Tip: This towing company works with Toyota Canada Roadside Assistance. If you ever get Massoud to tow your vehicle, you're in good hands.
Yesterday, after work, I was heading home along Denison Street in Markham. I was close to home. My car didn't sound right.
I pulled into a small plaza on Hood Road and backed into a spot. I got out of my car. The rear tire on the driver's side was flat.
From experience, it's best to not drive your vehicle with a flat tire. My first flat tire happened on highway 407. Driving at a higher speed with a flat tire does a ton of damage.
My tire looked deflated. I sort of felt that way waiting for a tow truck, which was the only downside to this review. Yet, I will still rate it five stars because I got the best tow truck driver when help did arrive.
I have Toyota roadside assistance. My experience three years ago with a shredded tire wasn't the best. Lots of improvements have been made procedurally since then.
I called the phone number. You have the option to fill out an issue online or call to speak to a human. I did the latter. Giving the woman my phone number brought up my car's vehicle ID number, model, and colour. Yay!
I was given an estimated time of 58 minutes for Reza, the tow truck driver from Norman Towing, to come. It was 5:38 pm. No Reza.
At nearly 6 pm, Toyota Roadside Assistance texted me for status. I replied with a 3. No service vehicle.
I got another text message. It said that the tow truck would be there in 48 minutes. Horrific!
I immediately got a phone call from another woman from Toyota roadside assistance. I was deflated waiting another hour for hope. She let me know that she got another tow truck driver from Norman Towing to get to me in 13 minutes. So much better!
Norman Towing is based in Thornhill. It's next door to Markham.
I like that Toyota gives you the name of the tow truck driver. Massoud had arrived. He was a man of few words. However, when he spoke, his words were meaningful and made them count.
I said hi to him. He nodded. His first words to me: Don't worry.
The reassurance was nice. He took photos of my vehicle. He then skillfully moved his tow truck and then asked for my key fob. He carefully drove my car onto the ramp of his truck with a ton of care.
He secured my car down. He then said that I could hop into his truck. Climbing up it was not graceful, but I made it!
It was cool being high up in his truck. He skillfully made a left turn onto Hood Road, which isn't exactly a wide street for a long tow truck. He did it with a ton of precision that I appreciated.
It was nice being driven to the dealership. He said that he would unload my car as I spoke to someone at Toyota.
Doors to the service area were closed. I had to go to the used car entrance and got the most helpful woman. She got me the form on an envelope to fill out. My key fob went into the envelope, but I got help from the lone person left in the service area who was equally as helpful.
Massoud came into the used car entrance and handed me my key fob, which was key (punny) to put into the envelope. I thanked him for his help. I made him smile. i wished him a great evening. He did the same in return.
Although the first tow truck driver never showed up and I don't know the reason for his no-show status, Massoud made up for it. He is a quiet, skilled professional and is exceptional at what he does. I am grateful for his help.
