    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Had an absolutely terrible experience with Roto-Rooter…read more I had a blockage in my kitchen sink and was referred to Roto-Rooter by my regular plumber, who was unable to resolve the issue because he did not have a long enough snake. My regular plumber did not charge me anything. When the Roto-Rooter technician arrived, he was instructed to retrieve a key from a lockbox and enter the white door on the left, which led to the area where the blocked sink was located. Instead, he entered a different door and inspected a sink that was working perfectly fine. After the confusion about the wrong location was resolved, the technician quoted me approximately $820 to use a camera and clear the blockage. About an hour later, he informed me that he was unable to use the camera and was also unable to clear the blockage. He then said he would reduce the bill by $200 because the camera inspection could not be performed. When I asked what the remaining charge was for, he told me I needed to pay because he had carried his equipment to the house. I explained that I needed a few minutes to discuss the situation with someone and would call him back. At that point, he became upset, accused me of questioning his integrity and qualifications, and demanded immediate payment. He also stated that if I did not pay immediately, he would note that I had refused payment. I repeatedly explained that I was not refusing to pay, but I questioned a charge of over $600 when the blockage had not been cleared and the cause had not been identified. He then reduced the bill again to approximately $400, which still seemed unreasonable considering nothing had been fixed. I told him I was willing to pay a reasonable service fee for the visit, but not hundreds of dollars for an unresolved issue. The technician then told me the entire line needed to be replaced at a cost of approximately $6,800. When I again asked for time to consult with someone, he abruptly ended the conversation, hung up on me, and left. Another issue was that I specifically instructed him not to bother the tenants and to direct all questions and concerns to me. He ignored that request and discussed the situation with my tenant. Later, my tenant informed me that the technician had forgotten to leave the keys behind. When I called him about it, he was once again unprofessional, told me he was done dealing with me, and said his manager would contact me the next morning. Unfortunately, the conversation with the manager was no better. He stated that whether I paid the $400 bill was "between me and my conscience." He also claimed that the technician had sent me a service agreement before starting work and that I had signed it. I never received, saw, or signed any such document. I felt pressured and bullied into paying for work that was never completed. Carrying equipment to the house and unsuccessfully attempting to clear a blockage does not justify a charge of hundreds of dollars. The company claims it offers free estimates and only charges for work performed. If the issue was not diagnosed or fixed, what exactly was I being charged for? I requested a detailed invoice showing the work performed, along with supporting photos or videos. Instead, I received only an invoice for the $400+ charge and an estimate for roughly $6,800 to replace the line. One final detail: the manager informed me that their plumbers work on commission. Based on my experience, that explains a lot. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional behavior, no resolution to the problem, and questionable billing practices. I would not recommend this company.

I recently purchased an electric vehicle (EV) and was looking to get a home charger installed. Duke…read moreEnergy has an EV charger prep program to get reimbursed for preparing your home or garage with said charger. They will reimburse up to $1,133. After extensively asking Duke all the questions to get this reimbursement, I asked for a list of contractors they have worked with. They gave me a list of 5+ electric companies. Go Green was the 3rd one I called and the only one that answered. Right away, they showed me elevated service. I explained the situation to them and they offered a free consultation to come check out my garage and give me an estimate for the EV charger installation. The very next week, Richie, the technician, came out and met with my husband to check out the space. The first estimate was a little more than what we wanted to spend (with one expensive part being the cost of the surge protector). My husband asked if we could provide the surge protector would Go Green supply the labor for installation. Richie said they could do that and also that he will come up with 5 different customizations of estimates based on different services and promotions. Richie left and within a few hours, the estimates were in my email inbox. I ended up choosing one of the mid-level ones and signed the invoice ocking in the price. Go Green had to order some parts so installation happened a little over 2 weeks later. Richie was the technician for installation too. It took him and his partner a little over 2 hours to install the charger. The city also needed to approve the charger so Richie said Go Green would handle the communication with them so they could come out. I did put in a request with him for a certain day and the city was able to accommodate. Once I received all my documents (the proof of EV registration, my paid invoice, and the approved permit), I applied for Duke's EV charger prep program. I was rejected about a week-ish later for not having an itemized invoice up to their standards. I immediately called Go Green and told them what happened and within the hour, they emailed me a new invoice which I re-submitted to Duke. Two weeks later, Duke emailed me approval for the program and two weeks after that, I received my check in the mail. This is a long review, but I wanted to explain the full process of working with Go Green to get approved for the EV charger prep program. I cannot recommend them enough. They are efficient and professional. I am extremely happy with their work!

The technician I had months ago did an exceptional job. Phenomenal even…read more However, today the customer service team needs an overhaul. Their communication with customers is subpar, at best. I scheduled an appointment around 9am. By 4pm I had to call and ask where the technicians were because not one "customer service" or "dispatcher" called to provide an update until after I called them. All they can do is say they understand, and couldn't even guarantee they could have me a technician the next day. As a customer I would like to think their service would be better. Not to mention HVAC is not cheap, so this is certainly not a "get what you pay for" quality review. At least offer compensation for your failure to deliver.
