Guitars is located in an old 3-story dark brick building. It was thoroughly renovated in order to…read morehost "Guitars - The Museum" which is the worlds largest and most expensive collection of guitars valued to several hundred millions. On the top floor, underneath the tilted white ceiling and grey/black interior decoration is Guitars - The Restaurant. I went here with two close friends one evening for some casual celebration. The ambience is nice paired with more than adequate food. I had fried mozzarella with marinated vegetables as a starter together with a nicely peired white wine. For main I had the veal served with bacon, onion, mushrooms and potato gratin with cheddar and capers. Great combination of flavors that was satisfying. For desserts I must say they both stumble and falter. Nothing really appealed to me particularly much but I settled with an apple pie served in a jar. It was....ok, I guess. Flavorsome but nothing that stood out. So in all, I really like the environment, the food is ok (think up-scaled pub-food where the quality doesn't justify the price), but the big let-down is the waiter and serving staff. Too slow, not attentive when they need to be and this place could definitely do with a bit sharper staff, as that would also sharpen my grade. Two knives out of five in total, but for the food alone I'd throw an extra knife on the wall.

If you are into guitars this is a MUST VISIT. We got really lucky the first time I went to the museum, it was supposed to be closed for an event, but as it had not started yet and we we're in town for only a few days, they let us in AND provided us with a personal guide to show us around. The guy really knew his guitars and we had a blast for almost an hour seeing all the rare guitars and chatting to the guy about history and the tech. Amazing! I have also visited the bar quite a few times for beers with friends, making use of the outdoor seating when warmer and inside when colder. It's a nice atmosphere, decent music playing but it is a bit pricey. Haven't eaten anything but peanuts here, so I can't speak for their food service. Personally i like the mixed gender bathroom situation, feels very gender equality Swedish, but I'm sure that throws some visitors off.

Guitars - Endast 99st Flying V tillverkades ursprungligen, och två av dessa gitarrer finner ni här på Guitars- The Museum. Det är galet!
