Several of the employees…read more are quite nice , but the owner, who identified himself only as Paul, is either the rudest and most unprofessional business owner ever or he's remarkably adept at weaseling out of financial responsibility for his company's incompetence by finding a reason to blame the customer. Long story short: we hired Glenside to close our pool last autumn, and the workers made a mistake that wound up breaking our pool pump motor. We reported it to Cascade Pools and sent pictures, as requested, at the time of the closing, but only confirmed that the mistake had broken the motor when our longtime pool guy opened the pool. It was urgent to get the pump running, so when we called Glenside and they were closed, our longtime pool person had to set up a temporary emergency fix to get it running in time for an event. Cascade Pools owner, Paul, called the next day, and oddly, quickly became defensive and incensed that someone else had helped us set up a quick fix to temporarily get it working, talking over me to hammer home that he wasn't paying for someone else's work (which I hadn't asked for) --and then, in a huff, hung up on me and refused to talk further. It's quite amazing: HIS company broke MY motor, but in the course of this brief and extremely unpleasant exchange, he shrilly demanded I explain myself, self-righteously accused me of an 'attitude' he embodied perfectly, refused to give me enough space to talk or actually listen, and then childishly hung up on me. My heart goes out to his employees; Iit must be a nightmare to work for him. In any case, Cascade Pools doesn't deserve anyone's business.

On Labor Day weekend I took my 11 year old son who has autism, with me to the Glenside Pool…read morebecause he loves to be in the water. We got there early in hopes of having an enjoyable day. Sadly, that day took a negative and very disrespectful turn for the worse due to an encounter with a older gentleman who made unnecessary derogatory comments to my autistic child, which were heard by pool goers. On this day, there was hardly anyone in the pool at the time of the incident and my son was in a small area of the pool. I was sitting on the edge of the pool watching my son when this man swam near him and started talking (I couldn't hear what he was saying) then he said loudly "Does this kid speak English?" I said "Sir my son has autism" and then he complained that he was trying to swim and he wasn't moving out of his way. So I asked my son to move towards me. The point is that this man could have easily swam around my son and or dealt with this in a more appropriate and sensitive manner. He totally embarrassed me with this unnecessary confrontation which was loud enough for others around us to hear. It tarnished my experience at the pool. This same man surprisingly did the exact same thing last year and even complained to the lifeguards that he was trying to swim and my son was in his way! I had told him then that my son had autism and he made no move to apologize for his insensitive comments and or behavior. As a resident of Cheltenham Township I do not feel that I or my disabled child, who has limited communication skills, should be subjected to unreasonable and insensitive experiences like this. If you have a special needs child, be vigilant. I complained to the Township.

Mike came to our house for the consultation and provided an estimate right on the spot. He was great to work with and spent the time to get to know us and how we would use our pool. He educated us about different types of pools, sizes and shapes. Mike also helped us estimate all of the various costs that go into building a pool including the fence, landscaping, permits, concrete, electrical and gas lines. His estimates were very accurate and knowing this information up front helped us plan and understand the total project cost. Mike helped us with every facet of the project, from getting the survey, applying for permits to getting us connected with trusted contractors and making sure we were prepared for the next step. Mike was also great helping us navigate Lower Makefield Township permits process and regulations. Our pool was recently completed and we love it! Mike opened the pool, oriented my wife and I on the maintenance tasks and provided us with helpful instructions.
