We spent 2 nights here and loved our site, the deck over the rushing stream was a perfect place to sip coffee in the mornings and whiskey in the evenings. The dog park gave our pup the chance to run free, the clean bathhouses gave us a place to freshen up and the location gave us the ability to explore all Asheville had to offer, climb to the top of Mount Mitchell (the highest point East of the Mississippi) and just enjoy the surroundings. Our site had a full hook up, electric and water (even with temps in the low 20's at night), we had a fire ring (or square), a picnic table perched on the deck, cantilevered over the stream, and lovely (back-in) site with privacy and shade. We can't wait to come back.

Very nice play area for the kids, nice bathroom facilities, a great group pavilion with a fireplace & TV, and a well equipped camp store. The park is near the Blue Ridge Parkway and several nice towns with craft galleries. Many of the guests told me they had been coming for YEARS. There is nice landscaping between spaces and several of the spaces had decks over the trout stream. This RV Park has added many acres next door and is expanding. I look forward to returning to some of the friendliest staff!!

They did not disappoint. We arrived after hours but they were still there. Super nice folks. Since we were just overnighting they gave us a choice to use the pull in spots next to the RC Airport. Great fun watching the planes fly. Very quiet and the creek was so peaceful sounding. The sites are all crushed rock. Most are level or close to it. Some of the campsites in the tree-line on the far end of the meadow are not level and require blocks but these mostly look like seasonal campers. Very clean campground. They have plenty of firewood available at the store. In addition to the creek which has two designated swimming holes there is also a frisbee golf course as well as a pickleball court. We will make this our usual stop on the way out now. Loved it.

Pack a cooler and spend a weekend in the great outdoors. In town there is rafting, tubing, and the hot mineral springs. There are a couple of restaurants and pubs too. Although town is just 10 minutes away, once you get here you won't want to leave. Owners Ken and Amy are the most hospitable people you will ever meet. They start a campfire on Friday and nights at the main house and it doesn't go out til Monday morning. Bring your guitars and sit around with them, or have your own fire at your private cabin. The cabins are rustic and mountain themed. You will enjoy the silence of a night of camping with the luxuries of a bed, hot running water, electricity, and a nice shower. They even have sweet tea in the fridge for you when you arrive!

The hiking trails weren't even open for use (was told ownership is "working out the details" whatever that means). The lake was NASTY and beach a disaster. The sites were level and spacious but full of weeds and needed fresh gravel. Roads in were full of pot holes and ill maintained. It just felt very tired and needed some love and for the price we paid, I don't think it was worth it.

The traffic isn't awful but if seclusion is your goal you may want to pick one of the spots away from the creek. I loved the hike down to our camp on the creek but if you pack heavy or are out of shape you don't want to attempt it down there. The outdoor showers are amazing and the campfire get together in the evenings at the office is really cool! I'll definitely be back someday!

She and the venue were the perfect fit for us. We were looking for a unique venue that celebrated our love of nature and allowed the celebration to continue into the night. Having our guests stay and camp with us in tents and the retro campers made the entire experience even more special. With all the effort and planning that goes into a wedding, one of our priorities was that the celebration didn't feel like it ended too soon. Charlene gave us incredible vendor recommendations and put us at ease countless times with her knowledge and experience. She is a rockstar! She knows how to keep things organized, how to keep everyone on track, and how to advocate for her couples when needed. Charlene, Tom, and the entire JuneBug crew are a well oiled machine that knows how to make your day run smoothly. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, during our ceremony the creek was flowing behind us and the afternoon sun was filtering through the trees. It was peaceful and magical. There was plenty of space for guests to wander, and endless scenery options for wedding photos. The proximity to Weaverville and Asheville was also such a bonus compared to many other venues that require a longer drive. We felt that JuneBug offered incredible value for the cost. As a bride, the entire experience felt like a dreamy movie. Our original wedding date was scheduled for a week after Hurricane Helene came through, and sadly, we had to postpone. During that incredibly difficult time, Charlene showed her strength and compassion. She was there for us through the entire process of navigating a sudden rescheduling of our wedding. They were dealing with so much of their own recovery, yet they never missed a beat communicating with us and supporting us. They went through so much in the following months to make sure all of their couples still had the weddings they dreamed of.
