My first time here and IN LOVE!!! Sweetest staff. I asked if they had shopping carts and one member went and got me one. There are so many shoes and clothes and handbags and skincare items! Legit hard not to buy the whole store. Had to stop myself from filling up the shopping cart. Store is wonderfully organized. Got Nike sneakers and Nike sweats! Best prices. What is it they say about the thrill of the hunt. This Nordstrom Rack seems more of an outlier compared to many that I've been to. The racks themselves are far more orderly without the picked clean Hitchcockian Birds frenzy all too common at many deep discounters including NR. You'll still find too many lime green polos and wind sock orange spring jackets that will never sell (at least not in this country) but bargains are to be had. What do I care if I walk away with a deeply discounted pair of "last season" jeans. What sane person could possibly tell the difference? (Pro tip: there is no difference.) Regrettably, there appears to be very little in Mr. Hitchcock's size. Nordstrom Rack is worth a few minutes of your time. An easy five stars. Birds not included. read more

Nordstrom Rack is a division of Nordstrom's. You can say it's their discounted store, with many clearance sales of items that are of the previous fashion season. Some of the shoes have been worn, only to be deep-discounted up to 70%. Most items that don't sell in their main store appear at the Rack. Here you can shop high-priced names at reasonably bourgeois prices. Shop wisely and do try things on. read more

I typically go to Nordstrom Rack twice a year to freshen up my wardrobe with something new. I miss having Nordstroms in my mall, but they closed the store down sadly. Today I took a ride to the Rack( it's 1/2 hour away). I was very disappointed to say the least. I feel like it was deja vu from last year. Same Madewell t shirts, Rag n Bone jeans for $225, Ugly floral polyester dresses, beauty products were ok but Marshall's is cheaper, shoes were ok but not great, handbags were either designer ( think Tory Burch for $350) or Michael Kors or cheaper Marshall's looking stuff. Lots of jeans from designers Tables of expensive sunglasses... sad to say I didn't buy anything! I tried very hard, honestly. I just felt I was looking at last years stuff again! I placed an order yesterday on line. I was given the option of free shipping to my home or pick up in the store tomorrow. Being I was excited for these shoes and had off of work, I selected pick up in store tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I read my email that said the order is not available yet and should be there in like 5 days. They will send me an email when the order is ready for pick up. This changed everything. I only have off today. I have no idea when I would be available again to go pick up the order. Had I known the order wouldn't have been ready when they said, I would have selected the option, ship to my home. I called Customer Service. They said, okay, the store will take care of it and they transferred my call to the store. I spoke to someone who put me through to the woman in charge of orders and pick up. I explained to her and she told me it's not her problem and I would have to call Nordstrom.com. I said they just transferred me to you. She immediately got nasty and short with me. However, she said when my order arrives there and I receive an email to call her and they will ship it to my home then. I decided to call Nordstrom.com back and told her that it would be easier to cancel my order. I will reorder and select ship to my home. She told me, no, not possible. I can not change my choice of how to get my purchase. I explained, they were the ones who said it was available for pick up today and changed it on me. She too, became nasty and said not another word yet my call was still active. After being on a silent line for almost 20 minutes, the call was disconnected. Think twice about their policies. Also, hopefully when contacting their customer service reps, hope you get someone who will help. All in all, they were absolutely no help! read more

I love this chain since you can always find great deals. Since I was in the area and in need for some winter gloves I decided to stop here, they didn't have what I was looking for but I did get a jacket, sneakers and tights. I found the store to be well organized and they had a lot of things to choose from. There was a long line to pay but the cashier were fast and the line moved pretty quickly. read more

I love Nordstrom Rack, always has a great selection of clothing, accessories, bags, etc. I recommend this location if you have been eyeing any designer wallets or bags, a lot of brands here (e.g. marc jacobs, kate spade, tory, etc). Bought a pair of jeans two days ago on the nordstrom rack app. This morning, 48 hours after buying, the item was 25% off of the price I paid. When I called customer service to request an adjustment since the price came down so much after only 48 hours, I was told that price adjustment would not be honored. Very disappointed that a good company would take this stance and make me go to the store for a price adjustment when it can be done over the phone like every other retailer. read more

I love Nordstrom. Customer service was wonderful. The Nordstrom Rack is totally lacking customer service. This review has nothing to do with the merchandise. I visited the Nordstrom Rack in Eatontown, NJ yesterday to return something purchased online. As usual I waited a half hour in line. 2 people doing the returns. Ridiculous!! You need to figure out a better system. People aren't able to spend a ridiculous amount of time to check out, pick up orders, or to return. Saks off Fifth seems to have a much better faster system. This place is a total nightmare. Nothing is worth standing on a 30 person line that snakes around the racks and all the way to the back of the store. And that's at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon. My teenage daughter and I love shopping here. - they carry many choices of shoes in size 8 (her size), 11 ( my size) , and 13 (my sister's size). Shoe choices are modern and upscale. Everything from Sam Edelman and Rag and Bone to Cole Haan, Kate Spade and Coach. - incredible customer service. In each department there are at least two Reps walking around asking if you need help or service. The customer service is as good as it is in the Nordstrom Dept Store. On our last visit we bought 4 pieces of jewelry. As we were walking out we were looking in our shopping bag and noticed that the jewelry had tangled. A Rep saw us and offered help untangling the items and re-bagging them with tissue paper. -speaking of jewelry, we purchased 6 pieces of Kate Spade and Alex and Ani jewelry for $120. Not bad. -on our last visit, my daughter was looking for a spring coat. A very nice Rep spent time to find different choices for my daughter to try on. Great customer service again Every time we are in Nordstrom Rack it is a pleasant experience. Keep up the fantastic and cheerful customer service and you have life long shoppers here. read more

Much of the stuff is a great deal, however, for other things, it's good to know your prices, as there are some items that are normal retail price. Store is clean and organized, however the checkout situation is horrid. There is one checkout line for multiple cashiers, but not enough cashiers. I have found INCREDIBLE stuff in here. The point of these stores is you have to hunt. If you don't enjoy doing that, stick to the main Nordstrom stores. The Rack also accepts returns in store from HauteLook and Nordstrom, so you can find one of a kind designer items if you're lucky. The store is clean and staff is helpful. ***For everyone complaining about the checkout line, all Nordstrom Rack employees with a green shirt on can check you out anywhere in the store. First, let me start off by saying that this review is not a reflection of the store, rather it is a critique of management at this particular Nordstrom Rack location. My sister and I decided to go shopping at Nordstrom Rack, and we both found one item each worth purchasing. My sister found an overly priced Free People jacket (that is a discussion for another day) but justified the purchase because she had a gift card and our mom's employee discount numbers (we have used her discount before with no issue, and have never been reprimanded for using it... but wait, keep reading). For some reason, the young, inexperienced cashier had difficulty completing the transaction. She suggested we try different combinations of our payment methods- like trying the debit card first, then the gift card, then vice versa, and so on. She even told us she has had problems in the past with using her own employee discount numbers on a debit card purchase. After about 20 minutes of trial and error (but mostly error), we realized the transaction was just not going through. My sister then checked her bank account mobile app and saw 12 processing transactions at the Nordstrom Rack, each for $80.00. Unsurprisingly, she was extremely concerned and asked the employee to double check that none of the 12 transactions actually went through on her end. At this juncture, the employee was disappointingly lackadaisical. At one point, she even laughed and said "wow, that is a lot of transactions!" She tried logging into the "back room" (we assume that means final transaction history, but we are unfamiliar with this term). She called over another employee (presumably one of a higher stature) who hopped over without a shoe on and showed zero interest in our dilemma. Finally, the store manager came over to address the situation (here comes the good stuff). The employee and my sister both tried explaining the problem to the store manager Kathy multiple times, though she never seemed to fully understand the severity of the situation. She was then informed that we attempted to use our mom's employee discount on the purchase. She decided to tackle what she believed to be the greater priority and began to lecture us on why we should not be using our mom's employee discount numbers (to be clear, whether or not we are permitted to use the discount is not the point, nor are we even sure if we are or not). She asked us our ages and whether or not we are students (and if our parents file us as dependents on their taxes) as she tried to investigate our potential "wrong doing" (to see if we qualify to use her discount). Extremely frustrated and irritated, I asked that we transition our focus back to the main problem at hand, which was the fact that my sister had 12 processing transactions on her bank account for $80.00 each. Kathy made one final comment about us using our mom's discount, and then went to go get her business card for us. As we left, both Kathy and the employee smiled and said goodbye with little remorse for the anguish they caused. Kathy reprimanded us for using our mom's discount more than she reprimanded her employee for swiping a customer's debit card 12 different times on the same item. They were both unapologetic, and neither took ownership for the poor customer service. This whole affair took over 20 minutes, and my sister still left without her purchase! Ultimately, the young, inexperienced employee made a mistake and should not have swiped my sister's card recklessly as she attempted to rectify the situation and complete the purchase. However, our frustration is more towards the store manager Kathy, whose lack of leadership, customer service, and managerial prowess were reflected in both her employee's obvious lapse of training, but also in her direct actions (or lack thereof). She was very unprofessional, and offered little to no remedy for the situation, despite her concerning need to lecture us on the stupid employee discount. We still love Nordstrom Rack, and do plan on returning in the future. However, if we see that employee or Kathy in the store, you bet we are walking right out! read more

Nordstrom Rack Crossroads at Eatontown is a great place to shop. The employees are very courteous. The shoe department has really nice name brands at the best prices! The kids department is full of quality brands at great deals; as are the rest of the departments, all full of great items for the whole family, as well as for your home. The store is clean and organized, which is a plus! read more

If you are accustomed to Nordstrom style and quality, this is NOT the place for you. It seems they have invited inferior brands into this store hoping they will move. Not so much. There was tons of hype surrounding the opening of this 'rack' branch store, but the designer brands are very few and far between, there's no organization to the store, and the 'junk' brands have more than enough space to entice those clueless enough to shop there. Note: this store is deserving of 1/2 star since they seem to keep their checkout lines moving. read more

I was really excited about the arrival of this store, but my first visit let some of the wind out of the sails. The store is a little too chaotic for me-stuff is just everywhere, and there was no route or pattern I could devise to ensure that I covered all bases and saw everything. Also, finding a checkout station was annoying. They are not in the front of the store-there are several tiny checkout areas scattered around the store, but they are not visible or obvious at all. If you see a lot of people standing in a line, you have to assume that you have found one. They have a tiny little table to check you out on-no normal-sized counter, and there could be three or four sales people crammed over there checking out people at the same time with their hand-held devices. I waited online for at least 12 minutes, when a sales person comes walking over with a customer from the floor, and proceeds to check this individual out despite the line of customers that had been waiting. I was annoyed by that, but just the whole place was not a calm relaxing shopping experience for me. I did find a great pair of boots at a great price, so I suppose the aggravation was sort of worth it - but I can't say I am excited to go back, unfortunately.
