I order books and then head over to pick up my selection and browse some more. Very efficient. I don't know about you however some of the HUGE libraries, I feel overwhelmed when selecting my book. That wont happen here Did I mention - it's clean and patrons were polite? The building is open with gorgeous views of the mountains. I know other yelpers have mentioned Starbucks, but there is also William Grassie Wine tasting room next door. :) What better way to enjoy an afternoon than a nice glass of wine with a good book. Will try to snap a few pics next time I'm there.

Don't take advantage of it, ya'll, I mean don't take advantage of it in a bad way - we need this to stay; and the parking lot is gigantic. I had no idea the last time I came. This time I delved down below and yikes! It was almost a little scary lol. Gigantic tunnel of parking - and crazily busy all of the sudden as Sunday got later - maybe students crash studying for Monday. Okay enough about the parking. Love the art, both the public and the student art pasted inside. Meeting spaces, event space. The library itself is down the rather cavernous hallway - the library itself feels pretty gigantic; enjoyed browsing the suggested new titles on offer. The used book store appendage outside the main doors was open this time around during my visit. I wish they took more than just cash or check. Could not partake : ( I saw tons of appealing books and also they had puzzles and puzzle books. A great place to spend a couple of hours in Bellevue.

The staff is always helpful and friendly when I have questions or need help. It's also always warm inside the library which is nice for those looking for a warm place to sit and read or charge a phone. I love the upstairs area where there are more computers and printers and plenty of comfy seating! I always find myself returning to this library or going out of my way to stop by here so I definitely do recommend!

This turned out to be very complicated-not straightforward at all. There was a young man working at the library who helped me. He was very patient and knowledgeable. Friday morning: crazy loud kids, ignorant parents, invisible staff…read moreToday was a bit of a shocker: after a few quiet minutes, multiple moms with their "little angels" arrived and the library turned into a crazy loud daycare center. While the moms slurped their lattes and exchanged the latest celeb gossip, the kids were running around, played hide and seek and were crazy loud. Don't get me wrong: kids in libraries is a wonderful thing but whatever happened to good parenting or librarians enforcing a basic standard of behavior? Going forward I'll go to the Issaquah library instead. It's a shame because the Fall City library has a good selection of books and mags, they have exhibitions from the Fall City Historical Society and they are perfectly located next to Aroma Coffee. But with librarians (and parents!) not doing their job this place is going downhill :(

During that time, you could place your books on hold and schedule a pick up time. My favorite part was that I could add a 'surprise bag' of books for my toddler, and they would set aside 10 awesome selections. Such a time saver! Granted, it's not the biggest branch, but I can always have any book sent here and held for pick up if I don't mind waiting. Overall, an awesome library!

I'm not a fan of parking garages. The library itself is spacious and very open. The high ceilings and bright natural lights greet you as you walk through the door. There are plenty of rooms for studying/conferences. The librarian is so helpful. There isn't enough self checkout computers. Also, they close early on the weekdays (I think 5pm). Bummed that they don't have handy little paper/pencils to jot the codes (location) down near the lib catalogs. My old dementia brain can't remember anything. Pro tip: if you need a particular book, it's better just to put it on hold. Said that it was available but couldn't find it.

I have to say, the staff at this library set the bar HIGH for KCLS - engaging my children (even the shy one glued to my leg) in what they like to read, finding books for them that they haven't read before but match some of their interests and validating their opinions about the books they were reading. They also ran a tight ship organizing a popular summer lunch program. On this particular day, there weren't enough bag lunches for the number of people who came - but they scrambled and arranged for more. And what's especially cool about the King County Library System is…read morethat you can go to any branch within the KCLS system and check out and return items, even if it's not your primary branch. It's convenient to access the different KCLS branches if in the area, so when we were in Issaquah, I decided to check out what this library had to offer. Located on Front Street in Issaquah the branch is a good size for services and such. It's smaller than my primary branch, but is larger than other ones I've been to. There was a large meeting space right by the entrance, that you can reserve for free. Parking on Front Street is pretty easy to find; however, I did see a parking lot behind the library. There was also a Friend Shop where you can purchase used books for two bucks or so. And though it's not in a separate room, it's located in the entrance way of the building and has an honor system where you put your money in the cashbox. There seemed to be plenty of space for tables and chairs spread out throughout the library for lounging, in addition to a couple study rooms. Book selection was average, but saw that the DVD selection had a better assortment of TV shows than my Bellevue branch. It's nice to know that when in Issaquah I can check out this location for what it may offer and utilize the same services that I can at my primary branch.

This library is large! I'm a nerd and love going to the library. There is a lot of space to work,…read morestudy and borrow a computer, printer, scanner/fax if needed. You are allowed so many pages to print for free weekly up to a certain amount in b&w or color. My printer died, and I don't have the funds right now to get a new one, so the library has been a saving grace for me. I also have had to use the scanner/fax option to get things in, and it's really a blessing, considering it is 50 cents a page to do this at FedEx Kinkos and it's free at the library.

At 6:01 pm, as people were still exiting, i asked to use the library restroom. They said "no, the library is closed". I could see there were still people inside. But no, one minute past and i'm out of luck. I can't comment about the library in general, but the two workers who said no to restroom access one minute after closing have no discretion/flexiblity/humanity/compassion.
