But I don't mind it so much at night when it is nearly empty. The shop pharmacy and its long opening hours ought to be advertised more.

It certainly comes in very handy for those times when you realise you are short of something for a recipe but can't be bothered trekking all the way to the supermarket! They have a good selection of magazines as well and also a wide range of greetings cards. There is a hot food selection which has some tasty treats including things like samosas. It has all the facilities you would hope for in a local shop, a good supply of grocery items from bread to milk, greeting cards to a good selection of daily newspapers. It also has a coffee machine, a National Lottery facility, as well as a sizeable selection of snacks like chocolate, crisps, sandwiches and drinks, some on a very favourable meal deal. One the highlights for me personally though is in the far corner of the shop, they make the own homemade rolls and breakfast items, they will even make them to order. Their BLT would rival many dedicated sandwich shops and cafes, a truly great sandwich, packed with flavour. The staff are very efficient, as well as being friendly, and queues move fast. There is a good selection of newspapers and magazines, cold drinks, ice creams, sweets and assorted grocery items. You could picnic from this shop alone, although I'd recommend a sandwich from the French bakery over the road topped up with drinks and snacks here. In addition to the varied stock here, there are usually some bargains: 1.5 litre bottles of Diet Pepsi for 99p last time we visited. Highly recommended. It says something about the range and diversity of goods here that the entire village seemed to be in the store when Tesco was closed for refurbishment.

The pros are that if you need a pint of milk, snacks or general essentials then you are in luck. The place stays open until about 8pm too when other stores are closed. Overall the owners could be friendlier and if redecorated would be a better place.

They always have offers on like 3 for 2 or buy one get one free so it gives you more value for money than the other shops. They could do with more of a range of baby products in my opinion and maybe more offers on them too but on a whole it's a great supermarket!
