I honestly didn't want to leave a review because I had gone to Nikki multiple times before and…read moreliked my previous appointments. That's why this situation has been disappointing for me. I got my hair done on May 1st, and shortly after I started noticing my blonde turning very warm/yellow, uneven, and patchy. There were darker spots throughout my hair, different tones in different areas, and certain parts even looked reddish in some lighting. I understand blonde hair fades and requires maintenance, but this looked uneven rather than like a normal faded blonde. I originally texted Nikki respectfully because I was concerned about how quickly my hair was changing color. I explained that it was turning brassy/yellow and sent photos. Her response was basically that blonde fades warm and that it "doesn't look bad." Today, I went with my sister to her appointment and before she even started, I calmly brought up my concerns in person because I genuinely wanted reassurance and clarification. I explained that I was worried because my hair looked uneven, yellow, and I didn't want it turning green or more brassy over time. Nikki immediately responded saying she didn't see green, that my hair was not yellow, and that it was simply a "warm blonde" that had faded. When I pointed out that there were darker areas throughout my hair, she responded with attitude saying it was because of the weaving. My mom also mentioned that parts of my hair looked reddish, and Nikki became visibly bothered and defensive. The entire conversation felt uncomfortable over simple questions about my own hair. Things got worse when my sister started discussing her own hair color. Nikki made a comment telling my sister to "pick another color because you'll have issues like your sister." At that point, my mom asked if we could privately talk because the situation already felt tense. During that conversation, Nikki said we were basically the only clients in Pahrump who ask so many questions, that she doesn't like being asked things multiple times, and implied that we are never happy. That honestly shocked me because clients should absolutely be allowed to ask questions and voice concerns about services they are paying hundreds of dollars for -- especially blonde services. This is our hair, and respectfully asking about color, tone, and unevenness should not make a client feel uncomfortable, judged, or like a burden. What makes this even more frustrating is that I NEVER had this issue the previous two times I went to her. My hair never faded this unevenly before, which is why I knew something looked off this time. I even went to another stylist afterward for a consultation, and they immediately pointed out uneven tones, brassiness, darker patchy areas, and lack of proper blending/weaving throughout parts of my hair. I understand every stylist can have an off appointment. The issue for me was the defensiveness, attitude, and dismissal whenever concerns were brought up. Customer service and professionalism matter just as much as the final result, and no client should leave feeling uncomfortable for simply asking questions about their own hair.

Suffice to say this delightful lady is a genius with color and cuts. Actually I'm certain whatever service you require she's certain to surpass your highest expectations. I feel SO FORTUNATE to have found her and just in time to make me shine at my son's wedding. I couldn't recommend her enough!!!

She's patient as my kids can't seem to look straight beyond 1 snip Her level of service was exceptional, regardless if it's a kid or not She blows my expectations out of the water every time. Their ends are soft like literal strands of silk. CON: I now have to get a hair washing station My 8 yo has wanted to get her hair colored for a while, which meant the 4yo did too. This was not a decision made lightly, as many pros who are seasoned with asian hair have turned mine into straw. Jaiden is barely a year out of school, but it's hard to ignore the results of her work on IG. I've said this before - what she lacks in years of experience, she makes up for with natural talent. LBR - "Kids services" are watered-down services with a lollipop, so I didn't expect much. Since they only wanted their ends done, if it ruined their hair, a trim would have fixed it. The 8yo was up first, so the naturally anxious 4yo could observe and become comfortable before her turn. Jaiden is so chill that just by being around her, she expelled whatever demon possessed them and turned them into docile ladies. She worked with them directly to find out how much to cut, what color they wanted, and where they wanted it. In the past, my 8yo made me sit next to her, and my 4yo needs to hold my hand. To my surprise, I was gently dismissed by both and sat in the lobby. I took it as maybe they just wanted their dad. He was also turned away. We didn't plan for our youngest to get a haircut. This would have been her first cut, and we didn't want to risk her being a disturbance to others, as she is a screaming crier around new people or experiences. You could tell she had FOMO as she watched her sisters have their "big girl" moment. It meant a lot that Jaiden squeezed in a cut for her. I'm thinking dry trim and done. Nope. She got a full service with a wash. My baby told me she was going to be brave as she lay back and waited to be pampered. When she was done, she held a strand of hair and said she was beautiful while grinning ear to ear. Everyone is so nice. They could tell my monsters were hangry, and they offered them snacks. Hubs hates public bathrooms, especially for the kiddos, since they're usually so gross. He was pleasantly surprised and even commented on how nice and clean it was.  My 8yo is super picky, and most anything never meets her expectations. I expected her to tell me she was disappointed when we were in private. She shared that this was the right color shade. She wanted something subtle so she's not a distraction in class. She said if she wanted the color to stand out, all she had to do was put it in a ponytail. I had a WTF moment when I saw my 4yo because that level of vibrancy is very hard to do with our hair type. I wanted that for ME TOO!!! Girl strutted outta there with so much sass.  I lost track of time and was stunned that 5 hours had gone by when the girls were done. She didn't take a break or even have lunch. I told her she should eat before doing my haircut. She opted to just keep going. That level of determination and hard work is so rare. Hubs said I was beaming and glowing when I walked outta the salon with my new bouncy do. In the past, if I wanted to change up my hairstyle, I'd have to find a new artist because they were only capable of doing one cut. I have challenged her with something different every time I've seen her and she's knocked it outta the park each time. I ask the kiddos every night what the best part of their day was. They told me it was getting their hair colored. *shocker* Their dad snuck in after I tucked them in and also asked the same question. Don't tell Mom, but I liked having my hair washed sitting down.
