I've experienced WSPR as a patient for more than a year now, and I can honestly say that this place can work wonders for those who have committed themselves to recovering from an injury, and the necessary lifestyle changes that might accompany the process. The office makes sure to understand your insurance coverage at the initial conversation, so once they give you the options for care, you can partner with them to create a treatment plan that works for you and your budget. The office staff are friendly, quick, and helpful; what's more, I've worked with all of the providers at this facility over time, and I've never had a bad experience. The acupuncture team each come to the table with their own distinct style (They don't currently have any Japanese-style practitioners available, which I prefer, but that's fine.), and I've found value in all of my sessions: they ask the right questions, give efficient assessments, outline a course of action for the treatment, and I leave walking a little taller, and a little more easily, than when I arrived. The PT team make it their business to challenge me and expand the edge of my range of movement, strength, and flexibility. It can feel rather uncomfortable at times, but I need and benefit from their efforts and have never seen anything but improvement in my functionality after a session. Dr. K is on-site to provide prescriptions for PT as needed and for other services, including assessment and treatment such as injections for knee pain and/or swelling, etc. He's phenomenal. Dr. Jake, one of two chiropractors on-site, is knowledgeable and gets to the heart of the matter with a brisk, effective intake process. His manipulations are traditional. (I'm not thrilled with traditional technique, but only because I'm a die-hard DNFT champion - see my other review for Dr. Christopher John elsewhere.) All in all, these kind, helpful people have made a very uncomfortable, challenging chapter of my life less so; they've brought a smile to my face and laughter to my lips not only because they bring humanity to an otherwise bureaucratic process, but because they do so with great expertise as well. When recovering from an injury you need to remember that your results in large measure reflect the amount of effort you brought to the table yourself; and if you can bring that effort, these folks will do their best to make sure that you get as far back to optimal as current practice can deliver.

Once I arrive, I was advised that this company is working with Zocdoc to change the status since they are no longer in network. The manager was able to provide me a good price for out of network for this one session and I had a physical therapy session with two of their therapist and I felt well taken care of. I spoke with the owner apologize for the mishap and I completely understand. if it was in network, I will continue coming here. I also came here for a medical massage which was scheduled for 30 minutes and it was about 20 minutes or so. It was very efficient and time flew and I will consider coming back here for this service. It's close to the part about a few minute walk and they are open late on Wednesdays.

I had no acupuncture experience at all until November 2023 when I began experiencing physical anxiety symptoms that I never had before (it felt like my heart was being tickled, I felt faint, and almost nauseous for days at a time, it was hard to describe to others aside from just being able to feel my heart in a way I hadn't before and it was uncomfortable). I had a complete cardio workup and everything looked good so I decided to give acupuncture a try. Rez made me feel comfortable during our consultation before selling me on a treatment of 10 sessions. It really doesn't make sense to begin this treatment (though a one-off might be relaxing) unless you can commit to a full treatment. I worked with her from November to June, eventually tapering off to every two weeks. I have been doing other things as well (new therapist, group therapy) but I believe the wellness I feel now is definitely in part due to sitting with Rez and all of the lovely folks who work there. Definitely a culturally competent group in terms of sexual orientation, race, and gender identity. They remember me and you can tell they treat everyone there well and with respect; it's a nice community . Superbills and documentation provided quickly and I liked having reminder texts about my appointments. I haven't had an anxiety episode like that in months and I just feel like I can handle things better and am way less overwhelmed. For overprocessors like me (see the length of this message for proof) you should try working with these folks to take a different route to healing and learning. I love Brooklyn Acupuncture and see myself going back at various times for tuneups- not to mention when I start to experience physical symptoms likes back aches and pains. Feeling gratitude for Rez and the team at BAM!
