Wooden steps and walkways guide you down to the valley below. If you are brave enough to swim in the Cold water you have to get past the very slippery rocks. Prepare yourself to look a bit silly!! This is basically a nature reserve for, well, mutton birds, if you can find one in the long grass. There is also a whale watching platform at the far end, and if you are really lucky then you might even see a whale.

It looks like a nice place for breakfast actually, the menu was pretty decent. Personally, I thought that the banana would be bigger. Still, Sawtell isn't a particularly huge town, so it is one of those places to visit to basically escape the rather touristy places further down the coast.

The lady that picked up the phone and told us front desk was already closed. I was like that is odd... I asked Corey are they still showing on booking.com for 1 night he said yes. Being from the industry I knew that could not be right as if they don't accept reservations you would have set yourself to 'closed to arrival'. So Corey called back to ask if we could book online and there be a way to collect the keys. Same lady goes yes that works. Bit perplexed why she did not advise us of that on the earlier call... Anyhoo we went and booked via booking.com and all was done. Arrived at 8.30pm and there was the same lady sitting at front desk... Hmmm thought it was closed. Hahahahhahahahahahhaha. She was so friendly that we did not query it and just chuckled. Btw just taking one step back when we drove up to the resort at first I was like where you taking us Corey. To a deserted Forster where the big bad wolf will be. It was pitch black and really looked like in the middle of know where. Than approaching from the outside it looked like a very simple little place. But once we stepped in there was life and other people and actually looked very quaint. As kitchen was closing we first had dinner (see my review for the flooded gun... Devine!!). Got back to car and drove via the side of a beautiful 18-hole golf course to arrive at our accommodation for the night. Utter delight a nice massive king size bed for us both to get lost in. The rooms are massive. We have a sofa the room as well. Nice balcony overlooking the golf course. Only shame is its been pouring cats and dogs since yesterday. Which is not the resorts place hahah. Really hoping the weather will improve as we on holiday and looking for sun. Anyways this is a nice little hide away. As for the price for Australian standard it's not bad. I myself still after 6 years of being here get baffled at how high the prices for accommodation are in this country. Day light robbery. Alas. ;)
