I've dealt with this company in the past. I question Amazon as to why they would use this dishonest, deceitful, non dependable company. Surely they must've received numerous complaints. They gave me an 11-11 window. They never showed up. No call, text or even a smoke signal. I got a robo call the next day to comfirm my delivery the day. They showed up. Moved my trash can to the middle of the street and by the way left it there. When the TV arrived, I asked them to wait while I inspected it. The little short one said it was against company policy. Once i opened the package they were not responsible to take it back. That really didnt sit well wjth me because Amazon's delivery recommendation is to check your package while yhe delivery personnel are there. My instincts were on ten at this point. I knew something was wrong. When someone goes out their way to try and convince you that their policy is set in stone, trust, they're lying. We took the package upstairs to the great room. I opened it and not to my surprise the TV got trashed. Of course i immediately called Amazon and they set up a replacement. If this company is scheduled to deliver your goods, i highly recommend you cancel it, contact Amazon and have them change the company. These people are the worst ever. Don't trust them. My TV had to have been damaged prior to them packing it and the delivery driver knew it. I'm speculating on that part, but i honestly believe that that's what happened. This company is responsible, courteous, and careful with deliveries. I have had more than a single delivery and each went well after contact with the local company. I am an Amazon shopper, so I am not posting against Amazon. But, any freight shipping communication issues have been through the automated tracking Amazon system which does not do well with these types of deliveries. Don't know what the reviews are about saying hard to contact. I called and they answered on the second ring of the phone. Also item delivered on time (earlier side of the time frame given only 18 minutes into it) and in great condition. Plus it was placed exactly where I asked it to be left. I must admit I was slightly skeptical after reading the reviews on here but can confidently say as long as your item was delivered in good condition to Norris you will get it in the same condition they received it. read more

Terrible! I had to change my schedule to be at home during the scheduled delivery time. Item was delivered on time, but the delivery was to be inside doorway, but was dumped on front porch and delivery personel left. No knock. I was never more than 15' from door. The item was a treadmill. I had to call a neighbor to help me get it in the door. This was an Amazon order. I called Amazon and filed a complaint. I would never recommend Norris Freight service for any type of deliveries. They advertise as a white glove service, they are anything but that. I ordered a mattress and boxspring from Saatva, which was fairly expensive. Norris had issues with delivery times and dates so I literally had to reschedule 3 different times to receive my initial delivery. Upon delivery my boxspring was damaged. Black marks on both sides due to dragging. I reached out to Saatva to get a replacement and once again Norris was a complete let down. Another 3 tries and on the 4th I received my boxspring replacement. As I unwrapped the covering once again it was damaged. This time worse than the last with a nice little rip in the side. I have reached back out to Saatva and asked them to send a replacement and to use a different delivery service this time. I also looked at other reviews and they were all one star. Please, BEWARE of this company. They have no respect for your time or the merchandise you are having delivered. Nor do they care to hear about it. Good luck! And Norris, shame on you. The absolute worst delivery company! I ordered goods from Pier 1 and this is who is contracted throughout the SC region for delivery. Delivery during the first scheduled day did not happen. Was told all would arrive during a 4 hour window. 1 hour past that window the driver called to say, 'my day is done, I won't be there'. 2nd delivery scheduled several days later and told a 4 hour window. Goods arrived 4 hours past they window! A few things to note 1. I called the office many times and either, no answer, no returned call, many many excuses or just plain I do not know or I can't tell you. 2. The delivery men were very nice. I commented to them about their management and wished them well on finding a new job. He said several reasons why he couldn't leave with the main being 'I haven't been paid for 5 weeks'! read more

I ordered a mattress and box springs from Kohls. It was to delivered by Ryders. Ryders subleted to Norris freight. I was given a date of 12/7. On 12/7 I was told they did not have my merchandise so they would call me in 24 to 48 hours. I didn't receive a call. I tried for 3 days to reach them with no answer and the mailbox full. I was then told 12/14. On 12/14 I called and was told it would not be delivered that day. It was finally delivered on 12/19. I only received the mattress. I was told they could not locate the box springs. After several days searching I was told they couldn't locate. They showed had received but couldn't find and would need to reorder. I finally called Kohls and was told box springs were no longer available They would need to cancel my order and pick up the mattress. read more

BEWARE OF THESE GUYS............................................ I purchased a Massage Chair by Ootori,3D for my Mom "Dorothy Mandeville" and Norris freight delivered it to my Moms home this morning. She is a recent widow, all alone and is 78 years old. The two guys were very rude stating that they would not take the chair which is approximately 250 lbs in the house. My mom called me letting me know about this so I got on the phone with them and they still refused. The lead guy which is in the picture below called his boss and then after getting off the call they began to take the chair out of the box throwing trash on the ground etc. and rolled the chair inside the front door leaving it upside down right inside the front door... needless to say later that day when I got there and seen the trash left as it is in the pictures and the chair upside down in the front door I am ready to bite nails in half. read more

I ordered a Echelon Treadmill that was suppose to be delivered by Norris Freight service today. I received a text message and went to the link to confirm delivery date and time of 1.28.22 between 1-3 pm. Around 1:30pm today I called to see if there was a defined delivery time. I was told I was not on the delivery scheduled today. Then I was told that "they" had a software update and it dropped a lot of deliveries for today. She told me I was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 1, 2022 between 1-3. I had told the lady I could not do that as I would not be home on that day. I made special preparations for this delivery and confirm the date and time. It's not MY problem that they had software issues. I also told her it was unprofessional to have me sitting her waiting all day and I did not even get a call to know that the treadmill would arrive. The lady was acted as if "oh well" take it or leave it on the phone. I asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Melissa who says she is a the account manager for Echelon deliveries. She also while nice seemed very much clueless. She told me about how the drivers are supposed to give her their papers and let her know when they can not deliver. She was not aware that I was overlooked. Then she told me that they had plans to run a Saturday delivery to Charleston, however, we are expecting a winter storm so that has been canceled. She offered me Monday, January 31st between 1-3pm. However, she then went on to tell me that the driver had to go to Kiawah Island and had 5 deliveries in Charleston and may not get to me until between 6-8 pm. Then she went on to tell me she was going to see if she could get me delivered by one of their "best" delivery crews. I then started reading the customer reviews on this company and spoke with Echelon. After seeing all the times they no-showed and pulled the same foolishness in the past I determined it was best to cancel this delivery. Request a refund of my money. Norris has no clue about customer service or what "white glove service" means. It means you communicate with your customer and follow through. I would not recommend this Norris Freight service and if this is the only delivery service for Echelon Fitness equipment for the state of South Carolina I would not recommend them either and say look elsewhere. Now to wait to get my nearly $2k refund. I will be contacting the BBB and the state's Attorney if I get any more pushback from either of these companies. read more

I ordered a generator through Amazon. Norris called a day ahead and had me confirm delivery for 8 AM - 10 AM. They didn't come, so I waited all day. Then at 2 PM I called their office and was told they wouldn't be delivering untul between 5 and 6. I waited all day expecting some kind of call, but nothing came. Good afternoon to my fellow consumers. I strongly advise against having this company deliver anything for you. They are a third party do they would deliver products form some of the major chains. I implore you to question who the delivery service will be for your product when you make your purchase. This will save you a ton of aggravation. You can never reach them on the phone. They don't care about your time. They will deliver the product when they feel like it. The deliver guys were lazy and had extremely poor customer service skills. I had delivery of a TV scheduled today between 3-6pm, through Amazon. I get a call at 12:45 from the delivery driver that states he's 30 minutes from my house with my TV. I explained that my husband and I both work and that's why I scheduled the window of 3 to 6. He said "Well, unfortunately we had 3 customers cancel on us today so you're the next delivery..."So once again I repeated that there was a reason I chose the delivery window I did. He said "I can wait 15 minutes when I get there, but no more than that, the warehouse makes me leave after that". So, being that today was the best available day to get the TV, I called my husband to see if he could make it work. He said he would leave in the next 10 minutes, but it's a 25 minute drive home. I said no worries, the driver said he's 30 minutes away so you have time. So I call the driver back to tell him that my husband is on the way and he says to me "We couldn't find any stores to stop at on the way, so we're pulling up at your house now. By this point I'm furious, so I asked for the number of the supervisor at the warehouse. Melissa answered and said she spoke with the girl that handles these contracts and can't change our delivery time...So I asked to speak to someone else that could help me. I was put on hold and she never returned. So I call the driver back to see if he's going to wait the extra time for my husband. He said he couldn't wait but he could leave it on the porch. I explained I didn't want it damaged or stolen from my porch. So his response is "You've got some neighbors outside, I'm sure they'll watch it but it doesn't look like they speak English". They are wonderful neighbors,, and they speak better English than he does!!! So then he says to leave it on the porch I have to provide a signature waiver so I need to call the office back for that. So I called the office back twice and no one answered...I then called my neighbor (since he told me they were outside) and asked if she could go sign for my delivery so I didn't have to reschedule delivery with these horrible people. She said she would...She added, I thought they were coming to do yard work. They're driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer!! So then my neighbor calls me back to say the driver was very rude to her, because he had to wait. He said "We could have taken care of this 30 minutes ago!!" Not my first time with Norris Freight Service. Each time, issues with delivery dates. Yesterday, I had a confirmed scheduled delivery. Later, after talking off work for this, the online status changed delivery to Monday. No phone call. When I called, at first they said the delivery truck broke down. This is the same sob story I got last time. When I asked if there were more delivery trucks, I was put on hold for 10 minutes. The lady came back on the phone and said that it wasn't because of a truck broke down, it was a bomb threat. The "supervisor" confirmed with me that the Bomb that was in the building. The trucks are packed in advance. How does that effect the truck already packed, the "supervisor" had no answer for me. She just said that it won't be delivered today. I don't want to make this too long, but the updates to my delivery changed constantly throughout the day. Now I got a text with Monday's date, but it won't let me confirm. I had a great experience with this company, fortunately. They called me on a Friday to schedule the delivery for Monday. I missed the call and was able to call right back and get an answer. It was scheduled for Monday. Monday came around and after reading the bad reviews of this company I started to worry as it was almost 4pm. So I called them. Got an answer right away. They were able to tell me that my bed was still set for delivery. The delivery men called me when they were about 15 minutes away. They arrived and set my bed outside for me (they were unable to come in and set it up do to the Covid-19) however they left the bed they were both very friendly.
