He has autism, and haircuts can often be a very difficult and overwhelming experience for him. But Antoin was so patient, kind, and understanding from the moment we walked in. I was new to the Carolinas and decided to give No Grease a chance to earn my business. The first two times that I went there the haircut provided was not what I asked for however I decided to give them another chance. We were finally able to get on the same page about what I was looking for. On the 4th scheduled appointment Johntaes had us wait for an hour of which although I was not happy with that I gave him the benefit of the doubt. On our 5th haircut appointment we were 20 minutes late and told that we would have to reschedule and lose the money that was prepaid. When I discussed this with him I was told that it was ok for him to be behind in time as there were multiple factors that could cause him to be late that were out of his control, however if we were late then that was our fault and we just lose our money. I find the policy to be highly unacceptable and very one sided. I will have to take my business another place where there is acceptable understanding on both sides read more

Receptionist has a grain of rice for a brain. Told my husband he would be next in line made him wait outside and took walk ins before him. He asked her why she didn't take him next when she already told him he would be next and she just kept promising they would get to him. He waited an hour before getting really frustrated with her dumb self and told her to just cross his name out. He will not be giving them his business anymore. The receptionist at this place SUCKS and should be fired! My husband likes to get his haircut by Aaron, about 2 months ago we went as walkins and requested Aaron, receptionist said she would add him to his "list" and call him when he was next. Well, 2 hours later we are still walking in the mall and decided to go and see how many people were still ahead of my husband. Turns out she forgot to call my husband, his name was at the top of the list and other names below his were already crossed out! We figured, ok shit happens and let it go. We came again today and my husband was added to Aaron's wait list. He started taking walk-ins at 3pm, we got there at 145 (to make sure we were the first to be called) so again, my husband got added to the list and it is currently 3:45pm and still no call. We left and will no longer be coming back due to the stupid receptionist that doesn't even know how to use a list. Update: they ended up calling us at 4:50pm, lol we were long gone by then. I will never in my life bring my son or fiancé to this place again. We arrived with high expectations and left extremely confused and not satisfied. I wish I had the name of the barber with the Mohawk, but he wasn't pleasant at all. They didn't use alcohol on either of their hair and left numerous cuts. Overpriced and Awful experience - odds are I just got paired with a terrible/new barber but couldn't follow my instructions and completely shaved off the sides of my hair (hair id been growing for 2+ years) I was clearly disgruntled the receptionist was clearly aware of this but was eager to close for the day so she proceeds to ask for my payment mid haircut. I am new in town and I must say the scariest thought of moving was finding a new barber. I don't have to worry anymore though. Today I took the No Grease plunge. I am so glad I did! I was greeted by a lovely receptionist and within seconds I was in Kurt's chair. He was friendly, fast, and did EXACTLY what I asked. I am a woman who wears my hair super short. Any time I go to someone other than much regular barber in VA/DC I am met with "well are you sure?" OR they simply won't cut it how I like. Kurt was very professional and needed very little direction which made me confident in him. I will be returning for sure. Side bar. This place is SUPER clean. The gentleman and women working there are dressed well and everyone is very polite. This is a huge plus for me! I also appreciate that they actually clean the hair up after each client. No Grease is definitely a great barbershop to spend your money at for a quality cut. There are some barbers that are incredibly precise with tapers and skin care, but all of them for the most part can cut pretty well. Ive been to at least a dozen various barbershops around Charlotte and continue to come here because of the professionalism, degree of skill, and the convenience of being open 7 days per week. read more

All I can say is WOW, "Tone" hooked me up! I'm 42 yrs. old and I've never had an experience at any Barbershop the way I did yesterday 08/27 at No Grease Barbershop in Concord Mall. This was my very first visit to the shop, but I promise you it won't be my last. "Tone" cut my hair, and paid attention to every detail of my haircut. The HOT TOWEL experience was amazing, and the Haircut was Immaculate! My overall opinion on the shop was Outstanding! Tone customer service was great, and his professionalism is what stood out the most! The Barbers acknowledged me soon as i entered the shop, and offered assistance right away. The shop was very clean, NO CURSING AT ALL COULD BE HEARD, and just an awesome experience overall. Lastly, I paid $27 for the haircut, and it was worth that and more! I had a really good experience here. I went for the first time last week. I was able to walk in. The receptionist gave me a friendly greeting and was extremely professional. The barber that I had was Kurt who gave me an amazing cut. His customer service was stellar. He listened to what I wanted and did a great. He also offered me something to drink which I appreciated.. Worse haircut of my 38 year old life. I asked for a bald fade with the hair on top dark and long enough to comb. He cut my hair like I was in boot camp again. My hair line was pushed backed 1 in across my forehead and 1 3/4 on both sides( I measured). To top it off he cut me in both sides of head. So the next day had scabs around the front of head . I have been natural for years and have tried a plethora of barber shops. None quite like this one! Most of the time I have an idea of what I want and provide different views. My hair never turns out the way I want it to. Not this time! :-) Von is a top notch barber.....a true master of her craft. I absolutely love my cut! The end result was the icing on the cake because the shop is amazing. The staff is professional, the waiting area/ barber chairs are comfortable and the shop is clean. I must have seen the broom 5 times during my cut.....so clean is really an understatement. Every customer was offered a beverage on arrival. I must say I was very impressed. My 14 year old grandson was looking for a barber to give him a haircut for JROTC and "no grease" was highly recommended. His first two haircuts were $15 each because he was under 15. The next time he went it was $20. I asked why the price increase and was told we should have never been charged $15. I told him he was under 15 and was told there was no discount for 15 and under. The 4th time we went it was $30, how can the price double? Same haircut, same person 14. Again we were told that is the price and we shouldn't have gotten it for less. He has to have his hair cut done every 4 weeks because of JROTC. He loves the cut when he's done and now we have to find another place. Can you explain to me the pricing? We went to Carolina Place Mall. I sent an email to an account that was listed on their website with no response.
