This sports centre is located next to the students union, near to the city centre. It is quite a…read moremodern centre and therefore the facilities are still in a decent condition. The sports centre is used frequently by students who get special discounts on the courts and classes. However others can use the facilities too, but for a higher price. The centre offers a range of classes such as yoga and aerobics, as well as squash courts and a hall which can be rented out for football, badminton, table tennis etc. The one downside to the centre is that it is sometimes used for university exams. This means that the hall is unavaliable at this time. As the centre is aimed at students opening hours and classes are significantly reduced when it is not term time.

I am a member of the David Lloyd Club. It has recently had a cash injection from new buyers and has…read moreupgraded its studio, and is currently upgrading the gym, after Christmas it will upgrade the changing rooms which badly need it. There are fab exercise classes that you need to book in for, the gym has a wide range of equipment. The pool is small which lets the place down somewhat. The bar/restaurant area is good and kids are welcome, good food at reasonable to expensive prices, so occasional treat rather than regular feature. Good kids clubs mainly for under 10s, need to be booked. I like it there. Tennis, badminton & squash courts.
