    Park

A small park is located in the Financial District. It doesn't look like much at first. Norman B. Leventhal Park actually has a lot going on. Benches to relax on, and a fountain is the highlight. This is a good place for getting away from the bustle going on around it. It might be the cleanest park there is, in Boston at least of course. Located in one of the busiest areas, it gets lots who pass through going somewhere. The park is pretty small and there's not a whole lot to see but what's here is pretty nice though. Best thing is a fountain. Some benches are around it. Even if you can't find a bench there's lots of open space on the grass to lay out and maybe read a book. There's also artists and musicians. A good way to relax for a few minutes from the frantic people around here. It has a nice fountain and some entertainment may go on. The park is pretty clean and safe.

Beautiful park! Wonderfully maintained and very clean. A wonderful place to get off your feet for a minute or two in a beautiful environment.

Next time you're busy running to the coffee shop, the gym, the office, the bathroom...take a moment to appreciate this small park in the financial district. It's simple, calming, and beautiful. Best part is that it's free!! Walk through, look up, and enjoy the view. (Jk on the bathroom. If you gotta go, you gotta go.)

The greatest park of all time. This place is spotless, and I am in love with the free cushions in the summer (so you don't get grass stains) and the book cart. The live music is great too, although I can't say anyone actually listens to it. Everyone's too busy people-watching and sunning themselves. It gets fairly crowded in the summer, but there are so many places to sit (on the grass, on benches, on other benches, on the low gray wall surrounding the park) that it never feels claustrophobic. I've never been, but they also have free exercise classes in the morning (at the crack of dawn - oof) and after work.

This a a beautiful downtown Boston mini park. It is kept nearly spotlessly clean - which is really impressive given it's near downtown crossing location. During good weather months there are cushions and books available to use for free. There is also a brand new fountain at the end closest to Fanueil Hall and Sip (a little coffee+ shop) at the other end. And, there is a very nice parking garage right below it. They've also started offering workout classes in the mornings and there are sometimes musicians during lunch hours. Great stuff!

    Gorgeous fall morning here

Total hidden gem. It's gorgeous, well kept up, and lovely all year round.

An adorable park nestled in the Financial District of Boston, Norman B Levanthal Park is the perfect spot to take a minute and enjoy the greenery in the big city. The abundance of trees and fountains makes it a great location even during the hot summer months. It's close proximity to Sip Cafe makes this park a popular place for visitors to enjoy a coffee or tea or even have an outdoor lunch. It's not rare to see picnics happening on the lawn or visitors reading a novel on the benches. Great scenery, a central location, and a beautiful layout, you can't go wrong with a visit to this park.

Teams were out in the water roving, a nice visual Boston cliche that you see in movies, but I got to see for real. You can walk for miles here, till you get to the BU Bridge in parallel with the beautiful houses of Beacon Hill. Nice nature, cute bridges, birds, peaceful spots to stop by and look at the water, enjoy a book or a coffee. Nice locals offered to take our photos and we enjoyed chatted with. Beautiful sculptures, clean restrooms, lots of greenery. Great spot for a picnic also. I am sure it's pretty here at sunset. I am sure they have events here as well. My husband regrets not knowing about it. He went to Boston University and walked the BU Beach and the Bridge, but wasn't aware of this part. That's a good thing too because there is so much space and so much to see here that it can definitely take more than one visit to appreciate its beauty and all that it has to offer. It's known as the oldest public park in the United States and I personally love the way that it's laid out. I wish they still made parks like this. There are wide open lawns with winding paths, people sitting on benches or enjoying picnics on the grass with their dogs. I have seen large events here and even performers as well as family barbecues and groups of people just gathering to spend time together outside. It's nice to just be in this beautiful green space surrounded by the city skyline and historic buildings. Boston Commons is a normal urban park in some ways with a playground for kids, a pond, park benches, a carousel, baseball stadium, and food vendors. It's also a part of the Freedom Trail. There's also a small cemetery in the park. The park is both busy and relaxing. It's smaller than I expected but that may just be because it felt like I went through it quickly. Time flies when you are having fun so maybe distance does too.
