Free Longberry cocktails thanks to Drinki

I instantly liked this place. An intimate bar tucked away in Soho. They play a good selection of music and have an extensive drink menu with some interesting cocktails. The service was also great! It's the kind of place you might come for one of your 20-something birthday drinking event with a few close friends. Be sure to book a table though. Small venue + lots of people = no table for you!

Little basement bar just off Goodge St. I've been here twice now and have had a good experience each time. The staff are friendly and approachable. They have a wheel of win a shot and a back room with a ping pong table. You can also make reservations. The vibe is relaxed and cool.

Popped into Nordic Bar to try the LongBerry cocktail which is for free thanks to 'Drinki' app which gives you a free drink each night. The drink was good. Not overly strong but what I took away from visit was the bar itself. The bar is downs stairs in Fitzrovia in a quiet street hidden away it's very good and has some special things like a wheel of win a shot. Cool vibe and I will defo be back to sample more of it.

I went to Nordic Bar in the evening after my final university exam. A bad worker, I had crammed throughout the night, taken the exam, met my dad for a drink and slightly awkward motivational speech, then gone round my friend's house for a couple of bottles of wine and some N20 robot karaoke. By the evening I was feeling exhausted, slightly disconnected and wanted to go home, however, after some motivational bullying from my friends we went to the Nordic Bar for some drinks. The Nordic bar is a walk-down bar from street level. Once inside it is quite small and a little stuffy. There is a narrow bar area, beyond which is a larger seating area. It may have been my mood but the place had an odd atmosphere, with the other clientele mainly office workers and Scandinavian expats. A little odd but worth trying if you are near.

I met a group of friends here to watch the opening of the Euros. It had quite a few French fans inside. The place is quite narrow by the bar and the tables offer a good alternate setting for drinks. An area was reserved and we also found another table albeit not close to the rest of the party. The drinks were as expected for London prices and they also served some food which looked like standard pub food. One irk was that their card machines stopped working which meant the only alternative if you had no cash was to start a tab and pay it off once it started working again. All in all the bar is okay but apart from the Comic strip in the gents nothing to write home about.

The Nordic Bar is a bit of a mystery to me even though I've been there. Reason being that my friends and I went on a day which was so quiet there were only two other people in the bar and the bar wasn't serving any food unless it had been pre-ordered. We all ordered Longberry cocktails which is a mixture of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, lime vodka, blueberry liqueur, lemon, cranberry juice and crème de mure which was pretty good. There was a ping pong table so we played on there until a few other people showed up who had booked time slots. FYI you have to leave a form of ID behind the bar in order to book the table. It's a bit of an awkward space to play as people walk around the table constantly and the ping pong balls kept flying off in all directions often being retrieved under tables were people were sitting. Two kids turned up with there mother and helped us find the balls whenever they bounced out of range. There wasn't any atmosphere here probably due to the lack of numbers, but it looks like it could be a happening place. I will never know until I come back again during a more busy time.

Nice underground place, with cocktails, classic pub food and screens to watch the latest game if you want to. Not many non-alcoholic drinks for teetotals and preggies like me. There is a ping pong table for hours of fun though, and karaoke on Thursdays (apparently) I enjoyed the sofas, they are very comfortable and i'll definitely be coming back (in about 6 months time when i can "sample" their cocktails.)

Try the longberry cocktail. Literally the best thing ever!!

After downing a Carrie Bradshaw-style cocktail at the chill subterranean Friendly Society (review:…read morehttps://yelp.to/4zJuovAN4J), Jamie W. and I were way too intimidated to face the manly crowd in front of Compton's. We went in the opposite direction on Rupert Street and found this inviting courtyard bar. It's marketed as a gay bar but... The clientele was more mixed than gay. Hey, it wasn't a big deal to us. Especially as we sauntered to the bar bathed in pink and royal blue dayglow. Boys bellying up to the bar. Oh yeah, we home. The print was really small in their comprehensive cocktail menu, but that didn't stop us from ordering more libations. Stop judging us. Jamie went for the £12.50 Margarita, and I continued my Cosmopolitan streak with their £12 one (photo: https://yelp.to/RsyQWeRD5R). We went back into the courtyard to find a table. The leafy terrace and strings of white light were quite inviting, and we ended up hanging out in this sanctuary until they closed at 11PM. Cool. It gets dull quickly especially right before they close so be prepared to watch for open seats or stand, which is not the worse so you can dance a bit to the great playlist.
