As an amateur photographer in High School and college, I've developed an understanding of photography, and how important good technique AND good equipment is in the process. I've observed some sports photographers with what appears to be subpar photos, poor choices of location, inadequate lighting and more. While coaching basketball at the Lindbergh Athletic Association, I was forced to use Legends Sports Photography. Since I was coaching two teams, I had a lot on my plate. I was confused about my schedules and when I would have the opportunity to meet with photographers to get pictures of my teams. Legends was persistent and polite about scheduling. They sent emails with links and eventually made a personal call when I still hadn't responded. They didn't Try to make me feel guilty for being the last coach to schedule pictures, were polite and courteous and helpful in finding the right time for both my teams. Then what happened, both games on picture day is were snowed out! The season was wrapping up and I thought we would just have to give up. As the coach, I was more concerned about basketball then pictures. I thought that maybe some of the parents might be disappointed it wasn't terribly concerned and didn't want to go out of my way to try to reschedule as the season was almost over. The legends, once again we're helpful about sending emails and eventually calling me to set up a time that work for both of my teams. The pictures were shot, they look amazing, they were completed within two weeks, and as a coach I received a plaque with my team photo and appreciation certificate Mounted onto a wooden plaque. I called the head of the league and told him how kind it was for the league to pay for a gift for the coaches and was told that the league did not pay for it at all, but that it was a gift from Legends Sports Photography. As a coach I work very hard to balance coaching activities with the rest of my life. I spend money on my team and I spend time, and I get many thank you's from parents and a few from my team. Getting such a. Ice gift from a photographer that gets virtually nothing out of my efforts is something that is very impressive. To any coach or league supervisor in the St. Louis area, I offer my strongest recommendation for the use of Legends Sports Photography. I only needed one digital photo of myself, so I asked if I could use the others on my dog and they were very accommodating. When I showed up, I was nervous about bringing my dog all over the store so I called to ask where the studio was located within the store and one of the girls came to the front to get me. They were very friendly towards me and my dog. My only complaint was the photography room was VERY warm and it was difficult to get comfortable. For what it's worth, the photos aren't bad.
