The first thing that got my attention about iDance was that it was in English...There are a lot of…read moresalsa lessons around Stockholm but to my knowledge they are all in Swedish unless you ask if they will do it in English on a class by class basis. Not that it's impossible to figure out what's going on in the context of dancing, but it does add an added layer of processing if it's not your native language (and you're not very good to begin with [at Salsa OR Swedish]). But the thing that sold me was absolutely Andreas' personality and teaching style. I first took a lesson during one of the free drop-in weeks for bachata which happens a few times during the year and really enjoyed the class. It was A) fun! B) funny! (different words Swedes ;). Andreas has an awesome teaching style that really takes the stress out of dancing and makes it easy to laugh at yourself, which is essential if you are like me and hate being bad at things. He's also a pretty funny guy leading the class. The other great thing about this school is how many different locations it is taught in! North Stockholm, Central Stockholm, Söder -- there are classes everywhere, and at all sorts of hours! They also seem to remember what it's like to be a beginner. The most defeating part for me with other schools has been taking a lesson and then trying to practice in the socials with the regulars. Of course some people are helpful and most are understanding but it's not necessarily the best situation to learn when you're starting and for me it stopped being fun at that point. iDance has come up with the idea of holding practice sessions for the students in the beginners courses with slow tempo songs and cheap entrance. Awesome idea. Pretty clear they really want you to have the opportunity to succeed. It's a big group of people, so if you're expecting individual attention that's not really how this style of teaching works. It's all about follow the leader and figuring things out with your classmates. I'm not in any position to judge the technical aspects of his teaching style or whether what I'm learning follows this or that style of Salsa. Every time I go to the weekly class I smile and laugh and so does everyone else. That's 5 stars in my book. Recommended!

When I asked I wanted a selection of various items, she recommended I get the Beb'Ainetu--the selection of spinach, curried potato, yellow lentil curry, lamb curry and chicken curry with egg on the Injera (think tangy, fluffy-spongy pancake) was irresistable. Yes, the food takes a while to emerge. So treat yourself to a languid meal and savor the love with which this spectacular food is made. Here's a pro tip: eat ONLY with your right hand and fingertips. Do not lick your fingers. Flick excess food and sauce back onto your platter. Pick up some Injera with your fingers then tear it with 1 hand by grasping it between thumb and fingers and pushing away with index finger. Then plop the piece on pancake on the food you desire to pick it up.

Background Eritrean music makes the mood mellow. When I visited, the restaurant was packed with mostly Eritreans which is a good thing since it shows the authenticity of the food. I had issues communicating with the hostess who could not understand clearly my American English. I was lucky there was a table left and was seated quickly. The menu is in Swedish. I used the Yelp app to view the reviews, tips, and pictures of the food. I ended up trying the lamb with injera. It took a while to get it, but when I did, it was God sent! Be prepared to use ur fingers. They also have a board by the bar with all the specials for the day. Great food overall. I'll come and check this place out again.

Not that you'll find crazy rides but there's entertainment for kids with some rides, plus not to mention the lounging areas, the animals, and so much more. Came here walking from our hotel , you can catch a bus, and it was just beautiful. I highly recommend a visit. This can be an almost all day thing or just come for a few hours like we didn't.

After entering we decided to walk the path up to the park instead of buying a ticket for the funicular. It took roughly 10 minutes on a slight incline. Skansen was huge and does take time to go from place to place. Initially we wandered from building to building and many were not staffed or only viewable from the outside. While it was interesting to read the posted signs it wasn't too interesting. At the Oktorp farmstead, we finally found the first staffed location and got to see and learn about dying of yarn. Here we also learned which buildings were staffed and from that point forward gave us a plan of how to tackle Skansen and made the visit much more enjoyable. We had a great conversation about politics in the People's House which was very appropriate and compared it against present day in both our countries. Many parallels. We learned more about typical farm life in the Skane Farmstead while stooping low inside the house and that led to the Delsbo Farmstead. Delsbo was quite the opposite as it was ornately decorated with detailed wall paintings paid for by the well to do family per the staff. I highly encourage anyone visiting to engage with the staff as they were very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the period or activities that went on in that particular farmstead, building, church, etc. We skipped seeing all the animals they kept towards the back of Skansen as well as the aquarium. Overall spent over 2 hours here and likely could've spent more if more buildings were staffed and open. Glad the weather held throughout our visit.
