Dr. Berenson is the best! My wife became very ill during a visit to New Orleans last week. Late that night I began searching for medical care online and came across NOLA Doc. I completed an online appointment request and a NOLA Doc nurse promptly contacted my wife by phone early the next morning. An appointment with Dr. Berenson was made for 9:00 AM and he was right on time. He spent approximately 45 minutes speaking with my wife and getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Berenson was calming and at no point did my wife feel rushed. He provided much useful information and he patiently answered every question. He provided two prescriptions for pickup at a nearby pharmacy and even offered to speak to our primary care physician back home if required. Dr. Berenson was comforting and effective during a frightening time far from home. I highly recommend him. read more

This has to be the absolute worst scam of a business. I have had countless amount of IV Hydration treatments all across the country for about 3 1/2 years and it's usually a breeze. I called their number, a woman answers the phone, she tells me you'd have to make a doctors consultation which would cost $225 to 250, then you'd have to pay the nurse and on top of that you'd have to pay hundreds of dollars for the IV hyrdration etc. i frankly have never felt so disgusted in life. Stay away from these people, it appears all the reviews with 5 stars are people who works with this doctor or his relatives. Take your business elsewhere cuz this is pure stupidity in every level. read more

Dr. Mark came over within an hour of calling and got us feeling much better and saved a day of misery. His bed side manner is amazing and is very easy to talk to. Right before a year-long planned trip to New Orleans for my best friends wedding, I needed emergency treatment that required follow up on day 4 and day 7 after the initial treatment. Problem is, day 7 I was supposed to be in New Orleans. Desperate to save my trip and still be able to attend my friends wedding, I reached out to half a dozen clinics and urgent cares in New Orleans. I needed a blood test and possible a follow up dose of a medication on day 7, and not a single clinic said they would be able to help me. I resigned myself to having to cancel my trip but as a last effort I reached out to NOLA Doc on yelp explaining my situation and asking if they could help. Dr Berenson wrote back right away saying that he thought he could help. I had a phone consultation with him before my trip and he was able to set up the blood test I needed on day 7 and confirmed that he could have the second dose of medication ready if I needed it, and he would be able to come to my AirBNB and administer it. I felt instantly at ease talking to him and coordinating with Brooke could not have been easier. I went to the lab today on day 7 and he promptly informed me of my results. I am so happy and relieved to have been able to get the follow up medical that I needed and still be able to be on vacation with my family - and attend my friends wedding! I am so thankful to Dr Berenson and his team and I could not recommend them more highly. read more

In the midst of Halloween Weekend with work to follow, he came by with his super chill vibe and an IV drip. He mixed in some vitamins that got me out of the door feeling 100% rejuvenated. I was on a short trip to NOLA and must have had some bad seafood that caused horrible vomiting and diarrhea. This had happened before and i knew i was starting to feel dehydrated. Dr. Berenson to the rescue. The receptionist who took the call was very empathetic and quickly asked all the relevant questions to send Dr. B immediately. He arrived to my hotel room in about an hour and set up an IV, which started to make me feel better right away. He also gave me some nausea meds as well as supplements to help my gut heal over the next couple of days. I really appreciated Dr. Berensons bed side manner, his thorough approach, and overall patience and close care. I coildnt imagine how terrible an ER visit would have been as the alternative. A doctor who makes house calls! How great is that! We called him on a Sunday and within an hour he was at our hotel room. Dr. Mark Berenson is super knowledgeable with a wonderful bedside manor. He used to be an ER doctor so he is able to handle most illnesses. We were in New Orleans for the weekend and my daughter was having a gastrointestinal flare up, couldn't keep in any fluids, much less food. She became dehydrated. Dr. Mark gave her an IV and she felt better right away. He taught us what to do the next time there's an intestinal UC flare up - small sips of liquid to stay hydrated, and go to a liquid diet for 3 days to let the gut heal. I wish our gastroenterologist told us that before. He's a little bit pricey, but worth every penny! If you're short on time or not able to travel, he's your man. Dr. Mark also has regular patients that he visits. If you have an elderly parent who can't travel, Dr Mark would be a great alternative. Highly recommend Dr. Mark if you need urgent or primary care. read more

Their accessibility via web/phone plus in-person house calls makes them a sort of 'country doctor for the 21st century'! I've felt very well cared for during the pandemic, as they guided me through the complications of testing and vaccinating while I traveled internationally for school. Dr. Mark is wonderful. While visiting New Orleans, I had a flare up of plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I could barely walk. Not fun anytime but especially away from home. After reading the great reviews on here I gave him a call. A few hours later, he was at my hotel room & I received a cortisone shot along with several days worth of prednisone. He took a lot of time with me, offered options and follow up advice. The convenience of having him pop in to my hotel was well worth the cost. And not having to deal with finding a pharmacy also was great. While I hope I don't need his services in the future, I would not hesitate to call him again. Highly recommend! read more

I had the misfortune of suffering an acute gastrointestinal attack while attending a convention in New Orleans. My colleague, who also was stricken with the same ailment went on Yelp and discovered NOLA Doc. I called at 8 A.M., and within an hour Dr. Berenson and his assistant Ginger were knocking on my hotel room door. His diagnostic abilities, bedside manner and treatment were flawless. Dr. Berenson patiently and in understandable terms explained what I had and suggested a recommend treatment - which I gratefully accepted, One IV later and I went from hating life to as if nothing had ever happened. I was so happy and grateful for my visit with Mark today. I had a combination of food poisoning and dehydration from my recent trip to Arizona. I called NOLA Doc and Mark was able to see me quickly! Mark treated me with IV's and it was such a relief to have to someone come to the house instead of having to visit Urgent Care. We also had a thorough consultation about my trip in order to determine the multiple causes of my sickness. I really enjoyed Mark's holistic approach to self care and treatment. All the other reviews of this doctor are completely in line with what I experienced. He is very knowledgeable, quick to get started on needed treatment, and his voice sounds like an NPR show host. What more could you want? If I'm ever stupid enough to drink so many different types of horrible shots on Bourbon Street again, I will want to kill myself, but I'll also call this doctor. read more
