Dr Jones is not a good person. He did NOT even read my chart. My visit lasted 5 minutes and when I was trying to explain something to him, I got 5 words out, he interrupted me with his condescending tone then referred me to an experimental treatment that has already proven not to help with what I need. A good doctor, will spend time with the patients chart, with the patient then get an ultrasound to verify the extent of the damage. He did none of these and made a wild guess about my condition and another guess about treatment that does not accept insurance. Shame on you Doctor Jones. read more

I was previously a patient at the OU Med School Urology program (almost 30 years and with 4 different urologists). I am elderly and could not longer drive to the Med School. I was referred to Dr. David Cochran by my urologist, a member of the urology department at the OU Med School staff. The physician indicated that Dr. Cochran was an outstanding graduate of their program. I have been very pleased with Dr. C both for his detailed discussion and treatment of my condition--prostate cancer, and also by his kindness and personal contact. In addition, throughout he has sought my input into the regimen. The support staff is prompt, competent and helpful. I am most pleased that I was referred to this physician! read more

My husband just drove all the way from Anadarko to see this place and go there just to find out they are no longer taking our insurance. They should have verified with us when I made appointment. Very professional. This was the second time I had been in the office I was treated with speed, expertise and care.

Please be aware that if you're asked for a urine sample at this clinic, you will be charged extra for the urine sample (beyond your copay) even if they don't inform you of such. They will perform 12 urine tests on a single sample and charge you $87 beyond your co-payment (even if your appointment was just to get a referral to physical therapy). If you complain that you didn't consent to pay for 12 urine tests, they will "prematurely" send you to collections. No kidding. I encourage anyone reading this review who has problems with this place to contact the Oklahoma Medical Board at okmedicalboard.org and/or the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office at oklahoma.gov/oag/complaints-tiplines/complaints.html. Absolutely the worst experience with any kind of doctor I have ever been to. Terrible communication the whole way through. Mistakes made by them had me sick in the ER and they said it was not their fault and they did not cover the costs of the ER or refund the procedure I had with them. If I could give no stars I would. I have been dealing with this office since December 21, 2022. I have been lied too, repeatedly by the staff, the Dr. And the Dr's P.a. I have been currently trying to simply get someone to answer their phones for a week, left a voice mail once a day for 6 business days.... so I can get a release to go back to work after surgery. I had to show up in person to their office, and they STILL DENIED giving me my release. Because Dr had left for the day already. The surgery, I was initially told would be a very simple, painless (although uncomfortable) outpatient procedure, was actually a very invasive surgery, that had me in the hospital for 3 days, had a drain coming out of my lower back for 4 days. And had me out of work for 28 days. I sent them my FMLA paperwork in December (when this all started) I followed their instructions and sent it in via email, got ignored for a week, only to get told that, "No, you didnt." When I proved that I had, and they admitted that they had it, from a week earlier, I was told first come, first serve, and that EVEN THOUGH I did as they asked, she didn't "recieve" it till JUST THAT MOMENT. And I would have to wait ANOTHER 7 TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS for it to be completed. This was in December, my employer got it the day AFTER my surgery March 15th... They lied about billing my insurance and instead tried to tell me that I'm not insured. Even had them on a 3 way call with the insurance, and they tried to lie to the insurance company saying they HAD sent it over to them. Cigna cut her off and said, no you didn't. Then tried to demand that i pay the full nearly $1000 bill. When I told the Doc about this he tried to make it my fault, and started yelling and berating me. Post surgery, drain removal. Dr did not give me any warning that he was pulling this hose out of my back, and he is exceptionally lucky that he did not get puked on for it. Told me it was PAINLESS, then proceeded to pull the drain out like it was a RIP cord. It was not painless. At that SAME Dr appointment told me that all of this can be prevented going forward with medication that he is going to prescribe me, make no mistake this is a life threatening condition that could kill me..... he did not and still has not given me the medication. In the process of trying to rid this horrible experience from my life I have been in contact with with my PCP, and when I advised what I have been dealing with, they were NOT surprised, and even said they would request my medical records from them so they can get me my medications, but they almost NEVER see any kind of compliance from this office. Which I found out, is a misdemeanor. And since this is still an ongoing issue, I'm just going to hang on to that little tidbit for later. I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this office. I wouldn't take my EX to this office. If you love yourself or your loved ones AT ALL. Don't go here. This office has caused me and my WHOLE HOME so much upset, anger, fear, frustration, and TEARS. dr. cochran is such a caring man. makes me feel very important. he has a great staff that really cares. i feel very safe in their hands. as a diabetic i have to keep my kidneys healthy and i am confident that with dr. cochran i can do that. read more

A relative made an appointment several weeks ago, to get to the appt after taking off work, to be told he may not take your ins. That you will have to have a referral . Why wasn't that told at the time of making the appointment ? Very unprofessional!! Stay away from that place . read more

I've been to this office twice in the past month and both times were highly dissatisfied but everyone says 'he's the best'... I was greeted with a dirty office with empty coffee cups all over the floor, a bathroom COATED in urine, a waiting room with dried blood on the floor and water damaged ceiling. On top of all this Dr. Dakil is a real jerk when it comes to bedside manner, he didn't even wash his hand or wear gloves during my physical examination. I felt like he was impatient and more interested in talking into his microphone than actually listening to my problem. I'm going to be seeking a second opinion elsewhere. read more

I am 23 years old and started having urinary problems within the last 7 years. I went from doctor to doctor, and finally received a referral to Norman Urology Associates. I started seeing them soon after getting the referral for what was thought to be reoccurring UTIs. They sent me for an MRI which resulted in nothing, and then told me that I actually had Overactive Bladder at the age of 21 (NOT COMMON). I was prescribed medication to ease the symptoms, but there is no CURE for this. Years have gone by, and I recently changed OBGYNs. I explained to my new OBGYN the urinary problems I was having, and he decided while he was doing a lap for endometriosis to go ahead and look at my bladder. He performed the cystoscopy, and found that I do NOT have OAB, I have Interstitial Cystitis. I am so frustrated, because this is a specialty clinic in Urology. I had someone in a completely different field find this problem and give me real options for relief. Each time I went, they were always friendly, so that has nothing to do with the review. I am basing my review on the sole fact that they did not do their due diligence in my case, and unfortunately misdiagnosed me for years. Have been coming here with my elderly parent every couple weeks and have never been asked to wear a mask. Today the girl tried to give us masks and we refused, so we were told we would have to wait in the hallway. I asked since when were masks required and she replied " I've been here 4 months and they have always been required." I told her" we've been here every two weeks and this is the first time we have heard of this requirement." So we went to the hallway to wait. Now there is an older couple in the waiting room with no masks. Double standards!?! This place needs to get their shit together. read more

There is one snotty woman at the front desk. These doctors expect you to wait 15 or 30 minutes or an hour to see them but if you check in 10 minutes late she thinks she can chew you out and belittle you in front of a roomful of people. read more

On Monday Oct. 16th, Dr. Wilson performed prostate surgery on me to reduce the size of my prostate. The surgery seemed to go well, and I was sent home from the hospital with a catheter and a prescrition for antibiotics and pain pills. The catheter was removed in his office the following Wednesday and from that point on this has been the worst, most horrifyingly painful experience of my life. The lady that removed the catheter yanked it out of me like she was starting a lawn mower. If I have ever felt pain so intense, I certainly cannot remember it. I was told at the time that if I had any problems to just call the office and they would address them right away. There was a follow up appoitment that day for 3pm to make sure that I could go to the bathroom ok. I got there at 230 and waited until 330 to even get called back to a room, much less be seen. What a waste of time that was. It would have been much quicker for me to call and let them know that while yes, I could go to the bathroom, it hurt like fire was coming out of me. Again, I was told that I could call if I needed anything. I waited to call until the following Monday (the 23rd). Urination was still very painful, I was out of pain medicine and wanted to know if working was going to make it worse or if I should just tough it out. I explained everything to the lady that answered and she said a nurse would get back to me. I waited all day for the call and finally, at 4pm my phone rang. Unfortunately, I was trying to go to the bathroom when she called and I literally picked up the phone as it went to voice mail. I called back so quickly, the nurse was still talking to my voice mail and after a 5 minute wait I was told that she was with another patient and would call me back. I was so shocked by such an absurd lie that I could not even respond. I didn't get the call back until the next day (at 4pm again) and I was waiting all day again bby the phone. This time I actually talked to the nurse and had to repeat everything I had said when I initially call the morning before. She said she would talk to the doctore and call me back. I waited by the phone all the rest of that day and all day Wednesday and got absolutely nothing. Still giving this place the benefit of the doubt, I assumed that she was busy and would call me back the next morning. I got up early Thursday and waited by the phone until about 10am. At that point I knew that there wasn't going to be a call back and that she probably hadn't even talked to my Doctor FOUR DAYS after my initial call for help. I then called the appointment lady and cancelled my follow up appointment for Nov. 1st and told the lady that answered to please let the nurse know that I was no longer waiting for her call. All I got from the lady on the phone was "oh, ok" My intention was to see if I would eventually heal from the brutality of the catheter removal and if not, to go see another doctor that was not connected with Norman Urology Associates. After a few weeks, I became convinced that something is stuck in there and the pain has not subsided at all (and is sometimes worse). I talked to a few people that I know in the medical profession and they told me that I really should follow up with the doctor that performed the surgery instead of going to someone that was not familiar with my case. I called on Monday Nov. 27th to schedule an appointment and was told that they could not get me in until today, Dec. 6th. I made the appointment for 815am in the hopes that I would not have the standard 30 minutes after my appointment time sitting around in the waiting room. When I was called with my appointment reminder, I found that I wasn't getting in to Dr. Wilson at all, but was scheduled to see the PA. I went in 10 minutes early for my appointment and after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, I was called up to the front so we could discuss my bill in front of everybody and I was shaken down for $100. After waiting 45 minutes to be called back, I went to the desk and told them to cancel my appointment, I was done with them. About 10 minutes after I left, I got a call from the nurse asking if I had left the building for suddenly there was a room available. I told her that no, I was not coming back and that I was going to a different doctor. She then tried to sound all concerned that they needed "to make sure I was healing ok". Now, if this is a concern, why didn't they take care of me when I called for help the week after my surgery? Why wasn't it a concern when I cancelled the initial follow up for Nov. 1st? It feels like Norman Urology Associates is only concerned with getting money from me and my insurance company and once they get the money from the insurance company the patient is on their own. They cannot call me back in a timely fashion, but they can send me text after text about my bill. They cannot let me know that they are behind and there will be a wait for over 45 minutes, but they can sure b read more

Massively overbooked. Waited about 80 minutes past scheduled appointment and gave up. Staff couldn't tell me anything about how much longer or much of anything. Was going to reschedule but next available was well over a month away so said no. Will not be going back to this practice. Would not recommend unless you have nothing better to do. Might be best urologists in Norman, but no good if you can't see them. read more

Absolutely horrible! If I could give this place less than one star I would. As a senior male I am often overwhelmed with an urge to urinate due to an enlarged prostate. Also, I have to get up several times during the night to urinate. This place sent a flyer to my home soliciting business for a procedure called the Euro lift that is supposed to resolve this BPH issue. I had the surgery at an out of pocket cost of over 5k, and my insurance was billed an additional 15k. Needless to say I received zero relief. I advised the PA of this on a follow up visit, and his response was that I would need more implants. So, I'm thinking that as they did not put in enough implants to begin with that an amended surgery would not cost me due to having already paid. Wrong! I was advised that I would have to repeat the surgery for additional implants and would have to pay again. This place will be fortunate if I do not sue them for malpractice, which I may do anyway. read more

My wife and I had been trying to have children for 2 years. We decided to get checked out and try to figure out why nothing was working. I went to Norman urologist and saw dr. jones. They did the analysis and I had to return to get my results. I saw the P.A. When I returned and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. He literally rolled up on his chair and said "well, you can't have kids" he was smiling like he thought it was going to be a relief to me and it was good news. Then the jerk was so oblivious that after about 4 questions of why and is there anything I can do he still didn't get it. I finally asked for a referral to a specialist and he said "Why they can't help you". It took everything I had not to come unglued on him. I will never refer anyone to these jerks. But I am glad to say they were wrong and I have an awesome son. No thanks to them. read more
