On my 30th birthday, I wanted to treat myself to a nice massage without breaking the bank. First mistake. I should have chosen a more legit spot. When I went in, the place was dingy, low lit, had zero music, and just felt uncomfortable. No one was up front. I had to ring a bell. As they took me back, I legit felt like I was going to be attacked or something. The lady led me into a room, again, with bad lighting, a dry smell, and no music. On the back wall was a sign that said, "No happy endings," which gave me comfort. But also I never knew those were legit. She asked me to undress and said I could take off my boxers, which I refused to do. She did not leave the room nor provide a blanket, so I already felt uncomfortable. But I got onto the table and she started to give me a massage. She did not check in with me regarding comfort, pressure, or anything. She just started working.
