After that, no instructors were available to teach on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Uncertified members are not allowed to use 3D printers unsupervised. Certifications are only done on Sundays (one of my work days). Jeremy Hanson replied that for a $50 fee, an instructor could come in on one of my days off from work. On the last day of my work week, I had to isolate due to Covid Omicron. When my doctor cleared me to return to work, I followed up with Jeremy but got no response to either of 2 e-mails I sent. I also contacted contact@seattlemakers.org and got no response. I can't say I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Sure they only have one 3d printer, but did you know about the industrial sewing machines, the panoply of woodworking tools or the packed micro metal shop? All the tools are owned/donated by the members who needed space for their craft, so the capabilities are quite diverse. The facility is very member oriented and they'll work with you to configure the space for your craft or process. There is a basic membership option for $75/month which lets you use the tools and public areas. Higher-tier members can opt to set up a private desk. ALTSpace was founded by burners and is now associated with Ignition Northwest, so Burning Man culture is widely practiced (look up "Burning Man's 10 principles"). Members share tools and knowledge as well as consumables and materials (not wantonly, of course, private bins are available), clean up after themselves ("leave no trace"), and generally value self-expression and community involvement. If you have a small-to-medium sized project or need a centrally located space to practice your craft I highly recommend giving Air Light Time and Space a look.

It allows for local artists to grow and collaborate with one another. The Fishbowl is also the finding group for the Uptown artwalk. The space has been so welcoming and I love coming here to meet with other artists! I've made some great friends! I highly recommend checking out the space wether your looking for a studio or just looking to hang out with other artists!

The place is rather messy and hodgepodge and had an odd smell when I was there. If you're someone who likes their shopping experience to be clean, well-lit, and orderly, this ain't your joint. But it's fun to go through the shop to inspire yourself and see if any treasures call out to you. Some things were a great buy and some were not, so shop wisely. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and I support the reuse and upcycle mission of Seattle ReCreative, so I'll be back.
