We dance across multiple groups--I used to train in the same class with one of my daughters, my oldest daughter is currently in another group, and my younger one attends every Sunday. We buy a lot of classes here. We were actually planning to buy even more, despite the fact that their system is completely inflexible: there are no memberships, no discounts, and the classes are quite expensive. We stayed because we truly love the instructors and the overall dance level.However, the way they treat parents is absolutely unacceptable. I am beyond frustrated by the fact that I am not allowed to use the restroom while waiting for my child. They have a restroom accessible from the courtyard. I can understand that they don't provide parking spaces for waiting parents, but not letting a parent use the restroom during a 1.5 to 2-hour wait is beyond comprehension.This is the second time I have been practically kicked out of the restroom, treated with such a look as if I were a homeless person off the street. As a paying customer, I find this incredibly rude, humiliating, and disrespectful. This is an absolute failure in customer service.I work as a professional film actress and model, so I have extensive experience visiting high-end studios and various locations worldwide. In most reputable places, parents are welcomed inside; they are provided with a waiting area, Wi-Fi, water, or at least a place to sit. At Playground LA, you aren't even allowed basic human dignity like using the bathroom. For a studio of this caliber, this level of service is wild and completely unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed.

Debut usually offers Kpop class series at different levels which can range from 2 weeks to a month. They also offer one day pop-up classes occasionally. You would need to reserve your spot at one of the classes online via their website. They also post what classes their teaching on Instagram and I like how they sometimes ask their students what Kpop songs they want to learn on there. Yireh, the owner and one of the instructors is great. I love taking her classes as she's super detailed and funny which makes the class enjoyable. The classes are shorter and pricier compared to other nearby dance studios, but what keeps me coming is the overall culture and vibe of this studio. Everyone is super nice and it's super friendly to all levels. The studio itself is nice and spacious. It is clean and well-maintained. There's also a parking lot downstairs with free and ample parking. There's even charging stations for electric cars.

I took the 6 week beginner shuffle program and it was a game changer if you want to learn how to shuffle. The beginner shuffle is every Monday 8pm-10pm. Highly suggest not missing any class because each class is packed with new moves. You learn all different kinds of moves and choreo. We had Brea and Mary Grace was our instructors and they are super awesome! They're super upbeat and always bring so much energy for a 2 hour class!! 2 hour class goes by super fast! I like that if you're struggling with how to move or any questions you have, they would break down the moves so it's comprehensible and answer any questions. Make sure you bring: good shoes, water and towel (if you sweat a lot) You can even record yourself, make sure the people behind you are ok with it. Restrooms in the building. Plenty of free street parking. Entrance: ring the bell for Gravity Dance because there are other companies sharing the building. The building is also super cool and the decor is so warehouse-like.

The staff couldn't have been better at guiding him through his first audition. We were ready to let him quit and walking out the door when a parent came out and convnced us to stay. Once staff saw what was happending they all were amazing at calming and doing what they could to make him comfortable. Her dance academy is no exception. I called to request a tour and the most gracious lady, Ms Jackie, answered. Although there weren't any tours she recommended me I stop by. I was overjoyed. Although Ms Debbie wasn't on the premises, you could really feel the love and creativity afloat. It's a large well decorated academy with gorgeous art throughout. There were classes in session, so I stayed in the main entry and took photos. Although the cherry on the top would have been catching a glimpse of Ms Debbie, this still was an awesome visit.

It's a little hard to find because it's in the corner of a strip mall on Vermont and the windows are tinted so you can't see inside. I always find parking on the street on Sunday and it's free. Otherwise they have plenty of parking for the strip mall businesses. When you enter, there is a reception desk in the left and also some lockers to put your stuff in it. On the right there is coffee, tea and large water that you can use. Before you even think about stepping to the dance floor with your street shoes, there is a sign right in the floor to remind you to only wear dance shoes on the floor. The floor is always so clean and the entire facility as well. Large one bathroom in the back for everybody and gender. The monthly calendar is mostly all in Korean so I'm not sure if they teach in English. I'm the only non Korean in my Sunday class but the teachers also so the class is taught in English :) I'm glad I stumble in this place through the help of my teachers.
