this little hole in the wall bar is incredibly well stocked! grta atmosphere and very knowledgeable bartenders. my brother and I went to garbage couple drinks after a long day sightseeing with our families. we wanted some thing with egg whites to add that rich creaminess to the drink. the bartender definitely hooked us up! well balanced cocktail that was delicious. the vibe matches the name. no stress, just chill. we sat outside and met an Aussie guy that had been traveling the last two months. great place to just chat with fellow travelers. if you're in the area, I highly recommend it! read more

Such a great bar in Bergen! We came here around 7pm after a bit so great day & honestly this place turned it around. I am extremely indecisive with cocktails & the bartender offered to make me something based on what I like. The drink he made was an outstanding blackberry gin cocktail. It was excellent & he was incredibly kind. He gave us recommendations for Bergen & went out of his way to help us feel welcome. The atmosphere is great as well! One of my favorite drink spots in Bergen. Excellent drink menu. Personally I have problems choosing just one favorite drink from their signature menu. Wow! What a gem!!! Another bartender suggested that I check out this place since I am a cocktail lover and I started by ordered their #1 seller - Chili martini and it was so delicious. It went down so easy that I had to get another one before departing for my flight! Odd made me something with Mezcal in it (Mezcalator) and it was very well done. The place is very cute and cozy and the bartender on duty - Odd was very friendly and gave me few bar suggestions in Stockholm (my next stop). It is too bad that I only had 45 mins to enjoy this bar..make sure you budget some time to truly taste their specialities as the cocktail menu is extensive and very interesting. For a library of mixed drinks that lean toward the sweet side, this place is an explosion of drink recipes here. They have fresh additions of ginger, fruits and herbs to embellish or flavor your drinks. A berry daquiri type drink in a martini glass was popular. Not much bottled beer, but the 15 bottle/can choices were special. If you have a special idea, request or flavor, tell the lady bartender. The place is called No Stress since it used to be a clothing store in a previous life named Stress. Well apparently selling alcohol is a better business in Norway than another edgy clothing store that only look good on models. Location - awesome; outer edifice - awesome; indoors - quirky and weird, but awesome; service - a little slow because they only had one bartender, but so friendly and awesome; menu typeface - so fun and colorful; drinks - pretty awesome. Highly recommend!!!! Loved it! The bartenders were friendly and very skilled at what they do! Just sitting at the bar watching then work was a treat. I asked the bartender for their most popular drink and the bartender made me a chili martini. AMAZING! I can't even describe it. Spicy, sweet, but not too sweet. So good! For my second drink I asked the bartender to make his favorite drink. I wish I remembered what it was called because it was also amazing. It had muddled blueberries and whiskey, that's all I know. The bar was full of hip young people. A pretty international crowd too. There is a hostel just around the corner. I also met a lot of locals who come there after work. Highly recommend!!!! read more

When ordering drinks, many places give you a poorly mixed, foul-tasting excuse for a cocktail in a half-dirty, age-old IKEA glass. You take a sip, throw up a bit in your mouth and try to keep a straight face as you shed a salty tear for both taste buds and your wallet. No Stress is not one of those places. It's actually the exact opposite. Drinks taste great. Oh, and they look great too. But then again, so does the place (and bartenders) too! To top it off, the vibe is more chill than my freezer. The Chili Martini is especially great, but you can't go wrong with any of the gin tonics, bloody marys, singapore sling... actually never mind, go wild on their menu. This place definitely feels stress free, yet still has a classy feel..maybe even a little hipster vibe (what does that even mean nowadays!?) :D it was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Bergen, so it's legit. They have some really cool signature cocktails, I got the chili martini (super spicy, and I'm from New Mexico, so that says something!). There is an actual Thai red chili floating in the glass. I dared my little brother to eat it, he loves spicy food anyway, but he was definitely in pain, fire for sure, sweating and downing massive amounts of water! Just drink the martini, it's spicy enough on its own, no need to eat the chili garnish. :) The atmosphere is comfy, laid back, tables but also couch spaces to chill. We didn't ask to play the board games, but they had a great selection. The bartenders definitely seem like pros / mixologists. Hipster, Norwegian mixologists. In General, Norway is super expensive- but this place is worth a stop to hang with locals and grab a creative, unique, alcoholic beverage. read more

No Stress is so much fun. The ambiance is that of a casual lounge, relaxed but not sloppy. The entertaining naming of the drinks served here hides the creativity and excellence behind them. I had a Gin and Toni Braxton, essentially a delicious orange-flavored gin and tonic. Also tasted their lemon pie-tini (basically a cake in a glass). Then, I asked the bartender for their take on the grasshopper, and she steered me away from it. Openly, she said that the drink is a recent addition to the menu, and quite bad, and she said she could make me something off the top of her head instead. I loved this. It takes confidence and integrity to admit that a drink on the menu is no good, and whatever she made me (essentially a key lime pie in a glass) was fantastic. Of course, I can't discuss No Stress without pointing out that they have an N64 and TV there with Mario Kart for general use. It wasn't working for part of our stay, but the manager managed to get it going, and we really enjoyed playing MK64 while enjoying delicious drinks. The few negatives: the drinks are rather weak, there's a dearth of non-sweet drink options, and the one custom-drink I had was tiny (like 4 gulps and then all ice). However, that said, I had a great time at No Stress, and recommend it to anyone in Bergen. In a world full of bars, No Stress manages to be unique, which is a great achievement in and of itself. If you're a tourist and looking for a fun quiet bar in Bergen don't bother with this place. The name is beyond deceiving and the experience was anything but "no stress". The music was US mid 90s hip hop (which was fun for us) but the people were unaccommodating, the bartenders seemed rushed and unwelcoming and it just seemed like an expensive college bar with gimmicky drinks. It's probably a fun bar for the college aged who would like the order drinks such as the "Willy Nelson" but it wasn't our scene at the time visiting Norway. The place was fairly small and very busy on a Saturday, the prices were fair for what was given, it just wasn't what we expected. If you're looking for a no stress experience after traveling don't come here. read more
