We needed some major work on our walls in our primary bathroom. We had a previous painter who had done the work but the job was done very poorly. Noel came in and quickly identified all the issues. Bad texturing, horrible paint lines, not enough paint in areas and areas missed. The list goes on and on. Noel was very friendly and fast. I received my quote the same day he came for an estimate. His price was very reasonable so I decided to have my master bedroom, master bathroom, and guest bathroom painted. He was able to paint all of those rooms within three to four hours. After he left, I noticed that there were paint splattered on the tile floor in the bathrooms. I also noticed a missed spot by the window in the bathroom. Noel is a true professional that does meticulous work. I recently purchased a house and have had Noel work on over a dozen items ranging from changing out doorstops to replacing light fixtures and re-doing tile grout. He also mounted a couple of large televisions for me, which included installing an electrical outlet behind each TV and running all the HDMI cables through the wall, so you see nothing coming from the TV. Everything he worked on came out fantastic. I did get some lower quotes when I was shopping around, but Noel's prices weren't unreasonable (especially for the quality of the work). Like anything else, you get what you pay for. Noel's motto is "Done Right the First Time" and he's shown me that repeatedly. You can tell he really cares about doing a good job. That, to me, has tremendous value. I don't even bother getting quotes from other people anymore. If Noel can do it, he's my guy. After a neighbor recommended Noel, I had him do a job at my home. So pleased with his and Bill's work. Bill replaced some damaged T1-11 siding. Preparation then included pressure washing stucco/stone siding, masking, calking (even windows that were never done when installed 30 years ago), primer, selecting color/paint (SW Duration). The painting was meticulous (using sprayer and rolling), stones were coated with a sealer (option). Noel's attention to detail was like other reviewers have mentioned. I highly recommend him for handyman/painting jobs - to be done right (he does the painting and doesn't farm that out to contractors). He repaired the existing wired shelves & brackets in a walk-in closet at a nominal cost & quickly. Previous home owner did not install properly to support weight of clothes. My Project (2 days) * Dry Wall Repair in a dozen different places including orange peel repair * Painting of the nook, family room, foyer and office * Painting the trim on those same rooms * Mounting of a flat screen TV * Removing existing surround sound system screwed into ceiling and repairing the wall * Tagging out outside Zone 2 speakers * Rewiring the cables from the right wall of the family room to the center wall were the TV was getting mounted * Adding an electrical outlet and brush plate behind the mounted TV * Hanging 3 paintings Price: $1,865 (was expecting $3K range) There is a lot to like about Noel. First he was flexible on when he could do the job. Second, I believe he genuinely cares about doing excellent work and customer satisfaction. He is very observant and makes recommendations when asked his opinion. Noel is the easiest service professional I've talked to and I really feel like he is a good person. In terms of the work, I noticed some subtle habits that impressed me. His equipment was GC grade. He and his son worked efficiently and were organized. I found Noel through Yelp and boy are we glad we did! We asked him to come by and look into a few jobs around our new home, particularly some detailed painting jobs we were hoping to have done. We had some pretty specific requests for him to accomplish, like painting colorful stripes, wall panels, etc. He did it all! Not only is his work impeccable but he is speedy fast and will work into the late hours of the night to make sure it's done and done right (as his motto says!). His work is so good that it makes the other walls around our house look bad! We might need him to come back and paint them all! He is extremely pleasant to work with, as well. I was not the most decisive person when it came to paint color and asked him to redo our dining room a completely different color after he already painted it, and without any problem, he got it done in one day. He also had a very nice young lady working with him. She was very sweet. I trusted them both in my home when we weren't even there. Noel went above and beyond his job. Our touch-up paint left for us by the previous owners was not matching the walls and Noel went out of his way to find the exact match for us at the original paint store. He could have just told us it didn't match and ask us to paint all the walls but he saved us a ton of money by finding the right color. We had dealt with Chris on a contract to fix some water damage in our house. We gave him a deposit and signed a contract. We both had a difficult time setting up a time to do the repair, I think he had surgery, and I had work. I honestly can't remember. Anyway's, about a month after signing the contract my son flooded the upstairs bathroom which caused significant damage - enough so that we had to get insurance involved. We decided that even though we had initially decided to go with Chris, the "updated" state of our house required a general contractor. I tried to contact Chris on multiple occassions to work out a resolution. Initially, we were hoping to get our deposit back. Then we decided we could have Chris do some other work around the house instead. And Chris would have know all of this had he ever returned my calls. So while Chris probaly does great work, he's not very trustworthy in my eyes. read more
