Incredibly stunning: complete with actual Longhorns (who posed in the background for our photos) and heirloom Texas Prickly Pear. Don't even get me started on the cost of wedding venues in Texas. Rick is reasonable. Read that--beauty on a budget. I'm not sure how long this will last since Rick is new to the wedding venue game. The only "issue" is that Rick loves first. People who love first and love well make decisions for brides that put the bride first. Not the business. I truly can not count all the ways he blessed my particular bride, because they wouldn't fit in a Yelp review, but what I can tell you is that if you have any need, please don't let him give it to you for free. That kind of man. Y'all, we need affordable wedding spaces that take your breath away. But, yes, we also need caring business owners who value the person above the place they represent. Rick represents his family, his business and his clients' needs beyond what is industry standard. Think, far beyond. Case in point: I actually had to remind him to cash my check! He was holding it until we got paid, and then I think he may have even forgotten we hadn't paid yet. Bless his heart! The following are actual quotes from our experience: "Didn't y'all already pay me the deposit?" Rick asked. "Yes, Rick. You held the check but it hasn't cashed. Thank you for working with us," I told him. "Oh. Okay. Let me check with my wife. She handles that." Rick is building and curating this space--one auction house and trade show at a time. I can't wait for you to see the lovely stained glass windows he just installed near the bridal suite. Speaking of which, the bridal suite is fit for a Queen. The Orchard was the first venue we toured for my bride. My bride had already toured multiple venue spaces before when her sister got married a few months prior. Everyone on our side of town agreed: this space was just as beautiful and more in line with homespun Texas/elegance core. Think twinkle lights at night with a dance floor built under the stars. A place for romance that becomes real on a very special night, where two souls knit together as one. I promise this can exist outside of a book. I've seen it with my own eyes. Please go tour here. Especially if you are looking for an expansive outdoor space. If your vibe is more formal, there is a climate controlled indoor dining hall where more sensitive guests can spend the evening. I'm sure, like us, you will tour other places. But, if you're also like us, you will do a complete 180 and high tail it back to the Orchard at Spring Branch. Thank you, Rick. She claims we didn't books soon enough but professionalism and customer service shows that she doesn't have the common courtesy to notify her existing customers that other parties from other weddings will be staying in the chateau's around us. This is insane. Good luck being around strangers on your wedding day if you book or stay here. You get to have strangers in chateaus observing your wedding. Isn't that what we always dream about!

I recently catered an event at this venue and need to share a serious concern for other caterers…read moreand potential clients. The space provided for food preparation was completely unacceptable from a health and safety standpoint. It appeared to be a storage room being used as a prep area, with visible mold on the ceiling, standing water on the floor, and a sink containing leftover food from a previous event. As a professional in food service, I can confidently say no food should be prepped or even pass through a space in this condition. The environment was unsanitary and posed a legitimate health risk. I personally experienced an asthma reaction while in the room, likely due to the mold present. I raised these concerns with the owner and was told this is a "dual-purpose" space and that other caterers have used it without issue. My concerns about mold and sanitation were dismissed. This review is a PSA: any caterer or client considering this venue should carefully evaluate the conditions, particularly the food prep areas. In its current state, this facility does not meet what I would consider minimum health and safety standards for hosting events involving food service. I strongly believe this space should not be used for events until it has been properly cleaned, repaired, and brought up to basic health code standards.

There are a lot of mature oaks that provide plenty of shade and a beautiful background for photos. I had my wedding and reception here, as well as stayed in the on-site lodging with the bridal party, and everything was amazing, from the setting, to the beautiful white mansion for lodging (with a pool/hot tub, large indoor master suite with a jacuzzi), to the food. Everything was arranged through the venue - food, cake, flowers, photographer, DJ, officiant, etc. It was all very well coordinated and top quality.

Debraun (owner) was difficult to get ahold of and her contract was only enforceable when she wanted it to be. We agreed to corrections to the docusign, thus created a new contract. When the old docusign didn't get signed she harassed me in multiple emails saying I needed to do my part to sign the contract. She didn't believe me until I showed her the completed signed contract that she had two separate documents. She requested a certified check written out to Wild West entertainment sent to her Austin address in the contract. We did this, but she wasn't home to accept the check so she couldn't confirm our date. We then had another certified check rewritten to a new name and address as she requested. She held onto it for over a month before cashing the first check that was sent to her home. She then stated that she was unable to cash the second check because the name didn't match. She then took it on vacation with her unable to give it back. Our bank already issued the funds and couldn't cancel the check to put the funds back into our account without the original check. She agreed to give it back when she returned (we patiently waited over a month). That certified check was "stolen" from Debraun. We only found this out when we were doing our 60 day meeting at less than 30 days from our wedding (due to the manager not creating a folder for our wedding). We were told things in our walk through that ended up not being true. We were told we could alter how many panels were open or closed on the tent (with 60 day notice). When we attempted to discuss it at 60 days we were told that altering the tent panels may disrupt the integrity of the tent and it wasn't an option to alter it. Promised that we would have use of a grill that wasn't available. Promised that our vendors could use the groom's suite even though we didn't rent it in our package. The AC went out in it the week prior with no one telling us until our cake lady came out drenched in sweat and flushed telling my husband "I cannot work in there." Then the manager telling us that we didn't rent it so she had No responsibility to tell us. Back to the same meeting when we were being gaslighted and told that the certified check was our fault because we wrote it wrong (not that she failed multiple times to give us the correct information and then lost our money). She told me that I still owed her another check for half of our payment. I sent her the bank documents showing the checks with her signature and the money taken out of my account. It was paid in full plus a second deposit. She harassed us about it before even checking with her bank. Come to find out that her bank put a hold on the funds because of her. How embarrassing for her to do business like this. Good news is that with another fee charged we finally had our funds from the second deposit returned to our account with an affidavit stating we will not cash the check. This venue and the house are beautiful. Had I not been trapped by a quick engagement and could've moved the venue I would have.
