I have been getting massages in Sabai Thai Massage for several years and usually they've been good. Unfortunately today it was not good. The Masseuse had OC Sneakers on while standing on my back. Who knows what she stepped on in the street and then onto my back. Also first time 1 Hour Massage was 50 minutes and the Masseuse walked out interrupting the massage 2 or 3 times. I got a Swedish massage with hot stones. I forgot her name but the masseuse was incredible. She knew what spots to hit. How deep to go and the right rhythm. The hot stones were great. Although she did one stone at a time for the most part and I am used to two stones at a time. She did do 2 stones for a bit and felt wonderful. My only complaint is that at couple of times it got a little cold. The flooring is tile too so having to step in the cold floor before and after the massage is not ideal. I'd recommend to either bring sandals with you or be prepared for the cold floor. I was also on the right side rooms and I could hear people talking. I used to get massages regularly to either relax and relieve stress or loosen up my tight muscles from workouts at the gym, till the big P hit, then I stopped. Things just got so busy and I have stupidly neglected taking better care of my body, till now.....especially as I have been feeling so stressed out, tense, exhausted, and tight in the muscles and joints. This is was it....I had to get back into my Thai massage routine, and fast! I normally go to another place for my Thai massages, but they use floor mattresses instead of massage beds. In my case, I needed a place that used massage beds as I had nose surgery a few months ago and didn't want my face laying down so close to the top of the mattress, risking injury to my nose. And, after searching around a bit, I am so thrilled to have discovered this place. I made my appointment over the phone, which was easy enough, and received a reminder call a couple of hours prior, which I appreciated very much....very easy. Once I arrived...a bit early, but no problem.... I was politely greeted by the nice young lady at the front desk, and was led to the room right away. Shortly after having prepared myself, I laid down on the table, and my masseuse (Lena) walked in and welcomed me with that very personable, warm, and polite greeting that Thai people are known for. As for the massage itself, I chose the Thai Combination massage....with back stepping (which I wasasked whether I'd like before starting), and I am so glad I did it all. There was a lot of hard rubbing, pushing, pulling, twisting...all the good kind of hurt....that I so so so needed for my tired and overworked muscles....what a wonderful relief by the end of it all. Also, the room was clean, tidy, and with soft relaxation music playing above just gave the perfect ambiance for a very enjoyable, tension-releasing massage experience. Lena was so skilled, very strong, and made each massage action flow so well from one body part to the next. Needless to say that I have finally found my next regular Thai massage spot....YAY!, and I will defintely be back here regularly from now on. As for the price? Sabai Thai Massage - Tustin has been my go-to massage spot for both relaxation and pain relief. I have been here multiple times and I have made my appointments by either phone call or text. They are really flexible. My favorite is the Combination Massage where it's a blend of a Thai Massage and Swedish. I enjoy the stepping and twisting of the Thai massage and the massage oils from a Swedish massage. I have gotten their 90 minute for $100 and their 60 minute for $70. Bring cash or Zelle if you want to avoid their 3.9% credit card fee. I don't like businesses that charge you credit card fees, but I appreciate that they warned me ahead of time so I could prepare accordingly. The massage rooms are clean with a nice large surface, wider than regular massage tables, for the Thai stretching. They have the bars above the table for the staff to hold onto during the stepping. You can opt out of stepping if you aren't comfortable with that. Both times I came in sore and achey, and left super relaxed. The one negative thing about the business that they can't really change at this point is loud neighbors. Depending on what room you're in, you can hear loud sounds from the neighbors, which makes it harder to relax. Nevertheless a really enjoyable and fair priced massage opportunity. Think twice before you use this place. I get massages regularly so I am pretty familiar with what to benchmark a place against... First of all, in today's day, online bookings shouldn't be bait and switching. Most places have already figured how to use online booking engines that are real time, but as you can see from other reviews, they book your time as if they have availability, but call back to make you move to different spots. I've been juggled around when I've called in for a massage in the past before as well so clearly time management for bookings is not a strength. Second big issue you can tell about is how they care for clients that support them. We all know that purchasing gift cards is a huge benefit for a small business as it delivers a windfall of funds before a service is ever provided. But this places customer experience math is a different animal. I go with a 60 minute prepaid massage gift card and asked to extend to 90 mins. Unlike regular businesses that would charge the difference, this place will charge as if you booked a new massage treatment at the rate of $50 for 30 mins instead of the difference to add additional time. Something management should think about as customers who support should be ones you want to take care of instead of sticking it to them on technicalities. Just not the way I would run my small business and not the way I've experienced elsewhere. Wow what an amazing experience at Sabai Thai Massage! I was asked to fill out a new client form and share what kind of treatment I'd like. I checked off the box that said "no stepping" since it's not my preference. You can choose what you'd like. I chose a Thai Combination massage, which included deep tissue and some stretching. My therapist Amanda was incredible. She worked out the tight spots in my shoulders and upper back (from way too much computer time) and even helped relieve hip pain along my IT band. She found knots I didn't even know existed and got rid of them! I'd seen some reviews mention that the location (next to a nail salon and martial arts studio) can sometimes be noisy. My appointment was at 12:30 on a Friday, and I'm happy to report it was very quiet and peaceful -- I was able to fully relax the whole time. I've had decent massages before but my first massage at Sabai Thai was pretty great. Unfortunately, I online booked a last minute one hour Swedish massage for 2:45, & it was already 2:15. I got a call right away from Abby, who I assume is the manager, saying they didn't have a spot open at 2:45. I had a phone call at 4pm, which I told her, so she said she would see if she could move around another client & get me the 2:45. She called back in 2 mins & said she was unable to move clients around, but suggested that I could come in at 3pm & do a 45 min massage, & they would charge me a bit less - $60 instead of $70. The pricing here is comparable to other places, about $10 cheaper than Sunny's Foot Spa, where I normally go, & cheaper than Massage Envy. A 30 min massage is $50, 60 minute is $70, 90 minute is $100, and 120 minute is $140. Not bad at all. They offer a lot of different types of massages: Swedish, Thai Deep tissue, Thai combo, traditional Thai, lymphatic drainage, & prenatal. They also offer aromatherapy, cupping, brown sugar scrub, hot stones & CBD oil as extras. The location is a very nondescript location in a strip mall next to a Ruby's Diner, I actually get my nails done right next door at Golden Nail. I got here right at 3pm, waited about 5 mins, & informed my masseuse that I needed to be out by 3:55. The inside of the massage parlor is very zen & calming, minimalist but very well kept up. I undressed & laid on the table, & Ann came in, asking what I'd like to focus on, I told her my legs & back. It started as any typical massage does, with an oil rubdown & hot towel, but then she asked if I was okay if she walked on my back, & I said yes. Most of the massages I've had, they use their hands & arms, but I think she had bars above her & she stepped carefully on various areas of my back, which was absolutely amazing!! She used her forearms to rub the outer & inner thigh areas, bending my leg at an outward angle like a frog that was a lovely stretch with the pressure she applied. At some point I asked her to use more pressure, which she did perfectly, but there was one movement on my shoulders that hurt with that much pressure so I asked her to go a bit lighter. When she finished that movement she went straight back to the heightened pressure, without me even asking, & it was like she could read my mind. Oftentimes I leave a massage feeling bruised & I think there's a very fine line between feeling relaxed vs. bruised, post massage, & she toed that line like a pro. Towards the end of the massage she had me sit upright on the table & she squatted behind me on the table, using her forearms to push her body weight down on my shoulders, really getting into the stubborn knots that I could feel cracking, & she could definitely hear. I've never had any masseuse do that either, & it was EXTREMELY effective. It was like she made it her personal mission to get rid of those knots in one session, whereas most massages I've had, they work on that area a bit, tell me "you're so tense here!" then move onto another area. Had I more time, I would have extended the massage to 90 minutes, because she was that good & the massage was more skillful & all-encompassing that it was absolutely worth the price paid. Sabai is definitely making my number #1 favorite massage parlor now, & next time I'll be doing the full hour (at least) & adding in the $20 extra for the brown sugar exfoliating scrub. They do charge an extra 3.9% if you pay by card, luckily I had enough cash & paid my $60, plus a $20 tip for Ann because I felt so relaxed & loose after her masterful massage - not bruised or sore. I liked that the online booking was easy, & they got back to me right away to fit me in despite the tight schedule I had, & Ann was a talented & dedicated masseuse. She mostly used her elbows and knees, with very little massage done using her fingers, which made it less effective for my neck pain. I usually drive 20 minutes away to get Thai massage and have been doing that for the last 11 years. I didn't know that a new Thai massage place opened 6 months ago only 4 minutes away. Yesss! I really can walk to it if I want to. But after a massage I may not want to walk back. :-) There are many massage businesses near me but I prefer Thai massage than the other kinds. It is a matter of personal preference I guess. There is one other Thai massage place near me also but somehow they never returned my call. At this place, my call was answered right away when I was making appointment. Also they sent me a reminder call and a text of my appointment. Cool! The place is clean, modern, and decorated nicely just like any other Thai massage places. I enjoyed the massage too. The therapist use a slow but heavy pressure first, all over my body, up and down(no oil). Then she switch to Swedish type of massage with oil, then she switched to Thai pressure type of massage with her elbows using the massage oil. There were pretty much a variety of light and heavy pressure through out. So it was pretty balanced that it was not only light and not only hard pressure. I had a full body massage for 90 minutes. I was able to explain to the therapist about my injury and she understood and was able to communicate well. The music was the same nice soft relaxing Thai type music like other places. The only thing that I needed was warmth. I was a bit chilly having this massage in January. My legs were cold. Then I remembered that usually massage tables have heaters. So I asked the therapist to turned on the heat. She said that it was on but she cranked it up to the highest. Then I felt great and warm. So I really suggest to communicate with your therapist about warming the table. After the massage I was served a cup of hot tea. It is so nice to know that this place exist. I will be back. I may be back to the other Thai massage place too but if this keeps going great I may just come here more often. It is better than driving for 20 minutes. read more

I have traveled to Thailand several times over the last 10 years & made it a point to always get traditional Thai massage from a 5-star spa. I'm partial to Thai massage using the traditional massage teachings of the Wat Po monastery on the royal palace grounds in Bangkok. It is said that the Wat Po teachings are the best & most ancient massage techniques in the Thai tradition. I'm very pleased that you can find these massage techniques practiced at Sabai Thai Massage in Tustin! I've had two different masseuses there over the 8-9 months that Sabai has been opened and both are excellent traditional Thai masseuses using the Wat Po traditions & techniques.
