Copenhagen has so many delicious restaurants and this is among our favorites. It is in a beautiful location and has a cool charming basement vibe with bottles of aquavit marinating with different seasonal blends scattered all over the restaurant. We tried the special 3 course meal, which included picking two smorrebrod (open-faced sandwiches), which are paired with their home-brewed aquavit and dessert. I tried the spiced herring which had the best blend of flavors and a small amount of miso, which gave it the umami (essence of deliciousness) flavor. Now I am not a big fan of herring, but was pleasantly surprised. The entire meal was 10/10. The only reason why it isn't a full five stars is that we waited for a long time and they forgot the dessert. After we said something, we didn't have enough time to stick around and wait for them to make it. Pro-tip: In Denmark, you need to make reservations for the majority of restaurants for lunches and dinners. So book at least the day in advance to get seated here.

Sunday dinner at 7 pm - 4 courses dinner with wine pairing Service: attentive Ambiance: casual, the restaurant is located at the basement level, with no air-con, no fan, buds with flies around Pri e: it's ok Food quality: above my expectations, like the fish dish very much, great selection for the wine pairing Remarks: they charged water for 25 Kronos per person !!!

We opted out for four courses food experience with juice pairing - and weren't disappointed! The restaurant offered traditional Danish dishes with a twist. What a twist! Have never thought that potato salad can be so exciting! Each dish boasted complex combination of flavours, with ingredients complementing each other and making the food sensations more intense. The waiter describes each dish when it's being served, and also pours the sauce. The place itself is intimate and cosy, and make sure you book in advance on Friday/Saturday evenings as it's very popular!

Definitely on the pricier side, but a great place for upscale Danish food in the heart of Copenhagen. The service was excellent, and the presentation of all the food was top notch. I went for lunch and got the potato smorrebrod and it was excellent!

Amazing 4 course meal. Loved that our server shared details of each course when they served it. Very cute and cozy downstairs room. Courses- Beef tartare- highlight!! Fried scallop with peas and andouille sausage Baked cod with asparagus and truffle sauce Sorbe

And when a snafu happened delaying our cocktails, they were immediately comped. We didn't ask or act annoyed in any way, it was just done. The brown butter crab starter was a delightful surprise of delicious foam & we were glad to have spoons to scoop up every bite. My husband ordered the veal special & it was divine. I got the signature schnitzel & was so impressed by the perfectly cooked, high-quality pork. The horseradish cream was so light & absolute perfection. We ordered the ice cocktail for dessert and the sorbet was silky. The lemon verbena gin sauce was the perfect complement. An absolutely lovely experience.

It's located near canals, a museum, and several bustling restaurants. It's in the original Noma space, so most customers have high expectations. Atmosphere: The interior is Nordic chic, rustic and elegant. Even though we had a reservation, we were seated at a long table with other guests. At the time we were there, the angle of the sun hit me right in the eyes and I had trouble reading the menu and seeing for a few minutes. Their curtains are sheer, so they didn't help. The captain apologized, and said there was nothing he could do. Service: we were seated and given drinks menus. Everyone around us was served water, given menus and a description of what was available. Finally, a server came by to take our order, apologized for us not having menus nor water. I requested tap water, so I was surprised to be charged 30krone per carafe. Food: Every item shows technical proficiency and attention to detail. We ordered the schnitzel. It came with a small serving of fresh peas, cream, horseradish and a brown butter sauce. It was delicious. I would have liked more horseradish and peas. The sautéed leeks were served with salad greens and hard to cut. They tasted fine, but a sharper knife would have been appreciated; through our meal, no one came by. We also tried the hake. It looked small, but was very filling.

The owners have a serious culinary pedigree, and don't disappoint. I've been here a few times with my mother and some friends, respectively and had seriously satisfying meals every time. Love the chèvre chaud, an old favorite, and the steak with bearnaise is always grilled to absolute juicy perfection. The sleeper hit is the salad; I just really really love a well made salad which is super simple and crunchy but with that thick and tangy mustard vinaigrette that complements everything on the plate. I haven't yet tried all the desserts, since I always go for the crème brûlée. So far I've had it paired with different sorbets, super yummy and true to the fruits, but alas I'm a purist, and really don't want anything cold and tangy interfering with my favorite pudding. Luckily my companions have been helpful in not letting anything go to waste. :) If you're ever in downtown CPH and hungry, keep this place in mind. They even have French "pizza" if you just need a quick bite during your lunch break. The staff are all super friendly and seem to genuinely love having you there. Very un-Danish in that respect. ;)
