Don't miss the entrance! That's also where you go to return books. They have a great kids section with its own kid restroom! A young mom must have. They have a cute room for a monthly arts and craft area...this month it's a pretend ice cream shop. Maybe we go here too often but the selection of young kid books isn't as robust. They also always have a monthly scavenger hunt for the kiddos with a sticker surprise. They also have a cool magna-tiles light up table. And a cute check out area in the kids section. Summer hours on the weekends are not as frequent as the winter due to the nice weather.

That was a technique that needs a lot of practice. The weaving was pretty easy. The instructor was well prepared and knowledgable of the craft. Anna was from the textile center in Minneapolis. These classes are funded by the legacy fund through the state. They are great classes at your local libraries. You do need to register before going to the class. When I got my card after moving to Hudson, I knew life would get better and it did. Staff was friendly from the get go but during the lockdown, their calls and efforts to get me my books is even more appreciated. You know they are working overtime for what is not the world's highest paying job. The building is nice although I don't know when I'll next get in it. My books now come available for pick up in a brown paper sack...May you always be open HPL, may your staff stay healthy and thanks for all you do!

Lots of fun and interactive toys for them and most importantly a bathroom in the kids section when they need to go! Great place to go on a snowy or rainy day.
