Simply Awful.... I…read moreasked Deansmarine for a PDF of an instruction manual to help me decide which kit to buy. This is the (un-edited) reply I received... ********************** Dear Sir to large to e-mail only print copied suggests you read some of the reviews on the model boat foruns to get a guide to the construction. Regards Deans Marine ********************** My reply... Constructive Feedback Deansmarine needs to hear. Billing Boats, Aeronaut and many of your competitors have taken the small investment in time to: (A) Put decent large Hi-Res images of products on websites - its the 21st Century, everyone has broadband now. (B) Create PDF manuals of instruction kits on websites - or is everything you have, based old photocopies? (C) Learn how to spell and construct a grammatically correct sentence when making replies - Badly written replies from a business look very unprofessional. (D) If your pre-sales support is this bad, then after-sales support is not going to be any better. And (E) Congratulations, you have lost a sale! One star is the minimum possible, otherwise the review would be zero stars. Here was Deansmarine's next reply to attack a potential customer who was simply sharing very reasonable constructive feedback... ********************** Sir 41 yeras "" in business, largets"" range of R C kits in the world, 198 kits in production 150 + hulls and semi kits, export to 32 countries Exhibit in 3 EEC countries Deans Marine private forum with 100s of regula "" members and reviews + other forums such as ModelboatMayhem articles. U tube channel for Deans Marine modellers. and bothered regularly "" with con men who want"" a free instruction book for a e bay special kit ? Congratulations, you have lost a sale! We doubt that you would have the skills to assemble one of our kits ? Learn how to spell and construct a grammatically correct sentence when making replies - Badly written replies from a business look very unprofessional Suggest you learn to read you own ????? This one will get a good laugh from the staff, one of the best for years. Deans Marine ********************** If potential customers are "con men" then who are Deansmarine? Look in the mirror Deansmarine. Anyway, as this was Deansmarine's idea of a good laugh to attempt to insult, then attempt a 'pi$$ing' contest with a potential customer and share it among staff, I thought Deansmarine might like the joke themselves. By the way none of the above is libellous, I have the above email from Deans and if a business such as Deansmarine abuses a member of the public, then its in the public interest to inform the public with an authentic Google review. Deasmarine are also in disagreement with HM Government over UK Law, namely UK Distance Selling Regulations 2000 and Deansmarine openly state that they seek to charge retail customers an illegal 'restocking fee', which is only valid for Business to Business transactions. Retail public are exempt from such charges under UK law. Whoever wrote that email to me, they have my deepest compassion, if they see the world in that way.

Ordered parts which were awful quality. Asked to return and was told would need receipt. Refused to…read morereimburse me despite having the goods, on the basis that they did not accept returns on parts. On talking to other suppliers, it seems this is normal business practice for Ron Dean. They rely on the fact that it is difficult to obtain financial redress. Took details to Police Station where pointing out this is civil matter, Dean should be reported to Action Fraud. So far £ 80.00 paid out for no return by a pensioner. BEWARE
