Brooklake Community Church is not far from my hotel, and I liked what I read on their website. I could not have been more pleased! Excellent worship, with a great message! And, I think what struck me most, was the pastor's ability to speak to the seeker and the follower alike. So many churches choose to focus on one or the other, but Brooklake has something for both. I encourage you to try it and see for yourself! I hope to attend again next week, and continue to tune in online once I return home.

I spent a long time looking for a church that was God centered and rightly guided and frankly while no church is perfect, this church was perfect for us. We help out with sound, lights and projection on the odd Sunday or we sit in the second row, feel free to come and visit and find my husband and I. I would love to do church with you and introduce you to my pastors Andy, Brian and Abel, who are some of the best spiritual leaders I have had the pleasure of meeting. If you want a church that is perfect, has all the best people, only sings the songs you like and gives sermons that won't offend you or challenge you then this is not the place for you.... However, if you want a place to come, where you will be welcomed and loved regardless of where you are at in your walk with God; if you want a place that will challenge you spiritually to be better, that will give you a place to connect with other believers and to worship with people who want to be here and want to just do life together; then this is the place for you. We don't believe that programs do, nor vision casting/ brain washing, nor pharasaical works. Pastor Rosas seems to be a humble man, and the congregation as well. His wife helped with the children's service, where my 6yo son earned Bible bucks and played air hockey. Worship was not showy or loud. All the more reason to give glory to God and not the worship team. (We used to go to Mars Hill and we wish Marc and his family well. I learned a lot while I was there. I don't think comparing the two is fair).

I wasn't looking to join Northwest initially, but was invited by a long time Family friend. I was very impressed by the Lead Pastor Ben Dixon who is not only a fantastic speaker, but often shares his vulnerabilities when preaching, which is something I appreciate and encourages me that even the pastor has struggled, but he shares how he's overcome! This is one of the most genuine Churches I've ever attended. They have a real heart for Jesus and for helping their community. There aren't enough good things I can say about Northwest. The only challenge is that it's a fairly large Church, so if you want to get to know people, you will need to get involved. After joining the Church you can volunteer, or participate in one of the many opportunities such as Marriage classes, freedom in Christ, Outreach & missionary etc. Once I volunteered to be a Counselor at their kids camp, I started to know more people and that helped me greatly. I had been attending for over a year at that point, and hadn't made many friends. I hope this helps you make your decision to visit or give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

Our outreach ministries are many! We care for our homebound and nursing and memory care facilities and distribute the Eucharist to them. We are a holy community that has a strong faith and introduces those looking forward to joining the best parish ever!! Our priests are wonderful and the lessons they teach and preach are down to earth and ones you will remember!! They are lively and entertaining! This is one of our 3 parishes that make up this community at All Saints!! There is St. Martins in Fife and Sacred Heart in Tacoma! Please come to any of these parishes and join us! Personally i like the difference. You go to service for 1 hour and your free. Growing up in the Baptist sector i attended. It started with Sunday School at 9 am. 1st service over at 1pm. Came back again for 3 hours. Ladies fainting, claiming the Holy Ghost has taken over their bodies, people speaking in tongues. A very unique Church. Everyone with the holy ghost and could speak in tongues Hah Hah. After we lifted them and fanned their bodies. Later that nite we were released. I ran and hide. I Really, disliked attending Church at a younger age. These new age Christian places, you can worship and still watch the Cowboys or even the Seahawks.

Very soon, I was greeted by every person I encountered, and the people at the church made me feel very welcomed. On Sunday, they have a full service espresso bar, named Eternal Perks. It's certainly a hit with everyone. The pastor, Jeff MacClurg is really good at bringing the Bible to us every Sunday. Pastor Jeff is very accessible, he greets everyone when the church gathers on Sunday, but you can meet with him anytime, as his door is truly open. As the leader of this church he is a man who has very high expectations of his staff and the leaders at the church. There is a fantastic outreach at the Journey Church for the youth of any age. A lovely new program for the 3 and older kids has begun at Journey Church. If you want pre-school for your child, check these folks out, they are very committed. They also offer specific programs for all ages and have a great middle school through high school program. The outreach for this age group often includes a mission trip where the youth venture out and make a difference by building homes, schools, or church facilities, often in Mexico. But, there is so much more available, contact Pastor Tim, he's just the nicest of men. His heart seems to be all about the youth of this church, what more could we ask? I could go on and on about my experience, so far, at this church. I enjoy the adult Sunday School lessons. The leaders are so knowledgeable, many of the instructors hold high level degrees, Doctorate level degrees in various studies, and thier knowledge of the Bible is vast. But, don't let that intimidate you, they are funny and they make learning about the Bible an activity not to be missed. I am amazed every week by the truly wonderful lessons they offer. Try this Church out, in one year I've learned so much and I've had a terrific adventure. You will find accessible leaders and teachers and really wonderful folks attending. Tell someone that you are new to the church and you too will be enveloped by friendly people ready to help you on your journey, whatever it might be.
