was very low on the long list. Two dishes and three beers was $55...about double what it shoulda been. Live and learn. Wish I'd read the Yelp review instead of the google one...would of definitely thought twice. How this place is in business, is a mystery to me. I recently went for lunch at this restaurant because I love Thai food like so many others and remember it being good at one time (a long time ago). Well this was not the case any more. I knew it was not going to be good from the get go. The guy (owner maybe) was kind of like I could care less if you are here and basically took our order while he was trying to do cash and cook at the same time. What kind of a restaurant operates this way? I was hoping the food would be good at least. It was NOT. The satay was way too sweet and the gingery chicken (forgot the Thai name) was gingery but otherwise awful. To add insult to injury the prices were very high for this bad experience.
