Wouldn't sell me product they had in stock (another employee admitted to me that the manager had gotten it in) because, apparently I don't rank I high enough as a customer. I know I have said carefully curated before, but they are a boutique Smithsonian. They have the specialty products like the Cellar, but without the warehouse size (although this is no dinky shop). Schlitz and European beers abound, absinthe, a plethora of liquors in various and unusual flavors (I had my eye on a pecan pie vodka), an impressive AISLE of liqueurs for the specialty cocktail chemists out there, and of course, wine. Did I mention an entire row of Anchor Steam brews? Like 10 different brews. How did we not know there were so many? Before I bore or scare you any more with such borderline alcoholic excitement over booze, let's just agree there are endless possibilities at University Liquor for a sophisticated evening of imbibing. Yes, so sophisticated you are not saying "getting wasted" or "getting hammered" or even just "drinking." You are imbibing.
