The kids come away with a better understanding of who they are & what they can do. Things they never thought they would do ever become things they do on a regular basis. I have experienced this miracle first hand. So check them out if your child needs a different kinda of summer camp or school experience.

The way that your agency provides guidance towards leadership, personal goals, life skills, and skills to help promote people skills has been very helpful. Every time my daughter comes home from camp, she is so personable, displays leadership, self-love, and better life skills towards being independent. The way that your camp help provides tools to help with decision-making and building confidence is wonderful. As we know children on the spectrum struggle with confidence and self-love which is hard to take on as a parent. All I can do is continue to help her with the understanding that she is wonderful and a gift that I am so grateful for. Your staff always has an open heart and mind. Which helps my daughter embrace new things that she would typically fear such as jumping in the deep end, petting, and riding horses. This helps her further enhance her knowledge and capabilities in life because of your amazing staff and program. Thank you Camp Soar for helping Mykayla believe in herself. We are hoping that she is able to attend camp this year. We appreciate you all so much! Love, Mykayla and Yolanda

The PA system music that was installed can be heard all over the camp. Phillips Arena level loudness. The PA system takes away from children being in an outdoor camp, hearing the sounds of the water, birds, quietness of the wooded outdoors. It is no longer a peaceful, memorable experience. A big concern is some songs are very inappropriate for children, even the teens. We now have found other wonderful overnight outdoor camps.

Not the kind we were hoping for, but if your goal is to spend a small fortune sending your child to a place where getting sick is practically a group activity, then look no further. By day two, kids were dropping like flies with fevers, chills, and every symptom you can imagine. The medical staff? Totally unbothered. They handed out Tylenol like it was some kind of miracle cure and acted like everyone was just being a little dramatic. Apparently, "actual illness" wasn't part of their training. Even when kids clearly needed to leave, the staff was more concerned with keeping them on-site than keeping them healthy. It took an absurd amount of effort to get our daughter out of there. Once home, we took her to a real doctor--you know, one who actually acknowledges symptoms--and shocker: she had COVID. She was miserable and, of course, passed it on to our entire family. The best part? We paid a ridiculous amount of money for all this. For what we spent, I honestly thought we'd at least get functioning healthcare and a basic grasp of public health. But I guess that was too much to ask. So, if you're in the market for an overpriced immune system challenge disguised as a summer camp, this place absolutely delivers. Otherwise, maybe look for a camp that treats sick kids like people instead of problems.
