He didn't wear a mask the entire time. He yelled at my elderly mother for missing an appointment. Note that my mother has early dementia. She did not remember her appointment and Dr. Lee's office also did not call us to confirm the appointment. I asked for her prescription refill for her dementia since he had already seen her six months prior. He refused and continued on his tirade screaming about how his office will have to conduct tests again and complete paperwork for her insurance and how "complicated" it is. Isn't that what medical offices are required to do?? He also told me to put my mother in a nursing home just because her memory has deteriorated a bit. He also yells, screaming for his staff through the closed door until someone comes running. The front desk staff also yells at patients. I was shocked to hear the front desk woman yelling at an elderly patient that the elderly patient is making her work complicated. She continued to scream at the patient to decide on the date of her next appointment. It was all surreal! I couldn't believe this was the treatment my mother had been receiving in her past visits. I was in shock the entire time and asked for my mother's prescription so we could finally leave. The doctor insisted we go to the pharmacy they recommend, which is inconvenient for us. I politely asked for the prescription repeatedly so we could go to our preferred pharmacy till finally the doctor said it was a nuisance and time consuming for them to hand write the script. They wanted us to just go with their pharmacy since it's easier for them since that pharmacy had the prescriptions! They just didn't want to make the effort and everything is about what is convenient to them only! I have never experienced such an unprofessional and rude practice, ever!

They always have a huge turnover quite frequently and with no consistency, management of files and prescriptions is subpar. It has happened way too many times where our pharmacy will call/fax a refill request and the people at the doctors office ignores them or puts them aside without getting it to the doctor. The receptionist is highly unprofessional. She told us on the phone, instead of coming in, to get an over the counter medicine for my dad instead. When my mom asked for a call back for an urgent matter, and she received no response for an hour, she called again. The receptionist told my mom she didn't tell him and we should get a response in 3 hours maybe. The staff there is the worst and very rude.

My experience with him is limited but he's probably up there in the top 10%. Look up his background. It's impressive. He's currently an assistant professor at Hackensack, which is the best hospital in NJ. This means a lot. I received 2 epidural injections from him because of chronic neck pain, jaw pain, and headaches. A neuralgia that's been plaguing me for years. I've seen numerous doctors over this, and he's probably had the best insight out of all of them. At the surgical center, the other doctor and staff made glowing statements about him. They stated he was the best doctor there. Medical office. With nurses, I think it depends on who end up with. It's really a hit or miss. This office has generally a good temperament though. Not the best, not the worst. One was pushy. Go to him if you have any pain management issues. He's really good. Mention that you've read this Yelp review and others. I think doctors like to hear their reputation is spreading, and it makes them even more helpful.
