Nordstrom Rack is located in the UTC area. Theres lots of parking but it can get busy. The store usually has some great deals but can sometimes be disorganized. The women's section is much bigger and more varied than the men's. They have a large selection of shoes. Worth seeing what they have. I didn't have any interactions with people who worked there so can't comment on that. read more

Over the years the layout has changed slightly, but it just keeps you on your toes when perusing the store. My only qualm is there are no sizes between the children's largest and the men's smallest in shoes. Lazy employees, decent priced shoes and all but overall not worth it when there are 5 employees at the register 2 of which are talking about how they're finally done even though they regarded the long line that they were leaving 3 employees to serve. I tried to return a dress that I got as a gift, and the cashier as soon as I told her I don't have a receipt because it was a gift, she was giving me so much attitude and laughing. I told her if it's not possible it's fine. But she was being loud and just embarrassing me because I wasn't aware of their policy since I've never shopped there before. But regardless I stayed calm and classy, but the cashier was just giving me attitude just because. I even ended up purchasing other items and they still treated me like crap. This is not my fav NR but it'll do. I came in to return a dress I bought 4 weeks ago. Thrilled the store was having 5, 10 and 15 buy out sale. I bought bags and bags of clothes for Christmas presents to family. Super stoked that I got the frame and L'agence jeans I was eyeing the day before for 15/each. I bought about 11 high end dresses, tops and wide leg jeans. Only paid 140 for everything, 1400 off original price. My daughter and I came back later day and bought more tops and jeans this time. I don't come in often but when I do there has to be some kind of super discounted sale going on. Size 4-5 shoes has ok selection. You get more choices online. Well organized store. Wonderful experience. Found three golf items, and two tops for $130. Would have enjoyed shopping longer, but we were on the clock. Would definitely go back. I felt the selection was very good, but I read other posters stating the labels are not as good/upscale as other NR stores. Great location, easy in/out free parking. The girl who worked the front on 4/28 at 12:15 was threatening and so very rude....I told her to stop following me and she said that she could do whatever she wanted and after I put my mask on I told her to stop following me and she said what are you going to do about it? Great selection here, though a bit smaller than some other Nordstrom Racks I've been in. Would give it a 4.5 out of 5 if I could! My aunt was disappointed in their shoe selection, but I found several great options. My boyfriend wears Crocs at the aquarium he works at, and I was able to find several here for him. Plus I got a mini toaster oven for myself; the small size was perfect for the limited space in my apartment. The clothing selection was vast! I wasn't looking for apparel for myself, but if I was there would have been plenty to pick from. My aunt selected some pants for her husband, a couple tops for herself, and some make up as well, so overall it was a trip full of finds. I have been shopping "Nordstroms" in California for almost 30 years. Always enjoyed the experience and have spent thousands of dollars, especially on their Tommy Bahama items. Unfortunately this part of Florida doesn't have many stores. I have bought several items at this Rack location, but never really spent time researching their return policy. Bought a pair of shoes that quickly rubbed an awful blister on my foot, tried to return them and they refused, even the manager himself. Personally I think it hurts the Nordstrom brand to even associate their name with a place that gives a worse return policy then walmart. I am done shopping there. read more

Like one of the other Yelpers said, if you've been to the Nordstrom Racks in places like Orlando and Buckhead you'll probably be disappointed in the selection at this Rack. It's a smaller store. That said, I am also very grateful that they opened a Rack in Sarasota. It's very hit or miss. I've been several times and my last time shopping there was a success! I found a fabulous pair of black Tori Burch ballet slippers, two awesome pairs of Joes jeans and a few shirts. I found two facconable shirts for my dad and boyfriend last Christmas. So, it seems they stock up very well around the holidays. I've never had issues with the checkout line. Overall a pleasant shopping experience! read more

I would have given this store 4 stars if it weren't for the rather rude store manager. I had items to return that I ordered on line, which stated "returnable to any Nordstrom Rack stores". So I brought the items there only to find out that this particular store will not take them back (home goods). Okay, granted it is up to the store, but I spoke with the corporate office after I was unsuccessful in returning, and they informed me even if the store wouldn't take the items back they should have offered to ship it back for me. From the way the floor manager sounded and showing me a piece of paper stating that their store will not accept return of home goods, she was just rude. What ever happened to good customer service!? She acted I should have known their store policy when in fact all items I purchased on line stated they were returnable to the store. Have some manners! read more

First day open! The store is well organized from what I could see. It was crowded today. Lots of shoes with great prices. I found several I had to have! I saw lots of bargains in the clothing section but will go back when it's not so crowded. There are also lots of high end jeans, some up to around $280. They better make your butt look great! Glad to have a Nordstrom rack in Sarasota. Sadly however, the inventory is lacking & uninteresting. Does it come from other locations where these goods just don't sell well, or is it that the buying team has sized sarasota up to be bland & boring. On the same token, there are times when one can go in & score well for everyone who has a need. The departments that are strongest are shoes & handbags. Would be interested to see more of a men's shop, on that is fresh & on point; not the discards of the likes of Tommy Hilfiger & Original Penguin; whole these may be popular with some, I do not feel that it is a good representation of Nordstrom Rack. Would like to see more of the following in men's: 7 for all mankind Citizens of humanity Fred Perry Gant Rugger Polo Vince Jack Spade Burkman Bros Canali Burberry Along with other modern classic brands. Leave the Original Hilfiger to the lesser outlets. Overall, Nordstrom Rack isn't a bad idea, you can score some great items, you just have to time your visits to 1-2x/month. But the inventory & brands need major overhaul. read more

I've been in this Nordstrom's Rack a few times and almost always walk out empty handed because the inventory is blah. Nice shoes and ahh nice shoes. So why four stars? Because today I walked in and had an amazing experience. The one jumpsuit they had in my size was a little dirty and the associate checked but there were no more in my size in the store or area. However, they were able to take it back to the onsite seamstress to steam clean within minutes. This was important to me because I needed it for a special event and wasn't sure if I could get it cleaned in time. The two associates helping me were extremely empathetic and patient. Great service! I'm sure if I went in "The Rack" more often I would trip up on more finds but I'm not a fan of shopping. I was extremely pleased with my purchase today. read more

I was so looking forward to this store opening here. I have been to many of them in other cities. This one is a complete disappointment. I am shocked given Nordstrom's reputation that they would open this one. It is crowded ...nothing well displayed. Not much merchandise and what there is not special. They do have lots of shoes but usually the isles are not well maintained and getting help of any kind is difficult. It is off my list. read more

The bulk of the merchandise they sell seems more the quality of Wal-Mart then that of a high end clothier. Not sure where the stock comes from but it doesn't seem to be from the parent company. when a company will not provide an email address, i will stop shopping there! i ordered a huge order from nord. rack, which was delivered today. i decided to order an identical sweater, but in another color..... but this company told me i had never ordered anything from them. funny..... i have the purchases and a receipt on my bed right now. it's impossible to email them because they offer noooooo email address for the rack or even for regular, very expensive nordstrom's. i guess my time is not as important as theirs, and so what if i have to look for 45 minutes to find out that it's impossibe to email them! we're just the little people so why should they furnish us with their email address? i'll just take my hundreds to macy's. thanks for absolutely nothing! s. larson read more

I've shopped at Nordstrom Rack stores in Denver and in Tampa before. Both had better selection on women's clothing and shoes than this new one, but maybe they are still stocking up. I've never had so much trouble finding nice clothes (there's a lot of cheaper brands in clothing at least and not a lot of high end shoes). More importantly to this review, they just opened and it's the holidays so they use these cool little mobile chashier devices and I would highly suggest STAYING CLEAR of them. I just shopped there last night and was charged almost $400 in clothes and a pair of shoes on the mobile device at 4:00pm and sent an e-receipt at almost 7pm that night (with NO OTHER RECEIPT GIVEN TO ME TO REVIEW THE CHARGES) and found that I was charged twice for a dress I purchased. I called the store to ask for the money to be credited back to my card (as they should have the electronic receipt and I could give them the SKU and barcodes, etc. on the email sent to me) and was told I would have to physically return to the store to show them the e-receipt (again, an electronic email) to have them "look into it". I'm of course bothered that I have to make another trip out to Sarasota to get refunded for an item I did not purchase so I'll be returning today to get that refund as well as return the rest of the items and won't be returning. I haven't known Nordstrom to be have bad customer service ever so I am deeply surprised by this incident and think they just aren't able to handle the errors that either the systems or employees are making yet. read more

This Nordstrom Rack is the best EVER. I've found so many great designer pairs of shoes here (mostly Tory Burch), for amazing prices. It's pretty organized for a Rack, and the shopping experience is great. It wasn't too busy when I went in, but it was pretty early.
