Noah's arc is a soft play barn which accommodates children up to the age of 12. There are separate play areas depending on the age of the children I'm not sure of the exact age categories as my wee on is only a year but it seems to be a fair split which each area having activities catering for the age bracket. You are charged for a two hour session starting around 4 pounds then increases as they children get older. I and under are free though so this is a bonus. There is a reasonable coffee shop which offers the usual types of refreshments and some hot food. So as long as your children are old enough to play by themselves you can have a cuppa, read the paper and relax while they play. It used to be my friends favourite Saturday or Sunday morning haunt when she had a hangover as she could recover while the kids had fun. It is very busy at the weekends as you might expect and the noise level can be quite high during these times. I believe they do special party packages for the kids. There is also a ceramic painting place and go-carting on site so maybe older children can be entertained too. Well worth a visit and very good value for the little tots as it's free!!! read more

I seem to be the naysayer amongst the reviews, but perhaps it was because I visited on a busy Saturday afternoon (we were the last to get straight in with no waiting). I found the place very claustrophobic with low ceilings and what might have been a bright decor originally but has descended into dinginess. The low ceilings probably contributed to the rather overwhelming noise levels - I've been in other, busier play barns before without so much noise, simply because high ceilings absorbed at least some of it. The food I found disappointed - my macaroni tasted odd and I couldn't finish it. The drinks were bargain branded but the prices were what you would pay for branded. 10 quid for a plate of macaroni, some extra chips, a nasty diluted drink and a non-branded cola is simply ridiculous. The play areas seemed more cramped than others I have been to and the older bit was quite dark. The 3-5 section was perhaps a bit tame for the almost 5s and whilst the gated entry is a good idea, the teenage staff member posted to it was often not there at all and seemed to have no ability to prevent bigger kids getting in, both of which rather defeated the point of the gate. Not impressed, there's plenty of other places around which are better value, newer, cleaner and better equiped. read more

I take my 3 year old daughter here whenever I get a day off work, its great to take her during term time. During school holidays it can get very busy and she gets a bit clingy with the noise and amount of kids running around but she is growing into it. I used to think that this place was fantastic . it was fantastic when i was little but how things have changed.It is not dead central so if you do not know where it is you might find it hard to find.The staff do not seem that interested in their work.Nothing seems to have been updated in years so what was once nice is now rather rubbish.The food they serve is not that great.There is not that much to do here.There is a little activity area and a slide.Noahs ark has a go kart area but it is also rubbish.The transport links are not that good. read more

The soft play is very good, includes something for all ages. However I came early with the intention to paint ceramics first, only to find out there is only one person in charge and she was off that day. The website doesn't have the hours for ceramics, so I walked in the snow for basically nothing. They have also stopped doing painting and now only have finger painting. Not impressed with this at all, if times can change easily then it should be advertised publicly read more

I visited Noah's Ark on Sunday 22nd March 2009. I went with my 2 nephews and my sister. I wasnt extatic about going to a kids play area on a busy Sunday however i pushed myself to go along! I was pleasantly suprised. When we entered the reception the girl behind the counter was very full of smiles and was very welcoming. Inside there was a lot of noise but what else would you expect going to a childrens PLAY BARN! The food was the same price as it is everywhere these days and with the huge portions i didint mind paying it. A lot of the options where home made. The cakes are all fresh and are to die for! The kids where exhausted after the 2 hours of play but still managed to keep some energy back for the shot on the go-karts, which they thoroughly enjoyed. All staff seemed nice and friendly and will most definatly be going back! read more

Noahs Ark has just gone under some massive face lift. We used to love it, agreed I used to bemoan the fact it was tired and in desperate need of a good clean, but as I sometimes feel -mostly on a Sunday night when the house is in ruin!- mess can be forgiven when both children and parents are tired out AND happy. The play area Is roughly laid out as before, an under 3's and a bigger bit for older boys and girls. theres still a cafe and a climbing wall, zip line and toy cars now too. I was definitely tired, but not happy in the slightest on leaving the new improved Noahs sadly. After waiting a full hour and 20mins for food that left myself and my husband ill for a full two days -thankfully not the children who opted for the HEALTHIEST option on the childrens menu, fish fingers and CHIPS- I was told by a manger that I could not go into the play area to retrieve my youngest whose three and a half and there for too big for the toddler section, when I tried to explain to her he was in distress she dismissed me with a 'look'. Not what you expect from any member of staff as I felt I was being reasonable. My little boy was in tears repeatedly so I went in anyway and to my horror I found the structure actually swayed! the netting was lose and he got his foot stuck. With no staff in sight. The toilets were dirty, the zip line was closed by the time my oldest wanted a go, and people sit on top of each other in the cafe. After we'd spent so long waiting on our food I wanted nothing more than to leave before we'd even eaten it. But -and why I'm being so harsh- to cap it all when I complained on my way out the same woman as before, she actually raised her voice to me - telling ME I didn't understand about the safety of children and that she didn't need my business. I was disgruntled, but I didn't intend make a seen in front of my children, I didn't threaten, swear, or raise MY voice, I hadn't even asked for a refund on my food! If I can behave like an adult was it too much to ask for such treatment in return? In short, try PlayBugz, or if the weather is good, Active kids -which might be abit harder on the walet, but you can stay all day and the staff make you feel welcome. absolutely brilliant for kids aged 7-12 in the main bit. one gripe is when the older children run amok in the toddlers area and the staff don't tell them off. good value and nice baked cakes for the grown ups! Next door they have a go-kart track and small scale 10-pin bowling, along with pool tables and seating. There is also a crazy golf and driving range within the complex. for somewhere with the monopoly on perth their website is not accessible, also no money seems to be getting put back into the play area, been same decor since it opened and same play equipment, badly needing brought up to date, also seem to have a high staff turnover with lots of youngsters who really have a couldn't care less attitude. Noah's Ark is a play barn specially designed for children up to the age of 12 under 1's go free. Sessions last 2 hours although if you are lucky enough to go midweek they often give you a time to leave which is great as there is so much to do. prices are £4.75 for over 5's and £4.25 for under 5's. There is a huge play area for the older children which has a great big slide with two levels which is my daughers favourite. It has a smaller area for younger children with as ball pool soft bricks and rocking animals, the best thing about the smaller area it has a gate so your child cant sneak out of that area. The food is nice but a little expensive but good healthy options. Noahs ark has a pottery barn upstairs and their items are fantanstic we have purchased a frame with my daughers hand prints on it and a cookie jar with all three of our hand prints on and i was very pleased with the service if you don't live locally the send it out to you well packed and very cheaply.
