We stopped by to get our ID cards today and we stayed for a few hours at the beer garden. A very nice and welcome addition to this club. My family went here when I was younger and I've been coming here for the past few years. It always had the same feel as it did when I was a kid, but the new Beer garden is a welcome change. The staff have always been friendly and the snack bar is a pretty solid place to get food. We occasionally get something small to munch on, but we're big fans of their water ice.

The Diving Pool was completely rebuilt over the winter of 2021-2022, ALL of the filters were replaced as they were at the end of their life. The locker/ shower rooms were also redecorated and rearranged over the winter of 2019-2020. This winter, 2022, it is planned to completely rebuild the mid-sized pool with other sundry improvements. More Trees have been planted on the Ball Field side of the pools. In all, the physical plant has undergone some very expensive upgrades over the past few years. As far as people using abusive, foul language, we really can't stop that BUT, you do have the right to ask others to keep it civil. Personally, I find the use of foul language to be offensive and uncalled for, and unacceptable!!!!!!!!!! We do try and keep the place as clean as possible but were not magicians and in all honesty, we can't do it alone. As members, it is YOUR club too and your responsibility to help keep it clean! There are 2 diving boards that I think are longer than usual. Fulcrum is adjustable. Tremendous flex: you can really drive the board and get a lot of air. Grounds: lots os space. A number of pavilions are available. Trees all over for shade. Playground next to the pool. Shuffleboard. Corn hole. Backyard connect 4. No reason for kids to be bored. Bathrooms are clean and fine. Not luxury but not gross. Staff: my kids say the lifeguards blow the whistle a lot. I say they they are paying attention and keeping the pool in order. They watch the diving boards like a hawk: kids can't go off without passing the swim test. I would consider going here if I weren't already a member of a other pool!

Not only was my son paired with a teacher who lacked the expertise needed; management was aware of it and made a point to tell me she was not the right teacher. Weeks later and after I reached out again, I was told they found a new instructor but the dates and times were completely different. When I wasn't able to make it work; they refused to refund me the advanced lessons already paid for. While the instructor was lovely with my child. 10 of the 30 minute lesson was spent cleaning up the pool and requiring my child to help. They offered a credit but refused a refund for the unused classes. If anyone wants 5 free classes at Kids First, you are welcome to my credit.

Warning to all: don't hire ever hire Cascade Pool Service in Glenside, PA. Several of the employees…read more are quite nice , but the owner, who identified himself only as Paul, is either the rudest and most unprofessional business owner ever or he's remarkably adept at weaseling out of financial responsibility for his company's incompetence by finding a reason to blame the customer. Long story short: we hired Glenside to close our pool last autumn, and the workers made a mistake that wound up breaking our pool pump motor. We reported it to Cascade Pools and sent pictures, as requested, at the time of the closing, but only confirmed that the mistake had broken the motor when our longtime pool guy opened the pool. It was urgent to get the pump running, so when we called Glenside and they were closed, our longtime pool person had to set up a temporary emergency fix to get it running in time for an event. Cascade Pools owner, Paul, called the next day, and oddly, quickly became defensive and incensed that someone else had helped us set up a quick fix to temporarily get it working, talking over me to hammer home that he wasn't paying for someone else's work (which I hadn't asked for) --and then, in a huff, hung up on me and refused to talk further. It's quite amazing: HIS company broke MY motor, but in the course of this brief and extremely unpleasant exchange, he shrilly demanded I explain myself, self-righteously accused me of an 'attitude' he embodied perfectly, refused to give me enough space to talk or actually listen, and then childishly hung up on me. My heart goes out to his employees; Iit must be a nightmare to work for him. In any case, Cascade Pools doesn't deserve anyone's business.

On Labor Day weekend I took my 11 year old son who has autism, with me to the Glenside Pool…read morebecause he loves to be in the water. We got there early in hopes of having an enjoyable day. Sadly, that day took a negative and very disrespectful turn for the worse due to an encounter with a older gentleman who made unnecessary derogatory comments to my autistic child, which were heard by pool goers. On this day, there was hardly anyone in the pool at the time of the incident and my son was in a small area of the pool. I was sitting on the edge of the pool watching my son when this man swam near him and started talking (I couldn't hear what he was saying) then he said loudly "Does this kid speak English?" I said "Sir my son has autism" and then he complained that he was trying to swim and he wasn't moving out of his way. So I asked my son to move towards me. The point is that this man could have easily swam around my son and or dealt with this in a more appropriate and sensitive manner. He totally embarrassed me with this unnecessary confrontation which was loud enough for others around us to hear. It tarnished my experience at the pool. This same man surprisingly did the exact same thing last year and even complained to the lifeguards that he was trying to swim and my son was in his way! I had told him then that my son had autism and he made no move to apologize for his insensitive comments and or behavior. As a resident of Cheltenham Township I do not feel that I or my disabled child, who has limited communication skills, should be subjected to unreasonable and insensitive experiences like this. If you have a special needs child, be vigilant. I complained to the Township.

Why go to the beach to do the same thing we would do at the pool? People are allowed to bring their lunches in with them. They do have a concession stand with ice cream, chips, hotdogs, pizza, and pretzels. When there is bad weather in the forecast they will shut down the pool. One time we came here and it was thundering over 10 miles away, but because we could hear it they ordered everyone out of the water. Better safe than sorry I guess. I wish adult swim was longer than 15 minutes. Some of the lifeguards do a good job making sure the kids are behaving and following the rules, while others seem hesitant to say anything. I had come here one time and a group of 5 kids was standing in front of the diving board the moment adult swim started. They just had to be first in line the moment kids swim started again. But it just seemed silly, because adult swim just started and they had 15 minutes to find something else to do. It was getting annoying having to ask them to move out of the way so adults can dive off the diving board. I notice a lot of bugs in the grass under the trees. Fleas and mosquitos. So be careful before bringing your towels and equipment back inside your home. I also want to mention the guest fees went up in price significantly in the past year. They used to be $5 now it's $10. You can only pay with CASH. So, come prepared.

There is a kids pool, which ranges from 2 feet to 3 1/2 feet. There's also a third large pool with swimming lanes, and a diving area of 11 feet. However, on the first day of the swim, I found out my daughter who is 13 and short, being assigned to a 15-19-year-old team without parent permission. I told 9oaks that raises safety concerns, and I couldn't go with 9oaks, I asked for a full refund. Then 9oaks only return me half of the membership fee and half of the swim team fee, they keep the late fee and processing fee as well. I think within 3 days, they did not assign a team appropriately, which is a safety concern, I have to quit; it is reasonable to ask for a full refund.
