He said everything takes tokens or you could purchase a wristband for the rides to ride multiple times. We headed upstairs where the kids maze was and were told that our youngest wouldn't be able to do the maze because he had a cast on his arm. We did end up spending a few hours playing arcade games but many games were broken or had run out of tickets. We actually had to go get an attendant twice because machines didn't have tickets to give us when we had done well and were earned. When we were finished with our tokens we went down to the prize counter to exchange our tickets. The nice young man who we had first talked to started helping us. While he was in the middle of helping us, another worker come up to him, told him the manager said he needed to bring two boxes of tickets upstairs and that he is not allowed to have an ear bud in while working. Then they both walked away to the storage room without another word to us. There was a third worker who was leaning up against the counter eating a laffy taffy l, once she realized that we were still standing there she apologized and come to help us, then the guy who came down to give the orders from the manager came back and said "oh, I was going to help them". I pointed out that it would have been good to acknowledge that intent instead of not saying anything to us and walking away. Over all, I mean it's an arcade and what was usable was good. It's definitely an okay way to waste the day and some money inside the a/c.

As for value, well, don't expect to be able to get much for the tickets you collect. On $20 we collected about 800 tickets...and the options were dollar store junk. No issue with staff, although the lady at the ticket counter seemed bothered by having to help us. Strange since that's the point of this arcade...get tickets, buy some junk and move along. Again, no issues with her, but not a very welcoming process. We had fun and it served its purposes. Would go again, just know what you are getting yourself into.

Dogpatch has an arcade next door and it's a really great selection of skee ball, old uprights, pinball, and some modern things. I spent some time here on a recent trip and played pinball and skee ball. It was great. If I have one complaint it's that it was an almost 100 degree day and since the building isn't enclosed it was super-hot in there and I was sweating profusely from the game play! I'll be back. We went right when they opened and there were no crowds! You can either bring socks from another trampoline center or buy them for $3. There's lots of tables outside, an arcade with Jurassic Park, hurricane simulator, and claw machines, clean bathrooms. You can observe for free if you don't plan to jump on the trampolines. My kids loved the various activities like foam pits, rope swings, ninja course with pegs and swings, rock climbing, balance ladders, balls. There's also leather massage chairs(extra cost) to relax and wait on. Prices range from $9-16 depending on your age for the first hour, and you can pay extra for a 2nd hour.

They come in 16 or 32 ounces. This weekend we were offered styrofoam or they usual souvenir bucket. My sister got one and I got the bucket. Not sure why I thought I could drink 32 ounces or Miami Vice but I tried. The hurricane my sister got was delicious. There were quite a few options of frozen drinks, maybe 10. This is a must do, if you love frozen drinks. An odd thing on my way out, was a cage near the door that looked like it could be for a monkey, and there was a mini schnauzer in it. When we walked in it was a bit awkward because it was a little bit older crowd and they all stopped talking to stare at us since it was a small place... The good part about this bar was the friendly bartender, and the variety of frozen drinks. They were very tasty and priced about the same as everywhere else on the lake.

We learned a lot throughout the tour and it was a great experience for the whole family. We especially loved the complete darkness experience and the black light portion of the tour. Not because groups were bumping into each other, just straight up robot mode, probably from also trying to work in the photo package pitch every single time. Ask a follow up question and you'd get a shrug dressed up as an answer. A kid asked about a mineral and got a confident "nope, not that" immediately followed by "I'm not really a gem expert," which, ma'am, pick one. Nobody could tell us where all the clay that used to be in the cave went (there's a lot of water now after the excavation), how the bootleggers pulled off their operation, or whether the cave's ever taken earthquake damage. Also they sell alcohol at the gift shop right before you head into a dark cave, which feels like a liability seminar waiting to happen. What indigenous tribe did the skeleton remains belong to? How did you know it was an indigenous person(s)? What is the difference between an arrowhead and a spear, and when did those relics be given to be on display? She said the stairs were built by child labor because there are child sized handprints in the concrete, but provided no evidence of truth or why. Was it his 18 kids? No one knows. At least it was cool inside while the weather was hot outside. The cave has a story to tell. Macy just wasn't the one telling it. Would recommend the cave, would not recommend Macy.
