I really enjoyed breakfast. Had the Sunrise juice, coffee, and Macai bowl. The combination was fantastic. Really fresh fruit. Peanut butter complemented the Açaí well (who knew I would like lumps of peanut butter?). But it all worked together. Also, eggs Benedict that the table next to me ordered looked amazing. Visiting Gold Coast for a bit and this coffee shop is right outside our hotel - SO glad I found it on the first day! I had an iced latte and banana bread and both were delicious. You can get regular, coconut, almond, or lactose free milk in the lattes and coffee! And the banana bread had like a crispy crust on the outside, I think from the espresso butter!! Soo good!! Service was fast and friendly. Advised as to which coffee was served the way I liked. Breakfast was delicious, healthy and good value. Clean environment. Plenty of seating in or out. Just go get coffee here. Don't think Just go. What are you waiting for? It's one those things, this is a tourist spot. Expecting great coffee is a plus but not always s guarantee. I found this place on a Sunday morning, it was quiet but it was 7.39am so that's not really a surprise. Great staff, great engaging conversation and helpful with tips on places to go. Monday was a bit different... 7.29 and it was packed, and it was locals. Lots of them. All the tables filled and people spilling over to closed restaurants across the lane way. There were at lest 4 other cafes open at this time that I saw, and even if I lost 3 fingers in a horrible shoe tying incident, I would still have been able to count their total customers in my one hand.. They also sell Black Sheep beans at a very reasonable price and ground them (oh, how I hate to have pre-ground coffee, but what can you do on vacation?) perfectly for our aeropress. Very good coffee. They have ridiculously sized coffees here - we stuck to normal sized medium. It's the first time I've paid $6 for a coffee. After spending and expecting coffee prices to rise in Sydney ($4.50 for a medium max) for so long, to be charged the highest price in the Gold Coast was a shock. Good little coffee spot in the heart of Broadbeach. They do simple food here like toasties and pastries... so don't expect a full breakfast menu but what's here is great for a quick bite before heading to the beach. The csabai sausage with smashed egg sandwich came on multigrain bread and was delicious. We had a doppio and cappuccino, both pretty good which I'd say was a 7/10. read more

Came back here again and there were not enough chairs so we used the pub across the lane way (expecting to be kicked off at any given moment). The tables in the cafe are the size of the seats so it's really awkward placing your legs Around the table and also if you were to eat a meal off that as it's so low! I can't understand why they have that as furniture of choice! The staff were friendly but gave a look of disbelief when I told the girl that my poached eggs were hard boiled. So for the egg, waiting for another to be recooked while every one else ate and my toast went cold, it looses a star! I would be back though. read more

I guess this review is going to conflict pretty seriously with others but I really can't give them more than one star for the experience we had. As a Yelper, I'd seen the great reviews for No Name Lane and dragged a couple of my travel buddies along with me for coffee and breakfast. When we got there, we were told that they were out of the eggs required for one of their sandwiches - I thought, that's fine I'll order something else. I then went to order salmon and poached eggs, and as it came out of my mouth the barista yelled at the waitress that they were also out of poached eggs. The waitress then barked back at the barista that she knew what she was doing and could he shut up and let her do her job. I was taken aback, and then told that they weren't out of poached eggs but it would take 20 minutes for the water to heat up to boil them. At that point we left. Disappointing! read more

The food is pretty good, but the servers seem kinda clueless about what's going on. The juicer was broken 2 days in a row, they ran out of gluten free toast, and just weren't functioning very well. Yesterday we had to get our own menus after 15 minutes sitting down waiting for them after asking for them. We had to ask 3 times for water and it took around 15 minutes to get it. Must have gone on a bad day. Poor service. I asked them twice if they could wipe down the table and clear the previous tables dirty plates. I ordered and the food took just under 30 minutes to come but not together so our group ended up eating separately.
